• Compatibility problem - Windows 7 with WS7 and HP Connection Manager 3

  Hi all

  I hope someone can help me. I have the following configuration:

  Laptop HP 8530w

  HP un2400 builtin Broadband Modem UMTS

  Windows 7 Professional x 64

  VMWare Workstation 7

  My problem is that the HP Connection Manager 3 for the HP un2400 doesn't work anymore after installing VMWare Workstation 7. I'm unable to connect to a UMTS network because the connection manager think, for vmnet1 and vmnet8 virtual network cards are online an internet connected.

  I tried to disable the virtual networks through the VMWare Network Editor. I can't disable the adapter, but when I apply the settings, the GUI is suspended.

  I need to uninstall the HP connection manager. After that, I am able to disable the cards.

  But ultimately I need for my work, the vmnet1 + 8 adapters on the host and Manager of HP connections.

  Does anyone have similar problems?

  I did some more tests. I changed the startup type of the service USB arbitration for the delayed start.

  It works for me. Active delayed start the connection manager load the firmware of WWAN cards before USB arbitration service is embarrassing. The only condition is that the connection manager must be loaded at windows startup.

  This has been raised before but I can not get this program to run.  I've used it on my desktop with xp and it works well.

  I have two identical laptops & this program installs but then nothing more than 1st page. In the compatibility section it says "incompatible application detected."

  The other message when it runs the solution etc is "your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly run Setup again for this application from the location where you originally installed it.

  I have uninstalled & reinstalled on two laptops

• Windows 7: installing Counter Strike problem

  -You are able to install other programs outside strike cs?

  First of all, check if the windows service install is set to automatic and started. To do this follow the steps below:

  1. Click Start.
  2. In the start search box type services.msc and press enter
  3. In the services window, do scroll down to Windows install.
  4. Right-click on it and click Properties.
  5. Check if the startup type is set to automatic, otherwise it is set to automatic.
  6. Click the Start button, this will start the installation of windows services.
  7. Click on apply and Ok.

  Check if you can install Counter Strike on the computer.

  If it fails after following the steps above, you can try to access the counter strike CD and try to do a right-click on the installation and configuration icon and select run as administrator and check if it helps you install the game with any questions.

  If the problem persists, open Event Viewer and check if there are other important messages/error codes generated during the time where the installation failed and post it back.

  Please use the Forum of responses of Microsoft Windows Vista.
   
  It seems that this problem with CS has been resolved by running it in Windows Xp compatiability mode.
   
  Right-click on the shortcut, choose Properties, compatibility, mark the run this program in
  compatibility mode for: choose Windows XP SP2.

  The most common cause of this problem is damaged or outdated video card drivers. Please make sure that your video card drivers are up to date.
  You can also consider to reinstall the drivers for your video card if the game has worked previously on the same hardware you use now.

  Also uninstall and reinstall cs strike and check if it helps.
