Windows 7 RTM / Realtek HD Audio drivers not installed correctly.

I have a macbook pro, and I was told that I need to install the latest Realtek HD audio drivers, as the drivers included on the OSX cd are not good.

I downloaded both the executable installer for the drivers and the zip file, but regardless of how I approach it, after installation and reboot, I find myself with a little red cross on my audio down to the right icon, no noise, and after a quick diagnosis, I said that there is a problem with the Realtek driver.

Driver audio windows HD, which he comes back if I ask windows to "solve" the problem does not give me any sound on my speakers, no use of a microphone and is just horrible.

Why do I get the difficulties to get the drivers to work?

Hello WhoFly,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers Site.

You can check with the vendor for the AC 97 Audio Codecs for installation instructions or read readme file for installing the audio driver. You can also provide the model number of the audio chip on your motherboard to the vendor for more information on audio driver installation instructions.

I hope this information is useful.

Thank you, Mary

  • Satellite U205-S5002 - XP audio drivers not working not

    Hello.

I recently reformatted the laptop Toshiba Satellite U205-S5002 we gave me, since XP Home Edition, XP Professional.
For the life of me, I can't my audio drivers to work. I tried all the downloads on the site of Toshiba, as well as several was recommended to me by a professional.

Nothing worked, and many drivers do not install correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

    Hello

In my opinion, you tried to install a driver of his evil.
First of all, you should check to see if the device doesn t Manager contains any yellow exclamation and the unknown devices.
If there is an unknown device on a yellow exclamation and then a sound card driver may not be installed correctly.

The machine seems to be designed for the American market and you must use the Toshiba page for the driver download.

    Check this box:

By the way; I ve found a sound to turn off utility Mute after the upgrade to Vista. I know you use the XP but maybe it would be interesting to know if you could start this utility and check if the silent sound was not enabled.

    Same as above.

    Properties:

    As above.

Disabling or even uninstall these additional entries have no effect on the function of network printer.

BUT they continue to be replaced after the reboot.

This situation will affect the perfornce of the computer.

    Any suggestions, please?

    Advance thanks.

    Thanks for the great instructions.

Now I'm showing only a single instance of the printer asking for drivers multifunction adapter in Device Manager. Therefore, I uninstall and long and shows no return once again.

One thing FO, this printer is not actually a multifunction type.

The system is currently NOT error display or ask drivers.

I'm hopping it will stay like that.
