  • Satellite A100 CD/DVD drive is not listed in the BIOS or Device Manager

    1. the original drive does not work. After inserting a disc shines the light of the drive and it runs - but nothing else.
A little investigation shows no optical drive listed in the BIOS or Device Manager (naturally).

    2. perhaps I would reinsert the disc, but I can't find any instructions on internet about this disc removal/replacement.
    Or in the operating manual.

Can someone direct me to these instructions?

    Thank you very much

S manual is not the same thing as maintenance manuals. Please note that this is not the same and the exact description on laptop procedure disassembly is only authorized service.

Anyway, as far as I know the optical disk drive is fixed with a screw and it can be removed from the underside. The screw is placed near the cover of exact memory on the optical drive. Not on side cooling event, but on the other side.

Be careful because everything you do is at your own risk.

  • My CD/DVD drive does not read and is therefore no longer is visible on my computer, the BIOS or Device Manager.

I just realized when inserting a CD, he has not read. I havn't he used in awhile, so it can't just happen. When I insert the CD you can hear it spin and green light flashes, but after about 10-15 seconds it stops and the light goes out. Under 'My Computer', I see more player. I don't see the driver CD/DVD option in my Device Manager menu longer, and I do not see it in the BIOS. I have a HP Pavilion Labtop.

    Any ideas? Thank you!!

Since it is not recognized in the BIOS, which means that the reader could have failed, there is a possible cable or
problem of controller or other hardware problems.

    ===================================

If you can get it to be recognized in the BIOS and it still doesn't work, maybe these will help.

You might have a disk problem as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD and CD burn and)
DVD playback). Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are some registry entries
that the troubleshooter does not, and those who "could" be the cause.

Check with your system manufacturer Maker and device for possible firmware updates and the good
    Your player registry entries.

Here are the keys in my opinion, are those in question - for the reader of CD/DVD subkeys of course that he will be
other subkeys in these keys. Be sure to ask specific keys involved as well as the parameters.

Hard drive not detected by the Bios and the device under Vista Home Premiun Manager

    Hi trinitario,.

Because the hard drive is not detected in the BIOS also, it may be due to a hard drive configuration that should be changed or a rider. If you need to get in touch with a Local tech-store for assistance.

Note: change in the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • External hard drive not appearing is not in Windows Explorer

I have a Toshiba external hard drive that has been previously connected to a MAC and that worked very well. I have data on the MAC that I need to put on my PC that is running Windows Vista, but when I plug it into the computer it does not appear in windows Explorer.  She appears as installed hardware and appears under Device Manager/disk management, but there is not a disk entrusted to him.  When I right click on it to assign a drive, this option is grayed out and I can't assign the driver.  Is this what can I do to access the external drive?

    Thank you

    Try the DISKPART command line?

    Using a command line

    1. open the command prompt.

    2. type: diskpart

    3. at the DISKPART prompt, type: list of volume

Note the number of the simple volume without drive letter assignment.

    4. at the DISKPART prompt, type: select volume n

Select the volume, where n is the volume number, without drive letter assignment.

    5. at the DISKPART prompt, type: assign letter = L

Where L is the drive letter you want to assign to the drive.

AutoPlay must illuminate with the newly assigned drive letter.

My external hard drive does not appear in my sidebar of the Finder on my MacBookPro. It is mounted (I checked the disk utility) and my Finder preferences are set for the drives appear in the sidebar. It's a Toshiba 2 TB and I can access it on other MacBookPros.

Double check because there is another option in the Finder-> Preferences-> general of external drives to appear on the desktop.

  • External hard drives not appearing is not in Premiere Pro Media Browser

Hi all!  My external drive are not displayed in Premiere Pro... and Yes, they worked very well yesterday.  The internal drives both appear, but the external drives are not accessible.

At first, I thought maybe it was the reader (a new USB 3.0 which worked yesterday)... I tried to change the cable, change the disk, even a USB 3.0 drive change to a drive FW 800.  Doesn't appear on my desktop, as well as in other applications (including the 'other' edition platforms and After Effects) etc... but none are appearing in Premiere Pro.

FWIW, I tried in the first Pro CC as well as Premiere Pro CS6.  I tried to restart the computer, creating new projects, hold down the option key while starting the first, using CS repair of digital rebellion... all to nothing does not.  Any thoughts?

Why I can not install Lightroom to a custom through the creative cloud location?

Lightroom must be installed on your local disk and cannot be installed to a creative custom as other Cloud applications location. Lightroom always installs to the default location and does not take into account any preference you select for a custom location. This behavior is specified.

  • X 51 - R2, BSOD, internal hard drive not found

I get a blue screen on average once a day telling me that it is a: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR until the computer tries to restart bring me to a black screen saying that the internal hard drive is not found. Turn off the computer and restart it solves the problem and the computer works well until the next blue screen. The first time that this happened was right, once I had configured Windows 8 and was about to enter the control panel. It happens literally just out of the blue, often when you make simple and menial tasks. I ran all the Dell diagnostics and apparently everything is fine. Again, as mentioned in the title, it is a brand new Alienware X 51 R2; I unpacked it a week ago.

If anyone else has had this problem, and if you have, did you find a solution?

I have been in dialogue with the technical support and ultimately the motherboard and HARD drive had to be replaced. This seems to fix the problem and the computer runs great now without any problem whatsoever.

  • External hard drive not detected with the error: "You must format the disk in the J: drive until you can use it."

    Hello

I have an external hard drive to work perfectly. I'm back from vacation, and it does not appear under "My Computer". It appears under "Devices and printers", however. This is a link to a screencap of Device Manager: http://i.gyazo.com/9e91e1d71ed32c55dba0419e79b499d5.png

The device in question is that of J:, and it says here that he has 100% free space, that worries me, because he had only 50 GB of free space when I used the latter. After that I open the disk management, I get a pop up message saying: "You must format the disk in the J: drive until you can use it."

How can I get my hard drive appears again?

    Thank you
