Windows 7 Professional, several computers.

How many computers is covered by a professional software for windows 7? We need at least 2 computers, 2 of our 4 already have.

the key that can be used with 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 is designed to drive 1. You cannot use install both. 1 license, 1 installation, so choose wisely. If you want to install Windows 7 32 bit on another partition or another computer, you must purchase an additional license for each computer.

  • Windows 7 Professional SP 1 retail copy that was purchased from the Microsoft Store will be not turn on after several re - installed.

I get very frustrated with the activation tool. My Windows 7 Professional SP 1 is a copy retail that I bought on the shop online Microsoft a year ago. At one point I had to reinstall my operating system several times on the same machine and now when I try to activate the copy it will just accept his authentic product key 100% (from Microsoft online store right?), so now, every time when I re - install, I have to contact Microsoft to activate it. I paid $300, I got a receipt from Microsoft as evidence and since my time is money, I don't want to call them every time when I want to re - install and activate MY COPY to the Windows DETAIL. When I call the Microsoft Support next time, anyway they will have to give me a new copy of Windows 7 Professional SP1 with a working product key, or everything just refund my money.

I would recommend that you try activation of phone since you reinstalled several times:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

    ---------------

In the future, in order to avoid having to reactivate every time you reinstall. I recommend that you create a backup copy of your Windows 7 installation after you enable it. When you want to reinstall Windows7 in the future, simply restore the active picture.

    Hello Demars_will,

Thank you for your message.  There are a few known bugs for this problem.  Try these two steps:

    Try first to this step:
Put your XP CD in the CD drive.
Click "Start" > click "Run" > Type EXPAND/r 'TheCDDriveLetter' \i386\SPOOLSV. EXE C:\Windows\System32 and press "Enter."

On the right, locate and double-click "Print Spooler" > auto value startup > select 'Start' > click 'Apply and OK.

A test to see if the spooler has begun.

If this is not the case, click HERE for a registry change that may solve your problem.  There are a few different registry changes, I don't know if you have tried this one or not.

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

  • How can I activate telnet in Windows XP Professional?

I've seen several references to XP Professional with a built-in telnet server and the 'help and support' section seems to indicate that as well, but I darn if I can find detailed instructions on how the hell activate you it after 20 minutes of Googling to pages with forums and ask the same question, people usually being will have a link to the technet database. I tried to look for it, but kept getting instructions for Server 2003 who say to test with telnet in XP command line control.

I want just a less cumbersome way to stop my main computer of the notebook on the cable network (in my room, the computer and I have a fake ethernet cable so I can access it from the bed I have wireless at home). I want to try telnet as it is less involved than remote desktop, and I can't do 'shutdown m \\slickswintel' at work (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-networking/how-do-i-use-the-shutdown-command-to-shut-down/645a45ee-d964-4f87-8c7e-98f446332c0e).

I thought I'd try to telnet. If I can limit the 192.168.1.X subnet traffic security concerns shouldn't be a problem. Yes, I am well aware of the limitations and why Telnet has been replaced by SSH. It would be a problem if I was trying to participate via the internet, rather than an inTRAnet of small LAN home network with a router/switch device that manages the internet gateway.

Could someone, give me a link to instructions for XP Professional? I don't even remember if I ever tried to set up telnet on Windows what it (server or workstation, even if it's a piece of cake to put in place under Linux (and SSH is simple too).

My goal is to turn off the computer from across the room without getting up from the bed, so I can stick this laptop on the bedside table and to sleep with as little hassle as possible.
Before suggesting the m \\slickswintel stop, read this:
    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_xp-networking/how-do-i-use-the-shutdown-command-to-shut-down/645a45ee-D964-4f87-8c7e-98f446332c0e

I do not understand why I needed to disable NTLM authentication when both computers have been running Windows XP Professional, which had been upgraded to SP3. They were on the same switch as well. The firewall on the router/switch stateless only works on inbound connections from external (internet) interface, and I'm sure that it is rather a feature of the NAT because it does seem that the vs TCP UDP and port number...

  • MS offers windows XP Professional free for customers windows XP Home Edition?

MY PC in the year 2002 came with windows XP Home Edition? But it was much slower compared to windows XP Professional. Many users for win XP prof especially pyrated version. PL Council MS will offer win XP Professional without cost or at a price of offordable?

There is actually no difference in speed between XP Home and XP Pro on a system clean and well-maintained, with adequate equipment. XP Pro can still be bought on Amazon, and perhaps other places. Looking right now, I see a full retail XP Pro on Amazon for $259. I would stay away from eBay and Craig's list for this sort of thing.

No, XP Pro is not available for free from Microsoft.

A better option would be for you to discover why your XP Home is slow instead.

Some reasons for the slow pace of the computer:

    1. computer has not been maintained - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Maintenance

    2. the computer is infected with the malware - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

    3. the disk is too full. Remove useless stuff, uninstall unused programs. Do not forget to save!
    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Backing_Up

    4. flaky third party software. Toolbars and modules are particularly guilty in this area. Uninstall toolbars (Google, Yahoo, ISP brand, etc) and look at what modules are in use in your browser (s).

    5. computer has too many unnecessary programs/processes running in the background. Manage your Startup:

For XP - How to troubleshoot using the Msconfig in Windows XP utility - http://support.microsoft.com/?id=310560
The free Autoruns program is very useful for managing your Startup - http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx

For Vista/Windows7 - Start Orb > Search box > type: msconfig and when it appears in the results area above, right-click and choose 'run as administrator '. Autoruns is also very useful.

    6. the user runs an inflated/invasive such as Norton and McAfee antivirus program. Replace it with a better program. I recommend NOD32 (commercial) or Avast (free). Avira is also good, but the free version has an unpleasant reminder screen (Google for instructions on how to disable it). The user can also run several real-time antivirus/firewall/security programs.

    7. the user has installed new programs that are processor and/or memory-intensive (Photoshop, AutoCAD, Mathmatica or similar) and does not have the power of the equipment.

8 drive fails and is in PIO Mode. It's very much slow (like being in 1985). See Hans-Georg Michna here information - http://winhlp.com/?q=node/10

In addition to the above, see also http://miekiemoes.blogspot.com/2008/02/help-my-computer-is-slow.html

Note: If the computer has always been slow, in addition to the above user may have bought a machine with a less powerful processor and not enough RAM (memory). The normal use of the computer, 512 MB to 1 GB is sufficient for XP; Vista should have a minimum of 2 GB; Windows 7 is less demanding than Vista, but the minimum of 2 GB should also be used.

  • Windows 7 on multiple computers

I was gifted a laptop with Vista 64-bit Home Premium installed. I consider upgrading this computer and perhaps a few XP computers I own, to Windows 7. So far after the fact, it is very difficult to find new copies of sale retail of Windows 7 professional home although the OEM versions seem to be easily available.

My questions: 1) versions OEM usable for upgrades or only for a facility 'clean '?

    (2) the full retail version can be installed on multiple computers? I've seen comments online indicating that you get three licensed facilities, and other reviews say just 1, as with the OEM software.

I'd appreciate certainly any confirmation or comment.

    Thank you very much

    Ken

Each computer must be licensed separately.

No, the key that can be used with 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 is exclusively for use with the disc 1. You cannot use install both. 1 license, 1 installation, so choose wisely. If you want to install Windows 7 32 or 64 bit on another partition or another computer, you must purchase an additional license.

There is no way to upgrade to Windows XP, you must perform a custom installation.

See the section of the following article for Windows 7 how perform a custom Setup.

How to: perform a customized Windows installation

The OEM versions cannot perform that installs custom/clean, so if that's what you want, it should not be a problem.

    Review:

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/13/WinXP-to-Win7/

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

    Full version (retail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

    -Expensive

    Upgrade version (detail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

-Expensive, but less expensive full version

    OEM System Builder version:

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

There is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

  • Chinese Applet handwriting missing in IME Pad on 64-bit Windows 7 Professional

After you have correctly added the language "Chinese (traditional, Taiwan)" and the "Chinese (traditional) - new phonetic" keyboard on my 64-bit Windows 7 desktop system, I couldn't find the 'Writing' Applet in IME pad.  Several new close examination of the pattern and rendering parameters no answer to the mystery.  What is even more puzzling, is that in the list of "Available Applets" in the traditional Chinese IME pad on the Windows 7 system, I found the writing Applets for the Japanese and Korean without ever installing languages/keyboards.

I have been using the Applet of traditional Chinese writing on 32-bit Windows XP Professional for years and it is a very useful tool.  After that reading messages in this forum and on the Internet, it is amazing to realize that (1) I'm not not the one disagreeably abnormal meanings, (2) that Chinese simplified Windows 7 has the same problem, and (3) that the other versions of Windows 7 have also the same problem.  Was this an oversight?  This will be resolved in a future Windows Update?  I certainly hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel.  Please notify.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience and your solution with us.  I tried your solution and it works!  Finally, after three years my computers can make Chinese handwriting recognition.

When I bought a laptop with Vista Ultimate x 64 more recently a desktop computer with Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 and three years ago, I can not get the application of Chinese writing.  Just like so many spectators of this forum I too can't get the icon to make the selection - just Japanese and Korean writing were available.  Now, both computers work properly.

BTW, I have experienced and learned that I have is useless to have the open c:\windows\syswow64\notepad.exe more.  I can, for example, start Outlook mail and write Chinese characters without Notepad running in background.

Thank you again for sharing your solution.

  • Lenovo T420 with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit - Windows Genuine validation failure

I have directly from Lenovo Lenovo T420 bought end of 2011 which began recently to show the message that its not running Genuine Windows.  He fails to pass the validation test.  He also stopped treatment of the Windows updates since December 15, 2014.  All fail with the error 800706F7.  I don't know if that is related to the failure of the validation.  I would like to get the Windows validation problem all solved first guess that they may be related.  Is attached a copy of the report full diag.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update: called Microsoft validation and validation of phone attempt to id software.  Has been informed by the agent that the product ID has been blocked by Lenovo.  Suggested I upgrade Windows, purchase a new license or call Lenovo.  Release with support from Lenovo and told me that they have no way to block a product code.  Suggested I try an upgrade of BIOS or reload the operating system.  Have you the BIOS upgrade result has not changed.  Also updated the driver Intel Rapid Storage, but again no change on the system.  Read messages where that fixed similar symptoms).  Latest report of diag is the same as that posted here. Operation of the system with the exception of the issue with the message on non-genuine software and updates of Windows does not not error code 800706F7.  Looking for more information.

Update: 2/29/2015 KB3004394 was not as installed on this system.  I ran a system scan and it shows the following missing components. There are several entries in the CBS for the latter.  I have included only the first two entries in the newspaper here.

    2015-02-26 14:44:51, CSI 00000031 [SR] (F) component not found error: Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP-Client, Version 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 = (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral [gle = 0 x 80004005]

Last update: after trying the suggested corrections that have failed, I did a complete system restore.  Too bad the updated Microsoft corrupted the system.  System is operating normally and is more pointed out the error of "Genuine Windows" and updates are being processed. Hello

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

According to the description of the problem, you can not install Windows updates and get a non-genuine mistake. As you have mentioned that this whole issue started since 15 December, so there might be a chance that some updates to move that could cause the problem.

The KB 3004394 which was dated December 10, 2014 update can cause additional problems on computers that run Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. This includes the inability to install future updates. This new update is available to remove KB 3004394 from your computer. Thus, there could be a chance that this update is installed on your computer that is causing the problem.

According to my research and findings that I got to know only after you have installed the Microsoft KB3004394 update that was released on December 10, 2014 and Microsoft has disabled since the relevant updates. Some systems also provided a Windows is "not authentic" error caused by the same update.

So try to remove this update of the updates installed, if it is installed and hide so that it can be installed in the future of its own. You can check the link below to complete the task.

    Remove an update

You can see the below mentioned steps to hide an update.

    1. Click on start.

    2. Now click on all programs.

    3. And then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

    4. Now, click on custom.

    5. Click to clear the check box next to the update KB3004394 .

    6. Expand the KB3004394 update you want to hide, and then click the checkbox "don't show me this update again".

    7. Click review and install updates.

For more information please refer to the suggestion of José Antonio answered the February 10, 2012.

How to hide / disable a priority update of Windows KB2633952 that already has an update on my computer?

    Additional information:

You can see the thread mentioned below for details on the error message and the resolution.

Get the error code Windows Update 800706f7

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Kind regards

  • Windows 7 Professional 64 bit product key cannot be used?

Well, I bought a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit and I try to update my PC after installing on the new PC to my father that I built for him. When I installed it on my gaming PC, everything was fine, but now I'm doing it on my work PC and it comes up saying that the key cannot be used on this computer! What! And yes the key that I use IS the one that came with my Windows software. It is NOT for the office, but for Windows 7! What is the PROBLEM! When I bought this copy of Windows I wanted to use it on several PC in our House. Product key should work whenever I use it! I paid for this thing, and the key is legitimate! And I won't go to the table more of 100 to 200 dollars for ANOTHER copy of windows just if I have a product key to be used; It's ridiculous!

you may not use the software on any other computer.

You agreed to the end user license agreement when you install. André has repeated the first part of the above agreement. Whether you like it or not, these are the conditions of the license. You cannot use the same key on multiple computers.
  • Majority of the graphics are missing from the HTML version: HR 10 [10.0.1.292] under Windows 7 Professional, SP1

    Hello world

I am really frustrated right now and am ready to throw HR by the window. I use HR 10 [10.0.1.292] under Windows 7 Professional with SP1 and 16 GB of RAM. There has been no major changes to my computer other than standards fixes/updates to date which are systematically pushed down for us to work. I have not installed new software.

I worked on the same project file for the last 6-9 months and more. I have not changed directories. I have not changed the file names. I have not changed computers. My construction of the 25 September 2015 (which was our most recent product version) looked and worked perfectly.

However, on January 8, 2016, I updated the date of our copyright made one or two other typo corrections made and then build a new one. Apparently, that's when everything goes haywire. MOST (but, curiously, not ALL) graphics in my chm file had been replaced by the symbol ' broken / lack of graphic link. Here's a sample:

    Missing Graphics.JPG

The really weird thing is that every graph, without exception, displayed correctly in its section related when I open the subject to change, as well as in Preview Mode! Yet when I create my project and display the final result, the graphics disappeared. And this isn't a case where all the images are missing or visible in any given topic - some graphics within any given topic are there while others are missing.

But wait - it gets even MORE bizarre. IF I:

    • Open each topic in my project;
    • Double-click on each graph to open the dialog box Image ;
    • Click OK to close the dialog box Image (he did NO CHANGE see you ;))
    • Save the subject;
    • Close the topic;
    • Once that all the subjects have been "updated" then generate my primary Layout, all THE IMAGES ARE like MAGIC!

I've done this TWICE. But the minute I close my project, go home for the day, open my project Sunrise the next day, make some changes more and then generate my main layout, I'm back to square one and most of my images were once more POOF! I simply cannot continue touching each chart every day! My project includes 535 topics and about 850 graphics - many are reused across so touching each of them is really out of the question.

I did several searches trying to find just a small idea of what is happening. I'm really at the end of my mind - I hope someone has an idea how to solve this problem - as I said, I'm ready to scream!

  • I use Windows 7 Professional, so why is Flash player always obsolete?

I get regular messages from Adobe, saying a new version of Flash Player is available, and I download & install, apparently with success each time.

However, you are using Mozilla Firefox (also fully updated), Flash Player is always a failure, with a message saying that he (Flash) is obsolete and a black sceen (or part of) appears instead a display provided through Flash.

How to uninstall Flash completely and then re - start, because I suspect it is a problem of 32-bit/64-bit.

    HI Maria,

Thank you... Yes, I use several browsers, with Firefox as first choice, but again I use Chrome and even Internet Explorer.   The other possible confounding factor is that we have a network of two PC from Dell, the two 64-bit Windows 7 Professional, which are usually on, and in addition we sometimers also connect an iPad or a small Samsung netbook running Windows 7 family (32 bit), so up to 4 devices almost identical IPS ranging from simple broadband via landline.  In special situations, the netbook is the only active PC.

I have located the two log files and am about to download.  I also added a picture to my profile and a brief 'bio', as I used to work for CSC to British Aerospace, with CICS, COBOL, & DL/1 on mainframe computers.

    I hope help log files.

    Terry
