    Hi LarryBullington,

    ·         You did it of any material changes or software on the computer before this problem?

    ·         Exactly when you receive the error message?

The TrayApp.msi file is associated with the HP Photosmart Digital Imaging software.

If you receive a popup of the message, I suggest to uninstall the HP Photosmart Digital Imaging software and reinstall it back.

Note: You can download HP software applications from the web site of the customer; or if the software was supplied with the computer, you can reinstall using the HP application recovery process.

  • A network error occurred trying to read the file c: WINDOWS\Installer\iTunes.msi

I'm not able to go to iTunes or watch videos on my program Corel due to an error in Quick Time. It keeps telling me that I need to improve my Quick time and when I tried it wouldn't let me so I tried to remove it and couldn't because of an error and then I came here to get the Windows Cleanup utility and who eventually removed the program out of my control panel and I thought that would fix it but it didn't and now it gives me this message. What should I do now?

    Ok!
This problem occurs in all applications in all environments such as Windows XP, Amiga and Windows 7. I have only my current computer with Windows 7 64 bit related to the problem. After following suggestions to cure the problem without success, I read the error message that displayed the MSI being read in C:\Windows\Installer. There is no such MSI placed in this directory. SO to solve the problem, you must put some Apple msi installation which gives the error message in the C:\Windows\Installer directory. Just drag it directly into the directory. Do not use any subdirectory. If your don't have a copy of the MSI, you can extract it from the EXE installer with a program like WinRar. My problem was with iTunes to bleed the system looked like this C:\Windows\Installer\iTunes64.msi. Run the MSI file or the original from Apple download. It worked for me as expected if you give it a try.

  • Windows Installer turns on whenever I have start the machine, but could not be installed "TrayApp.msi" and ends up going forever.

I had removed several programs from my computer recently and should have removed a component that I shouldn't have.  When starting my computer, Windows Installer window lights up and starts trying to install "TrayApp.msi.  He cannot complete the it and the installation never ends.  This prevents me to install or to uninstall because it is running all the time.  I can't launch more restoration.  How can I disable Windows Installer or find what is simply this TrayAPP program.

If this is an HP computer, go to their website and download all the software for printing and imaging products you have.  See here:

I tried to install age of empire III on my computer windows 7, but I got an error until I had to even insert the key (ERROR 1603 consult windows help install (msi.chm) or MSDM for more information). I tried to enter in the files and run the setup.exe as an administrator, but it did not help.

Anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

AoE3 is fully compatible with Win7 and I had no problem at the facility, but it may not be compatible with

your graphics accelerator if it's an older 'integrated' graphics chip.

(This should show a different kind of error message, but sometimes Windows spits a seemingly unrelated error message.)

Try to post on AOE3 forums below. There may be someone who has had the problem with the installation of the game-

I do not have a disk of Windows 8, but will get one if necessary. Also, after checking the settings of the UEFI firmware twice, to check and put in on the "optimal settings", I don't seem to be able to do more. There is also no reliable computer here repair store in Batam, but I'll check in Singapore on Wednesday of this week, 2 days after this message.

  • TrayApp.msi missing

I recently replaced an older HP Photosmart printer with a Pro Officejet 8610.  Before you install the new printer, I went through the control panel and uninstalled all the HP software on my system.

Connected to the new printer and installed, it is software and everything works very well with regard to the printer; However, I get an error message when I boot by demanding that I re - install TrayApp.msi.

A bit of Googling suggests that this is related to some software (image/photo) that came with the old printer, if that's the case I don't have these disks, and that the software was supposedly completely removed.

I've seen solutions to get rid of this message that State re - install the software, but this isn't my current printer software so I don't want to do that.

I would like to know how completely remove some looking for this application, which I think is a... registry entry?

Any help greatly appreciated as the error message starting to get embarrassing now!

    Thank you.

    Hi Ged_B,

    Thank you for your answer!

Please use it, HP Officejet software and driver removal utility, instead of the L3, that it will not affect the new printing software at all.

Hope this helps you and have a great day!

  • The feature you are trying to use is on a network that is not available. Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder that contains the installation packagr 'TrayApp.msi'

    Original title: trayapp

When I open the computer message appears, the component you are trying to use is on a network that is not available. Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder that contains the installation packagr 'TrayApp.msi' in the box below.
    C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS5216\setup\TrayApp\
When I click ok the message this way that c:\users\user\appdata\local\temp\7zs5216\setup\trayapp\ is not found. Verfy that you have access to this location and try again or try to find the 'TrayApp.msi' in installing a package file from which you can install the product'TrayApp.
When I try to cancel the warning message, is that an installation package for the TrayApp product is not found. Again the installation again using a valid copy of the 'TrayApp of installation' package. I already uninstalled all HP products, but this message is still bothering me, how to solve this problem?

    Hey Tama,

-What version of windows is installed on the computer?
-Have there been recent changes to the computer before the show?
I recommend you go through the next HP document and check if it helps.
    Hope this information is useful.
  • C:\Windows\Installer\Messenger.msi

How to overcome the error msg? I am conflict with hr:0 x 80070643 - Windows XP

    Dear Frank-

I found the site below and thought of your situation.  Here is the message I received:

    -------
"Network error occurred trying to read the file:
    C:\\windows/Installer/Messenger.msi

Please close all other open programs, and then try again.  It looks like a another program prevents the installer from working. HR.0x80070643 ".
    -------

If it's the same message and you have not yet found a solution, this will do the trick.  Even if this is an old post, it works very well for current 14.0.8117.416 Messenger update problem:

    http://www.PCAdvisor.co.uk/forums/index.cfm?action=showthread&ThreadId=346865&forumid=1

Scroll all to halfway to the bottom of the page.  Search for Microsoft Customer Support (Joan, Technical Support, Live Essentials):

Note: For the Windows Installer Cleanup utility, I downloaded from this link (you'll want the latest version whenever you get - 2.5.0.1):

    http://www.Softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Installer-Cleanup-utility-download-18442.html

After all the time that I spent looking for a solution, it took 10 minutes to solve.  I hope it works for you as well.  Please pass on.  Thank you.  Deb
