Windows 7 OxE0000100 download error

RE: Windows 7 download error OxE0000100

Try to install Windows 7 (32-bit) via purchase DVD for my Dell Latitude D620 Laptop (XP), I get the above error.  Don't offer _ no _ Custom advanced - only Upgrade Advisor & install now.  Upgrade Advisor made several times., always installs without high error.  All solutions?  Thnx!

Hello

1. what type installation disc Windows 7 is this? It's an upgrade installation disc or the full version?
2. what operating system currently installed on your computer?

If you have Windows XP on your computer please run the checkdisk utility to check the bad sectors on the hard disk. The chkdsk utility is the same in XP it is 7. If the Player cannot be set by chkdsk, it is unlikely that the installation program will still work. There are some utilities available for download from the author of most of the readers on their Web sites. One of the diagnostic utilities running it probably is your next best step.

    Original title: download error

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

It seems that you have problems with downloading files on the windows vista computer.

The description of the problem seems a little unclear and I wish I had a better understanding before you start working on it. I would appreciate if you can help me with the following information.

    1. what browser you use on the computer?

    2. What is the exact full error message?

    3. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?

    4. deal with this problem if you try to download all files from online?

If you do this in the face of Internet Explorer help, I suggest that you should change the default download location and check if it helps.

    Method 1

In internet explorer, you can change the default location.

    Here's how:

    a. open internet explorer.

    b. click on Tools , then select view downloads.

    c. downloads for window, click Options.

    d. now, enter the default download location and click on the OK button.

Turn on the computer at the beginning of boot and check if the problem persists.

    Method 2

Perform a clean boot to see if no third-party service is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: follow step 3 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

  • my windows vista will not update or accept any download error code 800700cb

my windows vista does not accept updates or tried any download error code 800700CB can someone help pls?

    Hello

    (1) what is the exact full error message?

    (2) is the specific question of an update?

    (3) remember you to make changes to the computer before the show?

You can try the following methods and check the status of the issue.

    Method 1:

    Troubleshoot problems with installing updates.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-problems-with-installing-updates

    Method 2:

Disable your security software installed on the computer and try to install the updates.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • I try to upgrade to Windows 10 and downloading still failing. I get the following error message: 802400B,.

I try to upgrade to Windows 10 and downloading still failing. I get the following error message: 802400B, which means that it can not read one of the files required to download (update manifest). The recommended windows fix did not work. What should I do? Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

You can try the upgrade manually:

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).

Lync 2010 won't download - error says that it requires Windows 7 BUT I HAVE WINDOWS 7!

Very frustrating. After the use of Lync 2010 for the last year, he made a self-introduction to date and in a first, told time that a file was missing. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and now I am told that "only windows XP3, Windows Vista and Windows 7 are supported. Please update your PC"but I don't have Windows 7.

Yes I know it's old. My new PC is sitting here waiting for me to move, but that cannot be done for another month or two that I need to more memory in it. In the meantime, I need to get my Lync 2010 works again.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello Susie,

    Thank you for your response.

I hope you've got the resolution of the question in the forums of Lync.

However, if the problem persists, I suggest you to try the steps in this article and the Coachman.

Note: Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. When I try to download the update of windows I get an error code every time: 802440F. Can you please help me solve this problem?

    @ Evanston only!...

You see the effects of a hijackware infection! If you had used the computer longer, I might recommend trying to detect & remove infections. But it would probably take a week or two and I'm sure you have better to do with your time right now so I would recommend the following (which shouldn't take any more than two hours of uninterrupted time).

    See...

    Cleaning a compromised system
         http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc700813.aspx

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows. Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

HOW to do a clean install of Win7: see "using the custom installation and formatting the hard drive option" (or "reinstall it Windows 7") http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7 article

NOTE: If your computer came with a set of disks, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the restoration of the system) you would use to do the clean install (AKA a "destructive recovery").

After the new installation, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of EVERYTHING on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) AND BEFORE to plug in a flash, SD card, or any other external drive to the computer otherwise:

4 steps to help protect your new computer before going online
         http://www.Microsoft.com/security/pypc.aspx

VERY IMPORTANT! -Online free trial Norton will be reinstalled (but invalid) when Windows is reinstalled. You MUST uninstall the trial for free AND download/run the removal tool again Norton before installing updates AND BEFORE installing your new application antivirus (for example, Avast5 or Microsoft Security Essentials, free).

Tip: Do not install Spybot again; It's really overkill in Win7 my humble OPINION, especially if you are installing Microsoft Security Essentials.

    All is not lost.

Download and install a pack of codecs, such as K-Lite (Google for it). You can find THAT WMP can then read the file.

    Or
Download and install a small program called Gspot (Google it)! Drag and drop in its window one of the files, you can't plzy. It will tell you which codecs are used. You can then download and install the only after doing a search on the web for it.
    See you soon,.
