Windows 7 problem - transferred video files have audio, no video

I have a 2009 Dell laptop running Windows 7, which has received a critical update and put me in the loop of startup repair.  I am not at all concerned about the machine, but just trying to recover the files on the laptop.  The command prompt using high and xcopy, I am able to see the different directories and get all the files necessary for an external hard drive.

However, for video (.mpg) recovered, ago only audio and no video (at a time when I try to open the hard drive external when connected to my new laptop main running Windows 10 or directly on the mobile phone.)

Any help is greatly appreciated with a better way to transfer video files or to be directed to whatever codecs are necessary to be able to watch the videos as it is.

Thank you!

Updated - hooked to a Windows 7 computer external HARD drive and all the videos are very good.

Only problem is play on a machine Windows 10.

  • Imported AVI files have Audio slow

Hello! For some reason any, whenever I try to import a video AVI (with Xvid codec) and add it to my project, the audio file becomes extremely slow-like, 700 to 800 times slow. The audio is always cut at the same point in the video, in order to expedite the return gives me only a small part of the audio at the right speed. It is not a problem with the videos themselves, because they play normally in all other programs I've tried. This happens regularly with each AVI video I try. I have already installed the Xvid codec. I also tried all the troubleshooting techniques for video playback problems offered by Adobe. The audio is also the codec MPEG-1 L2.

I'm under first Elements 10 on Windows 7.

The codec xVid (as the Divx codec) is a delivery codec, not an editing codec. Attempt to modify xVid will lead to nothing but evil.

Best advice is to convert the file to MP4 with a steady cadence with the brake hand.

  • Windows VISTA problems with ".exe" files

I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium, 64-bit, SP2 on a HP Pavilion desktop computer. Recently developed a problem when you try to run any file with an ".exe" extension results in a window asking to "choose the application I want to use to open the file" or "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the control panel to define the Associations. " Any ideas?

    Hello
This problem occurs when your .exe file associations are broken. This is usually caused by a virus/malware that changes the default file associations in Windows. Follow these instructions to resolve this problem:
Download exeHelper from one of these two links: link 1, link 2 double click on exeHelper to run the fix. A black window should appear. Once the patch is finished, press any key to close.
Then try following the steps in this virus/malware removal guide: http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/malware-removal-guide

Looking at the specs of your camera (SJCam 4000), we already know what video compression your camera uses. It is H.264.

A H.264.mov file should be accompanied by a first elements 11. On what computer operating system is your first items 11 running?

What are the properties of these files H.264.mov - is it 1080 p (1920 x 1080 p 30) 30 or something else? Do you know if this device is registering with a variable or

If you use Internet Security of Trend Micro with Windows 7, this combination is probably what is causing the problem.

To fix this, open the main Trend Micro Internet Security (or similar). Open the Virus & Spyware controls. Choose the Protection against viruses & Spyware; Click settings, then advanced settings. Uncheck the box next to 'save files before you try to remove the virus '.

This solved my save all problems in Excel 2007 and Word 2007.

It is a symptom of textbooks classic does not have read and followed the original instructions to prepare the downloaded files.  You should have two files zip files.  They both must be decompressed in the same directory.  If you unzip using Windows graphic interface - in right click on the name of the file and selecting "extract all...". "the default behavior will be to create a directory, the same name as the zip file and extract in it.  Thus, file_1_of_2 pulls in directory_1_of_2 and file_2_of_2 extracted in directory_2_of_2.  You must override this stupid behavior by default and specify the directory yourself.  And specify the SAME directory for both files.

Or just go to a command prompt, change directories to the directory where the two zip files are located and deliver "unzip " and "unzip ", and they will both be properly unpack to a directory named "database".
