Windows 7 serial key problem
I read articles on Windows 7 installation and activation. I found the information that I can install Windows 7 on up to 3 PCs with the same serial number. I installed Windows 7 on the first machine and is activated. The problem is the second machine: I installed, but I could not activate with the same serial key and now the windows are not activated on the second computer. What is the solution?
A Windows 7 product key/license is for a SINGLE Installation.
If you have 3 machines, you must purchase 3 licenses/product keys Windows 7.
If you have 2 computers, you must purchase 2 licenses/Product Keys.
He had an offer to buy a pack of 3 upgrade Windows 7 Home Premium licenses for a discount, the offer has expired, but you need an eligible operating system to be installed to use the upgrade license.
See you soon.
I set up my laptop, but the key of Win 7 is not readable...
Is the key in restoring integrated image or do I have to indicate the same as a 'normal '?
Is the key integrated if I order the new DVD of restoration?
The recovery disk contains the image of Toshiba and this image Windows 7, drivers and other software. Windows 7 is already enabled and requires no serial key.
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 and I doubt, in everest, I can see the key of Windows Vista, but it's different to the Windows key in the tile to the bottom of the laptop.
I change anything in the laptop because I bought, I have use once the recovery cd, but I have not a pirate key or something like that.
Why this different key?

I agree with the user above.
The serial key you will find at the bottom of the device is not similar to the serial key that can be read using a few 3rd party applications!
But you don t need such series on your Toshiba laptop key.
The restore CD contains an image of Toshiba which is already activated!
I bought a license of Windows Vista with my Toshiba Satellite A300 computer laptop on July 2009, but the ticket where the serial key is printed under the laptop has been damaged by heat and it displays more information on the license or the serial key. Unfortenately I rebooted the computer on a new version of Vista that is demo lasts only 30 days. What I learned from some forums, miscrosoft team could get the authentic series keys with fees of $10, is it possible, and if it is how to do it?
"How to identify, find and replace a product key.
How to get a replacement product key
If the software is preinstalled on your computer, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a replacement product key (normally, they don't do that).
You can ask Toshiba to send you a set of recovery discs for your laptop model to reinstall the operating system to how it was when new.
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall the operating system back to the way in which you bought your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
With Toshiba, you press 0 (zero) at the start and follow the prompts. but install another operating system could destroy the recovery Partition.
None of these methods of resettlement requires normally allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

I had to replace the HDD on my L855-B511, I tried to create a recovery media to replace the HARD drive by using both DVD and USB sticks, but it didn't work because I think that the HARD disk has been corrupted.
There is no license sticker windows at the rear of the laptop or under the battery (only the windows logo 8), so I downloaded an app to retrieve the product key from the registry, but after reinstalling windows, I tried to turn it on, I discovered that the product key is not valid (tried the application on another machine and it gave me a product key different than that on the sticker).
is there a way I can reactivate windows without having to purchase a new license?
> is it possible I can reactivate windows without having to purchase a new license?
There is unfortunately no way to do it. In my opinion, your problem is clearly guaranteed service provider and the question should swap HARD drive for free. This model is fairly new, so I assume that the warranty is still valid. You could tell the guys to service this recovery media creation didn't work and ask if you can get a free recovery media.
If you want to fix on your path you must order the new recovery disc. This laptop model is available on the Middle East so I don't know if you can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx but you can check it out.
Hello. Well, a few years ago, I bought a PC with Windows 7. A update my operating system to Windows 8 Pro (original) last year. Two months ago I have upgraded to windows 8.1 Overview. My cons:-PC warranty expired three years ago. So I can't call the supplier for the series.-L' label with the serial number is the damage. I have only 4/5 of the key. I need the first five characters. My question is:-J' I retrieve my serial number of Windows 7, I'm having some trouble if I downgrade from Windows 8.1 Overview 7 8 and later?-Can I retrieve my serial number of my 4/5 of it?The reason is that I need to try a virtual Windows 7 machine in Virtual PC, but I need the series. My last question is: can I re-use my serial number on my VM?
If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.
If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.
If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.
New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...
For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device
For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device
For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device
For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward
For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo
For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.
For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...
For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power
Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"
Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".
You cannot use the license of Windows 7 on the COA sticker in a virtual machine if there is no host operating system or if the license is already in use.
I have Toshiba Portege R930-C086
my hard drive is broken, I lost all my data and the original windows 8
so I want to buy the new HDD, and I want to know how I got my windows 8 key back?
I don't want to buy the new windows 8.
Each laptop comes with preinstalled operating system also preinstalled recovery media Creator called tool. This tool can be used to create bootable recovery DVD or USB media. This recovery media can be used in case this recovery HARD drive installation procedure no longer works or if the HARD disk fails, as in your case.
I presume you didn't create this media, right?
Is that you can order the original recovery image but is not free.
More information, you can get the Toshiba service provider in your country.
I don't know if you can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx but please check.
Hi all, I have a Toshiba Satellite L775 11N and after upgrading to windows 10, the fn key is still active. I have to press fn key and the SPACE to make a place in the text. It's a big prob!
I already go to bios (no option for the fn key), update all drivers, nothing works.
Thanks for your help.
Generally in the BIOS, you can switch the Toshiba special function key mode ON and OFF.
Please check if you will be able to change this settings in the BIOS
Hi I have acer G3620 predator it is installed with windows 8, I might have to replace the hard drive, and the store I could buy a new hard drive says that there should be a sticker on my pc with the product key of windows 8, but I can't find it anywhere, how and where doi get one pls

Can I receive new key for win7 ultimate or I have to buy a new one?
You may need to buy a new one, see if you can get your Windows 7 key by using the following utility:
Hey, when using of media creation tool to download and make N 8.1 Windows Bootable on my 64 GB Kingston, USB 3.0, the process gets all the way to the end before failing and say "sorry, something happened and we could not finish creating the flash drive in the drive I got access denied." So my question is; Why won't it work?
Use the multimedia creation tool to download and save the .iso image file. Do not use it to make the USB. This prevents you wasting time downloading Windows 8.1 and then having to redownload as the tool does the USB incorrectly. Rufus makes the Bootable USB key. Its best to use a 8-32 GB USB flash drive and FAT32 format (64 GB will be truncated to 32 GB for FAT32).
If you install in the UEFI with SecureBoot (new Security Technologies - made systems in 2012 or later systems in 2010-2011 may also have the UEFI BIOS with the latest BIOS update but the settings must be enabled) use the "GPT partition for UEFI computer scheme." Be sure to format it in FAT32 or the USB Flash drive will not start.
If you install in a legacy systems BIOS for systems without a UEFI BIOS, then use the "partition MBR BIOS laptop scheme." Its also recommended to format the Flash drive to FAT32 but not necessary for a Legacy BIOS.
See here where I demonstrate the procedure:
I have windows 7 Professional prudect key,
Can I use the same key on 2 computers together?
No, you can't. A machine of a key. If you use two, one of them will be eventually blocked.

I read somewhere that the COA (certificate of authenticity) sticker is not attached to the machine more. Instead, it will be incorporated in the BIOS setting. So maybe it's even for me.
Now I want to make sure before reinstalling my windows 8 OS how my new installation of windows 8 get authenticated with serial key valid?
When I reinstall.
Require a Windows-8 serial key? If Yes, then where I will get it?
It will be automatically the system BIOS (shipped)? If yes then how to confirm that it is integrated into my system?
If two options above does not work for me so I have to do?
Can I get my windows serial key product ID 8?
My requirement is to double my machine bootable, so my other question is can I do this?
The key is not affected.
What edition of Windows 8 you want to reinstall?
If its Windows 8 Pro, just use add features to upgrade to it.
Press the Windows key + X
On Windows, click the link:
Get more features with a new edition of Windows
Click on the "I already have a product key link.
Enter your product key and you will be promoted to the Pro.
I have windows 7 Ultimate SP 1 and original liscense and serial for her key. I used a software (7TOKEN backup serial key MANAGER). But when I installed the new windows 7 Ultimate SP1 it will not work. I don't know how to activate my windows by using the same key. my laptop is same and OS version is even too
Thanks a lot in this regard.
Looking forward to your email
Your installation is not genuine.
You have a valid OEM_SLP key only for the installation of Windows 7 maker - your machine was manufactured before the release of Win7.
The key comes from an Alienware computer - your computer is a Toshiba.
You will need to reformat and rInstaller helps real media and key - you obviously used a recovery Alienware for this installation disc.
Is that the key you are trying to register end with TCVBD?
If Yes, then all of this is false.
