Windows 7 is not genuine - how I re it genuinize please?

I've seen many variations on the theme in the list.

I think that the mine was triggered by my hard drive for a bigger update (one year + there is) and months later, the wailing began.

As a result of google I was 'advised' to remove a specific file from the windows directory (?) KSsomethingorother?)

That it reduced to silence.

I was then taken ill and only recently realized that it had also stopped MicroSoft updates. :-(

I ran the MGADTool and looked at the output - it contains my ID and passcode, it seems a little 'off' which stick in open forum, but I don't want to get W7 re-genuinize as I want to migrate as much as I can to W8.1 (TI all started with W98 and has been upgraded and migrated since then.) Something, I like to keep, but the installers have long since disappeared.  Sorry for the long explanation (short version).

Yes, that is exactly the problem.  Some sites Web de Microsoft simply refuses to display if you are not using IE.

Although I have no personal experience with these versions of Windows had, I hope that if you chose a different browser, like Firefox, you won't IE anywhere on your system.  In order to access websites such as the Microsoft Download Center, you will need to install IE (but you can still be configured as default Firefox browser).  All of these links work in Firefox:

    3. Select the telephone activation option.

    Dial toll-free and reactivate Windows.

    It is normally the result of one or more corrupted files 'Activation' of Windows or a problem with the BIOS of the computer. This system requires a BIOS with an SLP/SLIC 2.1 table to activate a SLP 2.1 OEM Windows 7 product key and a "certificate" of SLP 2.1 OEM.     Alternatively, if you still can still read the product key 25 character on the Microsoft COA affixed to your computer, try to use it to activate your computer.

    You will need to buy a legitimate windows from a legitimate retailer or go back to the windows, your computer comes with that.

    Did you of recent changes made to your computer installed as new hardware or software?

    Did you install some registry cleaners? It can be a factor when Windows reports its not genuine, if you need to uninstall it.

    I have a copy of Windows 7 Home premium in a few years, I bought at Costco. In September 2015, I had a collapse of PC, so I built a new machine i7 with 16 GB of RAM, a 250 GB, 4 GB video card SSD, etc..

    From time to time I get the "windows 7 is not genuine, Build 7601" error. I found a solution that will remove the message for about a month, then it returns.

    My other three machines run Windows 10. This machine win 7 is my PC photography business, running Adobe cloud, and tons of plugins and software publishing, I have NO desire to mess with.

    is your computer HP no. had an OEM license, and may not be transferred to another computer.  Try to use these discs to the computer somehow on-the-job will ensure that you will never fix your activation problem.

    In your new question, it might be advisable to use activation by telephone.  You can get the number to use by typing slui 4 [not only slui] in your search box of the start menu.

    There might be a technical problem that needs fixing first, so you could wait and the advice.  There are problems in other parts of the system that can destroy havoc of activation as having a substantially incorrect clock time.
