  • How many computers can I install windows 7 ultimate full on

I want to get windows 7 and have 3 computers I can put it on all three or an i will have to pay over a grand.

You must purchase a license for each computer. If they have a system called Windows installed, you can buy the upgrade for a lower price. If you want to purchase the full version of Ultimate then Yes, it would be about $1,000 for all three computers.

  • change the product key on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit full

Let's make has a history very very short.  Earlier this year, I bought 4 copies of Windows 7 Ultimate full 64-bit for internet and loaded mrechant on 4 machines (3 upgrades from Vista and 1 new installation) without a hitch.  The software was perfect for a few months until recently Microsoft me notified that the software was not "authentic".  Apparently this software was not allowed to sell in the USA.

In any case, if I buy a new genuine Windows 7 Ultimate Full 64-bit version, can't I just change the product key to solve this problem?  I know I need to ultimately get 4 copies.

    Thanks in advance!

  • General information about licensing of the "Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Version full (PC DVD)"

    Hello

I've never had to buy a Windows DVD facility before so my questions may seem a bit Basic.

I intend to buy a copy of 'Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate', full Version (PC DVD) from Amazon. (I think I should be clear of a counterfeit product, if I buy direct from Amazon).

Am I right in thinking that if I buy this product so I can install it on several PC as long as I have installed it on more than one PC at a time?

Really I intend to install first to my current PC, familiarize yourself with Windows 7 and then, finally, just abandon my old PC, buy a new and then install Windows 7 on this new PC. Is it possible for me to do it without breaking the terms of licenses for this product?

Finally, (assuming I have reason to think that it is normal to do so) is there something I should do that I could not be aware of the transfer Windows 7 from my old PC to a new? I think I mean it's OK to me to erase the hard drive from the old PC before binning - and which supports Windows 7, having already been installed on this PC?

  • Change Partitions and install Windows 7 Ultimate

I have 2 GB of ram & when I bought my Sony laptop, I got Best Buy Geek Squad partition my 150 GB C:\ drive to have a G:\ and H:\ drive partitions. I want to remove or delete partitions G:\ & H:\ and C:\ use all of the 150 GB less space reserved for shadow copies of backup.  Disk Mgr, I cannot extend the C:\.volume. After I develop C:\ I want to upgrade Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate, or install a full version of Windows 7 Ultimate, regardless of the method will work best... All my data is backed up & I have all my DVD software if I have to reinstall all my programs.  What is the simplest and most accurate procedure to implement these two changes? Aka VDS disk management won't allow C:\ to extend its volume in the free space of 50 GB. For some reason, backups of photos take almost all C:\ 100 GB with free space only 1.45 even after I have remove all except the most recent backup.  I am very frustrated and if I knew how, I would go in the BACK, rub everything and load Windows 7 Ultimate full version and start all over again, but I don't know enough to know if it will work.  I appreciate your instructions... Thank you.

Since you have backups of your user files and your programs can be installed again, the simplest method is the one that is most likely to lead to a stable system of Windows 7 for long distances. Boot from the Windows 7 DVD. Use the facilities on the DVD to remove all the present partitions. Next, install a new Windows 7 system hard disk. Once completed the installation stage, let the system updated with all the security and update other Microsoft offerings. Then, install your programs, and copy backup your user files.
It is also possible to boot from the Windows 7 DVD and use its facilities to remove G and H. Then you can develop C to fill up the drive and install Windows 7 on C.
There are tutorials on Details he to do that and other options on the web.

  • Do I have to re install Windows 7 Ultimate Retail Version over the current version of Windows 7 Ultimate OEM "Trial"?

I have an old PC which worked fine with Windows XP on it. I wanted to continue to consider using it with Windows 7 (instead of buying a new machine).

So my friend gave me a copy of the version of Windows 7 Ultimate (OEM) to try to see if the machine was worth keeping (i.e. good performance with my critical apps loaded on this subject).  Using this version, I was able to switch from Windows XP to Windows 7 using a clean installation. I have re-installed critical applications to check performance with the new operating system.  I was impressed (and happy) so I decided to purchase a licensed copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. I finally found a great offer and bought a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (Full/Retail - not OEM) with the required activation key via the Internet (to be delivered next week).

My question is: since I now have the version of Windows 7 Ultimate (OEM) already installed on my machine, I will have to perform another clean installation when my Windows 7 Ultimate retail version coming? I would really not all over again. I would like to simply enter the Activation Code of the version of Windows 7 Ultimate (Full-detail) when it arrives. What is the best way to reach my goal?

  • I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit (Home Premium update) and I want to re - install Windows but in 64-bit. Will I still have Ultimate

I have a Toshiba with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit (Home Premium update) and I want to re - install Windows but in 64-bit. Will I still have Ultimate?

I'm going to re - install from 32 to 64-bit via the loader of windows recovery.
This computer has asked ma to install 32 or 64 bit when I first turned on, I chose 32, but now I want to 64.

It depends on. Is the license of Windows 7 Ultimate, a full version license or upgrade, or upgrade Express?

If its an Express upgrade license, you will need to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, then make the Express Windows 7 upgrade Ultimate edition using the Express upgrade key, you have.

If you have a Windows 7 Ultimate full retail or upgrade version license, you can simply by using the 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate disc and do a custom Setup on the current installation of 32-bit.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/07/using-Windows-easy-transfer-in-Windows-7/

Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • No product key for Windows 7 Ultimate on laptop second hand. Windows 8 not compatible. What are the options?

A friend of mine bought a computer with Windows 7 Ultimate laptop second hand on it and it has not been activated, and it is not a product key (even the old one is worn and unreadable). It was originally a XP system and it cannot be upgraded to Windows 8 because it is not compatible. Is it possible that he could buy a product key so that it is activated and genuine? I don't want him to enter in some affliction, and I feel partly responsible because I was the one who told him to do and was not with him to look over the first! I feel really bad, because it doesn't have a lot of money and I should have been there when it was sold. I have a Windows 7 professional full version box, but I really need for my own system. Are there any alternatives? Please give me some GOOD news because I feel really rotten over this. ) :

    Thank you

    BAT

The only alternative would be to buy a license Windows 7 Ultimate full version or a version complete edition cheaper such as Windows 7 Edition Home Premium and make a custom installation:

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate

Apart from that, the only other option would be to contact the computer manufacturer for a Windows XP Recovery disk. Which I doubt they still provide.

When my phone was broken, one of my friends that he fixed and did not know that it has installed Windows 7 Ultimate in there which is not legitimate. Originally, Windows Vista Home Premium has been installed in it. I want to go back to Windows Vista and I have a drive to install Windows Vista Edition full and wanted to install it without losing my files. How can I do?

    Hello

    It's not a downgrade.

Unless you have a windows.old folder, you cannot reinstall Vista without losing your files and programs.

You will need to do a clean install.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

You can use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.
