My computer is silent. I think XP audio drivers are corrupted__If I install Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade it will provide new drivers for sound card?

My computer fell silent months ago after a download. I checked the healthy zone and everything is on and not anywhere in the system. I did a scan of unknown quality and that indicates a problem with the audio drivers. I tried to download new divers from Microsoft.

Rather than spending all the resources on the Windows XP system, I am considering Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade. Upgrades include new audio drivers which will replace or overwrite the existing problem and make it all work as it should again.

You can not spend XP as it's a clean install to get W7 on your PC.  To help transfer data documents, use the transfer on the W7 DVD program.

Before doing that I suggest you download the Advisor to upgrade to W7 from Ms. If your PC passes, then you go to the next step which is download W7 drivers for your video card, sound card, printer, etc. and their storage on a USB for post install W7.

If your PC isn't at the height (lack of drivers for one or more of your cards), then I would stick to XP. There is no guarantee that Vista drivers work in W7.

If you stick to XP, download the drivers for specific sound card XP the PC manufacturer's Web site, they can be more up-to-date than those at Ms.

See you soon,.

A new facility was made and this succeeded. How to activate Windows 7 on this computer and cancel the license on the defective HP DV 9000?

As long as it is no longer in use on the old machine, you can re-enable it by phone on the new machine.

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

  • Can I use Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (3 users) to install Windows 7 Edition home premium 64 on a desktop computer running the OEM version of Windows Vista Home Premium 32?

My desktop system is an Acer E700 Intel Quad Core 2.4 GHz with 4 GB of RAM and 1 Gig video running Vista Home Premium OEM 32 version. I plan to upgrade the hard disk of 1 tetrabyte before upgrading the OS.  If so, how should I do this?  I have to restore the backup to disk to the new disk before update for Window 7 64?

My second office is already running Vista Home Premium 64 so this upgrade using the family must be right before correct?  Or do I need to backup to the subject programs before moving to Win7 64?

    Thanks in advance.

You will need to do a reformat to perform installation and you reinstall the applications.  There has never been a way to upgrade from x 86 to x 64.  You will need to do is use your x 64 media to install Windows 7 on new hard drive, use your product key on the certificate of authenticity located on the side of the Acer desktop computer.  You will always be the OEM license terms, as you install the same Windows SKU.  Product keys are interchangeable between x 86 and x 64, but you will probably need to call to activate Windows after installation - usually the Internet activation does not work on current versions of Windows using the seller great modes of action.

  • I can install Windows 7 Home Premium if I have XP Professional on my computer

I upgraded my Toshiba laptop which had Vista Home Premium, Win 7 Home Premium.  Now, I want to install Win 7 Home Premium on my desktop that currently runs Windows XP Professional.  There will be problems with this Setup?

You don't mention the model Dell and model number. There may be technical specifications to run Windows 7, but it still might not be perfectly for him.

Assuming it's a go, you should be able to perform a clean install of Windows 7 on it with no problems. Have you backed up all your data again? It is always important!

    Hello.

I'm looking for help. I installed 10 windows and everything worked great yesterday.
When I turn on my pc today and tried to play some youtube vids I noticed there was no noise at all, I checked with click on the volume icon and tried 'reading devices', 'sounds' and "open volume Mixer" and goes on to say "NO AUDIO DEVICES INSTALLED.

    Hello

How to fix no sound on Windows 10 question

Step 1: Right click on the sound icon in the taskbar at the bottom right of the screen and select the playback device from the context menu that ensued.

Step 2: Select the current in use and by default playback device, it should be pregnant. Double-click to open its properties window.

Step 3: Got to the Advanced section and change the baud rate to one of the following - 24bits/44100 Hz or 24 bit / 192000Hz - depending on the configuration of the speakers.

If the issue is still unresolved, you can try another method for the restoration of a sound:

Step 1: Launch the Start Menu, find the Device Manager and then launch it.

Step 2: Expand sound and audio devices.

Step 3: Right-click on the current sound driver and choose Uninstall.

Step 4: Finally, click on Search the hardware changes and the updated driver will be automatically installed.

That's all. Your computer speakers should now be able to play sounds normally. If the sound is still not working, then try download and install the latest drivers for sound card for Windows 10 from the manufacturer's website.
