Windows 7 on MAC bootcamp or parallels

Hello

Is this OK for me to buy an OEM of Windows 7 version to install on my Mac under Bootcamp (or parallel)? I looked to licensing and it seems it is the responsibility of the seller to sell OEM licenses with a preinstalled computer, but it affects me as a buyer? I'm warning so don't need any medium, etc.

If I need to install later on another machine, I would just buy a new copy I know OEM is tied to a single machine. However, it would be cheaper to buy 2 x OEM a full detail.

Thank you very much.

As you can tell from an OEM version of the license terms is intended for resale and is also linked to the 1st PC it installed on and cannot be moved to another PC. But there is nothing preventing you to install and use for your Mac.

If it is only the data (not apps) I use Dropbox. It turned out to be the best way to move things between the side Mac and the bootcamped Windows of my iMac side. I don't see why it would not work to move data from a virtual machine installation of Win to a BootCamp installation.

I do this to play Halo on my Mac.

This is the problem (which I corrected).  It's simple, all you have to do is to switch to XP, insert your mac installation disc and follow installation bootcamp, with all the drivers for mac compatibility.  The wireless just popped up as active.

I lost my, but this isn't a problem: just go to the apple Web site, use the express track, diagnose your problem and have a representative call you.  They answer in a few seconds.  Replacement CD is very cheap ($16-2011).  You can get the CD of requests for replacement, which is another $ 16, but it is not important; XP does not use it, only the operating system for the drivers.  Mine came very quickly, in just 2 days.

Hope that answers questions from the Internet.

  • How can I add a previously installed windows on my mac pro installation

Hi guys, everything becomes to collect my newly bought mac pro 3.1 (used). I'm moving PC, but how do I add my existing installation of windows on my mac? The mac pro is 3.1 and has 2 x 500 GB disks in a raid 1 TB configuration. It's just a matter of plugging my windows disk (I'm guessing No.) or is it a bit more complex than that? Any help or advice will be appreciated and hope to give back as much help as I get that I'm learning. Thank you

You can install Windows on a Mac computer using Boot Camp Assistant or by using a Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox virtual machine natively. Refer to the instructions of Boot Camp located here: http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/. OT If using a virtual machine see the instructions located on the Parallels, Fusion or VirtualBox sites.

In both cases you can not use a PC already existing installation of Windows. You need to reinstall Windows on your Mac.

  • Mac/Bootcamp/CS3

I used CS3 for several years on my PC. I use it only about a month of the year when I'm doing a calendar so I consider myself a novice. I have my old PC but recently bought an iMac of office. I think of installing Windows on my Mac just so that I can use my version of Windows of CS3 on my Mac. And if I do that I don't know whether to access it via Bootcamp or parallel. Anyone out there had an experience, good or bad, with that? I can continue to use my CS3 on my old PC, but I would prefer to use my new Mac.

CS3 works fine and has been tested with Windows 7. Because as often as you like for that Parallels is exaggerated and Boot Camp is much easier to implement. Just install Windows and you will be able to start on Windows or OSX.

  • Is it possible to run an application Windows on my MAC?

I have a new sewing machine, which connects via wifi to my computer for downloads, etc.  However, the software is only for a PC.  Is there a way I can run on my iMac?

You must install Windows on your Mac. Either as a Boot Camp partition separate or in a virtual machine, such as Parallels or VMware. With the first, you start directly in Windows. For all purposes, your computer is a PC. With the latter, you use Windows in OS X, so the two BONES are available at the same time.

There is also a CrossOver, which can run Windows applications to OS x without having Windows installed at all. But it of all or nothing if an application will run, uncertain, or not at all.

  • Windows 8.1 with Bootcamp installed in El Capitan. Do not delete with Bootcamp so I used the disk utility. Now, Windows always tries to start with an error, the 'other' space illustrates.

Long story short, I installed windows 8.1 using Bootcamp, went very well. I was just curious how it would go.

in any case, tonight, I decided to delete the Windows partition (Bootcamp Partition), and I got an error in Bootcamp that says "sorry couldn't do Mac OS partition a new»

With that I went to the disk utility and tried to partition the disk on a partition again, which it did, but now I have 40 GB of "other space". I literally have nothing stored on this computer, until I installed Windows 8.1 which was not there.

Also, when I start it up I always get Windows start first if I do not hold Option, then it goes to the blue screen, obviously because he's not here.

I started to recover, tried to fix it, verify, erase free space, etc.. I'm running a MacBook Pro 13 "128GB 2015.

On a Mac of 2015, the disc is divided into a group of logical volumes and Volume for OS X, and a partition for Windows. If BCA fails to restore it correctly, the part of Windows do not get properly gathered in the LVG/LV. The other questions you have, it's that there are remnants of the Microsoft your EFI partition Boot code.

To solve both, the easiest and safest method is

1 backup OSX and all of your files - use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

    2. boot into Internet recovery (CMD + Opt + R) - OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support .

    3. click on Utilties-> disk utility and erase your entire internal drive.

    4. restoration of OSX and your files - use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

This requires another external drive that can accommodate TM backup - backup disks that you can use with Time Machine - Apple Support .

Original title: Mac Bootcamp with Windows 8.

question 1 - can I use the license and bought Windows Pro 8.1 installer from the Microsoft store? I'm not sure about this, because what they acknowledge are users of Windows 7 and XP.

2nd question - in case, I wanted to uninstall and remove my windows partition 8 (bootcamp) and use it for another time, but on the same computer and with the same method (bootcamp), can I re-use my license key?

You cannot use the wizard upgrade in OS X. You will need to download it to a Windows-based computer that is running Windows 7 or Vista and create a. ISO file you need to transfer to OS X.

2nd question - in case, I wanted to uninstall and remove my windows partition 8 (bootcamp) and use it for another time, but on the same computer and with the same method (bootcamp), can I re-use my license key?

Yes, you can transfer the license to another computer, but you will need to reactivate over the telephone.

    Activation of the phone:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

Thanks in advance to all who will answer my questions. My apologies for the way I asked my questions.

You will need to use it on a Windows based PC running Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1

An alternative is to download the Windows Enterprise 8.1 90 day trial and use it to facilitate the installation of the copy that you have downloaded.

Download Windows Enterprise 8.1 90 days:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-Windows-8-1-Enterprise

Make sure you only download the architecture that is supported on your Mac, if you plan to use 32-bit or 64-bit of Windows 8.

That mistake has nothing to do with that said vs "I copied it", "I moved it" and entry into the library of Virtual Machine that shows the error, because there is no longer the path can be removed from the library Virtual Machine.  CTRL-click on the entry for the one who does not work, then select Remove.

I exempt backup capsal Virtial Machine time under Documents.

    It seems to work.

I can I have copied in the wrong place because you can't see the file under user/bill/document/virtual machine/folder.

Not sure if thi is a problem.

Well, if you are exempted from a folder and package kidnapped virtual is not in this folder, then of course, it is a problem because the packaging of the VM get backed up by Time Machine then I suggest that you correct the situation.

Under Capssule time I deleted backup for Fusion App in your applications because I assume that the large 27 GB file is there.

If not, where should I go to stop the time Capsule this large file to backup every hour.

Why the hell you would make such an assumption!  The beam of Fusion.app from VMware is separate and outside the .vmwarevm Package and files/folders are backed up by using the same relative paths because they reside on the Macintosh hard drive.  The only way that a real Virtual Machine you created would be inside the VMware Fusion.app Bundle is if you put unfairly here.  All you have to do the Virtual Machine library is ctrl - click on the target of the Virtual Machine and select Show in Finder and the ctrl + click the target Virtual Machine package and select information and look where he is.  The last part of what I just said is nothing more basic file management.

Still no undersyand why it works without Bootcamp and be applied to run the two without having to reboot to move backward. I question the manual I was for level 1 and updated version to version 2 have to be diferent.

You don't need to use Boot Camp in the VMware Fusion installation order and create normal file based on Virtual Machines.  Boot Camp is part of OS X 10.5 and later versions and is independent and has nothing to do with VMware Fusion, except if you also want to start the native Windows Installer on the Boot Camp partition in a Machine virtual Raw disk.  Take a look at choose settings of VM of law because it might help you understand a little more.
