Windows 7: installing Counter Strike problem

When I put the cd in an alert appears

-You are able to install other programs outside strike cs?

First of all, check if the windows service install is set to automatic and started. To do this follow the steps below:

  1. Click Start.
  2. In the start search box type services.msc and press enter
  3. In the services window, do scroll down to Windows install.
  4. Right-click on it and click Properties.
  5. Check if the startup type is set to automatic, otherwise it is set to automatic.
  6. Click the Start button, this will start the installation of windows services.
  7. Click on apply and Ok.

Check if you can install Counter Strike on the computer.

If it fails after following the steps above, you can try to access the counter strike CD and try to do a right-click on the installation and configuration icon and select run as administrator and check if it helps you install the game with any questions.

If the problem persists, open Event Viewer and check if there are other important messages/error codes generated during the time where the installation failed and post it back.

    The most common cause of this problem is damaged or outdated video card drivers. Please make sure that your video card drivers are up to date.
    You can also consider to reinstall the drivers for your video card if the game has worked previously on the same hardware you use now.

    Also uninstall and reinstall cs strike and check if it helps.

    Please use the Forum of responses of Microsoft Windows Vista.
     
    It seems that this problem with CS has been resolved by running it in Windows Xp compatiability mode.
     
    Right-click on the shortcut, choose Properties, compatibility, mark the run this program in
    compatibility mode for: choose Windows XP SP2.

    Recently, I installed an SSD. I installed windows 7 Ultimate today, no problem. Was very easy. I installed all the readers on my USB Lenovo website. Everything seems good but the WiFi will not detect. I restarted my laptop after installing the drivers, still no good. I'm trying to brain any solutions I can think of the storm. When I get home from work, I intend to download readers updated to intel. I also looked in the forums, but nothing for Y50.

    Any suggestions?

    Determine the first if you the Intel or Broadcom or other wifi card. Examine device manager if there is marked yellow icons.

  • DirectX error when you install the game: "an internal system error has occurred. See DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine the problem.

    I am trying to install a game open source called Rigs of Rods on my dual-boot MacBook Pro with Windows 7 installed via Boot Camp. I get an error that prevents the installation of DirectX. I know that Win 7 includes DirectX 11, but this game does not currently support the DX 11. If I get this error when you try to install DirectX 9. I had a similar problem with another game that I tried installing on another machine Win 7 which is not started in dual mode, and install DirectX 9 worked perfectly.     To get rid of this error, I suggest you to install the latest version of Windows Installer, which you can download from the link:

    Step 2:
     
    Start the Windows Installer service.
     
    1. Click Start, type Services.msc and press [ENTER]

    4. Click Start to start the service. Note the error message, if any.

    5. click on OK.

    Step 3:

    The Windows Installer CleanUp utility deletes all files and registry settings associated with the configuration of Windows Installer of a program.
