Windows 7 pro OA HP license - 3 missing characters
Hello
I recently bought a used Hewlett-Packard computer of a stock of old and because of security/privacy rules, the hard drive was erased, including the operating system. No software support has been included, but the key "Windows 7 pro OA HP" tag is on the cover. It is of the tag has a scratch, and therefore the 3 characters are missing on the product key!
Could you please tell me how I can get the exact product key so that I can install windows 7?
I can attach a picure of the striped tag if necessary.
Thanks in advance,
Concerning
New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.
This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...
For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

Hello. I upgraded a PC Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro via the anytime upgrade. My goal was to get the functional Remote Desktop connection so that I could connect to a machine at work. But, after the upgrade, activating the new W7 pro product and install all updates, still miss me desktop connection remote when I go to start / all programs / accessories. Can someone tell me how I could get the files added to my machine?
If you click on start, type: Remote Desktop
It appears?
You can also try the following:

Type: mstsc.exe
Press enter

Windows 8 Pro Pack upgrade license is transferable to another computer?
I would try Media Center on a cheap PC came with Windows standard 8. Unfortunately, this requires an expensive upgrade of $100. I need a machine that can record 2 channels OTA and read at the same time a registered program. If this machine proves to be insufficient for the task can transfer the update of Pro Pack to another machine to Windows 8? I don't want to keep throwing $100 Pro pack licenses until I found a machine that can do the job.
Furthermore, if an OEM full version of Pro was used (which is apparently transferable under the terms of the new license agreement) how can that be placed on existing product code, embedded in the UEFI? And, how can the original standard version be recovered later to return the machine to it's original OEM license when the Pro Pack is moved?
Yes, you can transfer it, you must first uninstall it.
Media Center - delete and go back to Windows 8 Pro - Windows
Windows 8 OEM System Builder License can clean only installs, you will not be able to use add features to the OEM key.
If you need another machine to Pro Pack, use simply add features once you have removed the key from the previous installation of Windows 8.
You will need to reactivate by phone:
Activation of the phone:
1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4
2. then press the ENTER"" key.
3. Select your "country" in the list.
4. choose the option "activate phone".
5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

from the start, windows fails to launch and a message of error due to the missing dll files is displayed
If Windows does not start, you can not install Service Pack 3. And no, it is unlikely that your computer could get repaired by doing so, even if you were able to try. Try a repair rather installation:

Possible corperate corrupt or expired license for Windows Xp PRO
One time, I bought a laptop with the already downloaded software.
Recently I went down load new software and it would not complete itself, said something to the effect of some file was missing.
I then in the Xp Pro updates in the hope that it would fix the problem.
Once there, Microsoft has verified the legality of my software and poster possibly my software has been corrupted or the coperate license has expired. For the life of me I don't know who it is, is that I am not very computer.
This camera cell phone with 'no windows installation disk' Windows Xp Pro.
My question is this, is there a way to solve this problem with losing them all my programs?
And if so, please point me in the direction to go.
Thank you for reading this.
What is the brand and model of the laptop? Is there a sticker Microsoft Windows certificate of Authenticity on it somewhere (usually the bottom)? If so, what version of Windows is listed? XP Pro, HP or something else?
What was the exact message that you received from Microsoft? Note that there is no such thing as a "showing" for Windows license.
Did you buy this laptop of opportunity by chance? If so, it is possible, there was once a version of volume license for XP Pro, which has since expired.

Two drivers Windows XP Pro for Satellite A100-233 are missing
I had to load Windows XP Pro on my A100-233 and 2 drivers are missing. For "Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus" & "SM Bus controller". Some of the function of substitute on top don't work or the other. For example the brightness, Wi - Fi and other facilities.
The icon of the "SRS TruSurround XT" on the Quick Launch bar is also absent. Where can I find these drivers?
Just one thing: you are able to create own Tools & Utilities CD for the installation of the OS more far but obviously you forgot. When the unit is Toshiba Assist factory settings, you can start and under protection & Fix you can find the option to do this.
When you have own Tools & Utilities CD, it is much easier to install own OS. In any case everything what you need you can find on the download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > download & support.
It is very important to install everything in the order of good facilities. Because of this you can also download the instructions facilities document. Please check and install all the things listed there.
Good bye

DC 7900 SFF: Missing driver for DC 7900 SFF Windows XP pro SP3
Hello
I already read this post: http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-PCs-Compaq-Elite-Pro/DC7900-SFF-Drivers-for-XP-Professional/td...
But unfortunately it does not solve my problem with a driver missing on the relocation of a Windows XP Pro SP3 with the DC 7900 SFF.
The missing pilot is linked to:
PCI \VEN_8086&DEV_ 3 A 02 & SUBSYS_3034103C & REV_02
Everything else seems fine.
If someone could give me some information or links to the correct drivers, would be great
(already tried most of the available drivers on the HP site for this model)
Thank you!

No, you can't. Why do you do this? It is not an upgrade; the
two are the same; only licensing rules are different. -
Windows tells me to run the install from the original CD, and then to enter the 'r' to repair the problem. I never get: Windows reboots repeatedly, or it crashes just without giving me the chance to enter the 'r '. A Windows XP Pro with SP3 iso file did not help; not more than another copy of a Windows XP Pro with SP2 CD. What should I do now? How can I systematically enter the Windows installation, and how can I do a repair installation?

==========
also please note that you can not do a repair install on xp sp3 with a cd of xp sp2.
It must be a cd with sp3 slipstreamed CD.
=====
If you can get into your bios default and the cd to start everything first and try again, what happens this time?
In addition, clean the cd by wiping gently from the Center to the edge, NOT in a circle, with a soft cloth wet litely.
your cd can have a streak that gives you the error.
=========
It can also be your player, you have a tower with two drives? If so pass out them and see if the problem occurs.

Windows\System32\Config\System is corrupted or missing from WinXP Pro
I can't start Windows Xp Pro. I get the following error message:
Windows\System32\Config\System is corrupted or missing. How can I fix the problem?
Hello krazykat9999,
We get this error when you are either unable to see the registry of the system hive or he is actually corrupt.
To remedy this, we need a Windows XP CD. If you do not have a Windows XP CD you can borrow one from a friend for repair purposes. If we are unable to get the CD anyway, there is another process that we can use. Please let us know and we will send you this information as well if necessary.
To boot into the recovery console, use the following article:
Description of the Windows XP Recovery Console for advanced usersOnce connected, use the chkdsk command to check the disk for errors.
This will be a certain amount of time and should not be interrupted:CHKDSK C:/p
Again, this will take some time to complete.
If this does not work, please see the following article to get back to a backup copy of the registry:
How do I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startupLet us know if you have any questions about it.
Best regards

How to license a windows xp pro boot diskless image

I have a problem with the windows license. As I realized that I can only use a single license for the image.
(Strictly speaking), this means that other computers even if they have the license key in the computer case will be illegal because they use an invalid license.
How can I make that legal?
Is it possible to use all the licenses in a single image?
