Windows 7 ISO language problems

Hi all

I recently lost my install DVD for Windows 7, but has my product key. When downloading the ISO, I found that although I bought an English dub, I only get options for foreign languages. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Thank you

Zach

I have a retail purchased copy of Windows 7.  COA and all is good.  Disc is damaged without repair possible.  I was thrilled to find that I could just download a copy by entering my key in https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows7.  However, my excitement died quickly when the only option I got was the Korean version.  I have nothing against the Koreans, they are great people with amazing food.  But I don't speak their language, and I have no intention of learning.  I'm sorry.

How can I get the English (United States) version of correction of the installation media?

The site has been very little reliable for a while now and it looks like Microsoft didn't have no intend to set unfortunately. You will have to use alternatives.

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

  • Windows 10 education and problems of Boot Camp 6.0.1

I try to install Windows 10 on my (2.7/8 GB / 256 GB) 2015 13 "rMBP El Cap 10.11.2 running and I do not know how to do in this regard. The first time, I used a regular Windows 10 .iso and it for some reason some wouldn't let me put my education product key in. He told me to remove my USB which held the .iso image file and restart my Mac. Fact that, except it wouldn't let start me in the Boot Camp partition after. Deleted the partition and reformatted my main drive of OS X.

On the second attempt, I downloaded the image file .iso Windows 10 real education of the official academic site of MSFT. I get into Boot Camp, search for the file, set the size of the partition and click on install. It is said he needs an .iso of 64-bit, which I guarantee I have downloaded, as the name of the file has x 64 in it. I tried installation + 5 times and now it keeps giving me this message: "Boot Camp only supports installation of 8 or a later version of Windows 64 bit on this platform." Please use an ISO for 64-bit Windows 8 or later installation file. "What's the problem? Do I need to install the standard Windows 10 .iso image file and then upgrade to education edition once I get to the desktop? It was only to take less than an hour, and now it's happening 2 hours!

  • Has anyone else tried to get the English version of Windows 7 ISO of the MS download site? I have a valid key and the website let me only to get the Korean or French version

Has anyone else tried to get the English version of Windows 7 ISO of the MS download site?  I have a valid key and the website let me only to get the Korean or French version.  English useful MS tech 'UN' told me that the English version is no longer supported and should I install one of these versions and then download the language package and install it.  Has anyone else been in this position?  It was a horrible experience with the online chat with technical support.

    Marcus,

Some people have persevered with contact support via the link on the MS download site and have finally received the download links temporary for an English version.  [You will find these discussions if you looking for the Korean forum as most people in your situation included that word in their title of the question.  I don't remember one of these threads containing any additional info that would be of no use to you.]

If that does not appeal to you & you still cannot find your original installation disks, then buy a disc-relocation

    1. Amazon now stock reinstallation DVD for just a quid [the link is for their UK site site American stocks also to them].
    2. These seem to be exactly what they claim they do not have a product key and that they are specifically described as being for reassembly only - in other words, they are not an attempt to distribute pirated Windows.
    3. You must use your own product key for activation.
    4. Make sure order you Windows 7 edition {Home Premium etc.} that is identified on your certificate of authenticity [the label that contains your product key].
    5. Some of the sellers provide 32 bit and 64 bit DVD, while others provide one or the other.  So make sure you order the right kind.
    6. These discs can do everything what a system repair disc can do, so you'll not need to make a separately.
  • How to get Windows 7 ISO

A friend of mine had Windows 7 Home Edition Basic that came pre-installed on his laptop, but it was corrupted some reasons, and he's using Ubuntu for the same reasons for awhile now. The problem is that it doesn't have the original CD that came with the laptop for recovery and he lives far from his home, it is almost impossible to think of him visiting his home for even after 6 months. So, is it possible to get a copy or download of Windows 7 Edition Basic, so that it can install family and then to activate, use the original product key that came with the laptop?

    Hello

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

As you have licensed preinstalled OEM (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they need to provide for a fee.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

There will be a recovery partition to reinstall, but installation Ububtu would have ruined this method

    See you soon.

  • Where to find the correct SHA1 checksum for the upgrade Pro Windows 8 ISO?

I ordered the Windows 8 Pro upgrade online.  (not a preview but the new product on 26/10/12).  I downloaded and burned the ISO of the English version of the Windows 8 ISO file.  I'm assuming that 64-bit. This took place without incident.  I started the upgrade on a PC running Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, but it failed during the installation phase of Windows 8 to 72% with the error "installing Windows 8 failed".

So I restarted the upgrade and it has not exactly in the same place (72%) and the same cryptic error.
So I contacted the Microsoft Store and they helped me to go through the process of downloading a 2nd time.  The 2nd ISO file was exactly the same size, BUT it had a different SHA1 checksum!
Then I tried the upgrade using the new DVD burned in the 2nd ISO file and it failed at exactly at the same stage of the upgrade (72%).
So I got two corrupt downloads / Burns?   I have no way to tell because all I know is that they have different amounts of control.
Maybe they all are both wrong, or maybe the question is something else entirely.
But first things first.   How can I determine if my ISO file is correct?
What is the checksum SHA1 of a non-corrupt ISO file?    Where to find the information online?

I have the same problem with my 64-bit windows English version.

I created a bootable DVD from iso and started to install a clean install by formatting the hard drive.
Installation will be stuck at 17% and it happened to me like 3 times and I burned a fresh DVD and always the same question.
It's like the worst level ever... Is there a way I can download an iso of 64-bit bootable DVD and use it to upgrade?
