Windows 7 loading Temp profiles

He is a GP problem, I think...

Teachers can log in fine with their profiles, but students still get temporary profiles when its connection... I'm in the registry as all that I keep seeing said, and they say she should have the SID.bak... it doesn't. I don't see anything that says C:\users\TEMP... Any ideas what this is caused by the GP? I'm currently on 2003 domain.

  • Why Windows Vista does not load user profile?

When logging on it says unable to load the user profile, but the profile is there when I log in Administrator account, how do I recognize my account that I used to use? Everything worked fine until I went to reboot my Dell Vosstro 220, running Vista SP2 with all latest updates... He went to the Startup Repair, and after awhile, I was dirrected to restart the computer. When it restarted, it went to a temporary user profile named after one it starts normally, but there was 3-0 and temp after the profile. So the desktop icon were almost all gone and when you run a temp profile nothing is saved in it when you use... I've logged on to the administrator account and under C:\computer\users my account, I used to use with 2 temporary accounts. One was exactly like my normal account (mountain), but with temp000 after her. I went to Microsoft Answers and he said to go to regedit and find the profiles under machine\software\microsoft \windows NT\profiles and change the name of the supposely accounts 2 so it would not load the Temp account. I followed the instructions to a T and everything is OK except that now it does not load the Temp file, it just says: windows could not load the user profile. I have to hit Control, Alt, delete to bring up the Task Manager and then type Administrator and password that works very well. When I click on administrator, it displays the screen with all that on the computer. MountainMan used to be there under administrator, but he disappeared. If I go down to users in a subcatigory under computer and users it lists all of the accounts that I should be able to access. All the information is there, it doesn't seem right to see as an account profle to load up. I've always had it set to start on MountainMan account without password. Now it takes forever to load the administrator account. It must also be typed in each time instead of remember accounts. How can I get MountainMan load again? The info is there, but he doesn't seem to know the location more. Even when I type in MountainMan it just says unable to load the user profile. I don't know if typing in the name of the account is the same problem or if I have 2 problems. I appriciate any help to correct this situation. Also just FYI, I deleted temporary files after changing names, in which case they were confusing.

    Hello

    You can try the following.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Pick a point to restore at least 24 hours before the opening of the session the question and then perform the restore.  When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.

Another option if the above does not help is as follows.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.

Another option you can try is to run through the steps in the guide on the following link.

Try the following per this KB.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/812339

Also, note, that link above is for XP. But it certainly looks like a profile problem. Here's how to create a new. Just create a new profile and delete the old one after the documents have been moved to the course.

1 / click on the Start button

2 / on the start menu, click the control panel option

3 / in the Control Panel, click the user account

4 / the user account window is now open

5 / in the list of options "Make changes to your account", click on manage another account

6 / user Account Control will now kick and ask permission to keep you. If you are the administrator, then simply click on the button continue. If you are not the administrator, then you need to get the administrator, the user name and password before you can continue.

7 / him choose the account you want to change the window will now open.

8 / click on create a new account

9 / the window "account name and choose an account type" open now

10 / type the name of the new account in the name dialog box.

11 / now select the Type of account you are interested in. You have two choice, Standard or administrator.

    • Standard - standard accounts allow the user to use most of the software installed on your computer and also to change the settings of the system that are not related to other users or is security settings.
    • Administrator - the administrator has complete control over the computer and can make changes they wish to

12 / once you have selected the type of account you want to create, click on the button create account

13 / new account will be created now.

    Hello Dixon7,

You can also do a simple check to confirm or not the temporary profiles are created.

    • First check in C:\Users for all profiles not created by your customer.
    • Then check Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > user profile > settings.
      • This will display a list of current profiles on the system.

Also, take a look on Microsoft for the Windows Vista KB Article, to see if it applies to your case: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215.

Overall, the underlying issue is simply corruption profiles of Hordie recommendation to create a new profile if the best. You could then just migrate the older user profile data to the new.

  • Windows 7 Temp profiles hold the trash?

    Hi all

We use Windows 7 Temp profiles on our public machines as a simple way to make sure data is allowed between each user session, but they seem to be reatining the trash?

It's not good that naturally, this means that some users will have access to other potentially senstive data.

We have a work around in the form of a group policy on logout that clears the sandbox, but it does not work 100% of the time (a separate issue we are working on our group's policies failed to present sometimes...)

Does anyone know if there is a suitable fix or a patch for it to ensure that the bins are disabled on logout or is the GPO itinerary best bet and we should get right at the bottom of our number of GPOS?

    Thank you very much!

  • Locking down system and now get error 'Could not load the profile user and loading of temporary user account' when you try to open a session

When my computer is on suddenly power went and my system also closed that crashed without logging my user account. now, I started my computer and I tried to open a session in my account (having only one user account) but he goes to the temporary login account, it displays "could not load the profile user and loading of temporary user account if you make changes to this user account it will be erased when you connect after." What can I do? How can I solve it? I use windows xp.

    Hi indhru,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. You have security software installed on the computer?

Try the step after the connection to the temporary account below.

    1. Click on the Start menu.
    2. Type Regedit in the Run dialog box, and then press enter
    3. Access
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
    4. There is 1 line for each profile. Especially if a profile is bad there are 3 things worth visiting:
    • Make sure that the name of the key are not ends in ".bad".
    • Make sure the RefCount value is 0
    • Ensure that the status value is 0
  • Windows 7 crashes my profile, leaving me with the "default" profile. Even if I wipe my laptop and re-install.

    Hello

First: I have two identical laptops purchased from Dell with the same hardware configuration - both delivered with Vista. I upgraded to W7 as soon as possible, and since then, one of the laptops does not load my profile several times.

I use to work as a system administrator, so of course, at the beginning, I didn't much attention to the mistake thinking it was just an incident. I formatted the computer, reinstall W7 and, of course, the error occurred again - constantly even if I wiped it and re-install.

What is happening is that the computer starts, I connect Windows crashes for the moment very loong and then all of a sudden he says "preparing your desktop". When that happens I know its load under the 'default user profile', it's 'welcome '.

This error occurs about two to three times in about 7 days. But not all the time - it's like periods. I usually get through this by organizing the closure for 4 seconds, restart, and then, if I'm lucky, gets through my office.

A few times that I had no chance - restart of 6 times in a row without luck somehow shows that the profile files are really damaged, and then I created a new migration profile all my old files. This process takes time - not simply copy my files but also the settings of my program.

Last week, I deleted my user just to create a new one-8 it recharges without success.

I looked in eventvwr.msc and found that everything begins with six fouls in a row. I don't really know what do - the error log says error but it seems not very well describe it.

    It goes like:

    1 error:
