Windows 7 user account access

I have several clients Windows 7 Professional in a workgroup setting that all have the same user name and password.

All except one s PC can access the shares on each PC in the working group. I deleted the user account and recreated using the exactly the same name and password but when I try to access one of the actions of the problematic PC I get the message "you are not allowed to. access\\NetworPC\Share. Contact your network administrator to request access.

I have tried everything I know, but can not resovle the question and do not want to rebuild the PC so avoidable. I need expertise help, can you please let me know your thoughts?

Wasim A, thank you for your contributions to my question. They were all excellent advice for troubleshooting, but none of them were the answer to my problem.

I have by dumb luck after nearly a day researching the issue expenses came across a forum post which corresponded to my problem and it is resolved.

If you are in the same homegroup with another PC, you cannot connect to the share folder (not the folder sharing homegroup) that windows creates another connection (see net use). When I feuillé homegroup, I can connect to the shared folder as I wanted.

The post that I found the credit is linked here: http://www.sevenforums.com/network-sharing/145910-you-do-not-have-permission-access-contact-your-network-admin.html

Thank you very much for your reply, I hope this helps someone else if they encounter the same problem.

    Hi Colin Davis,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Forums.
    1. try performing clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796
    2. check if you have the same problem in safe mode
    3. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, click Accessories, right-click command prompt, and then click Run as administrator, and in the command prompt, type sfc/scannow. Restart the computer and check.

  • Different professional in Windows XP user accounts

In Windows XP Professional, what is the logic behind allowing holders of 'Power Users' accounts (except, well sure, administrators) to run some Legacy Applications while people with accounts accounts & comments ordinary user can not run the same?

What are the typical work scenarios where:

    (1) should only have built in Administrator account
    (2) the need to create user accounts administrator & Power
    (3) the need to create the user accounts for plain a lot (maybe except the administrator account)
    (4) to activate the guest account?

'Administrators', 'Power Users' and 'Users' are nothing more than the groups that individual users can become members.  By default, each of these groups is given certain privileges.  'Users' have the least privileges, "Power Users" have more privilege, and "Administrators" have the highest privileges.   'Guest' is simply a user specialized controlling less than any other user.  There is also the built-in "Administrator" user cannot be deleted, which by default is a member of the "Administrators" group

A person who needs to use programs like Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer pre-installed would probably just privilege 'user '.  Power users can change some system settings that can not users and administrators can change the privileges to access the file and add/remove other users on the computer but also install applications.

A set of privileges is predefined in Windows, but can be changed by an administrator.  Read the following article for a description of which users have what default rights:

    "User rights".

  • Why do some executable programs require Windows Vista user account control to start, while others do not?

For example, Iobit Advanced System Care 6 requires user account control to start, while none of the programs Microsoft Office requires user account control to start, but they are all executables (*.exe).  Why?

EXE files may have a small text file embedded in them that controls this behavior (and other). A file called programname.manifest in the same folder can do it too, but one stand-alone exe substitute manifests (vista and later).

Here is one that requires the Admin run and also uses 6 worm of the common controls.

  • 09/17/10 update to messed up Vista user account access

The last batch of Windows updates (9/17-9/24/10) me locked out of my user and administrator accounts - I choose the user account and password and the system says that it cannot find the System Event Center and hangs up.  I turned off the computer entered Safe Mode and use system restore to go back before the update, and the problem is solved.

How can I get new updates to load without loading the bad update which is mess up my computer? And or isolate the bad update a huge hassle?

    Hello

    ·        What are the updates that you have installed on the computer once you have met the question (number of KB updates)?

Click on the below link to check what are the updates must be installed on the system and manually install the updates one after you download it from the Microsoft Web site. In other words instead of automatic updates, I suggest to download the updates manually from the Microsoft site and then reinstall one by one and check what update is causing this issue and let us know the number of KB.

  • The Windows 7 user account control settings does not open

    Hello

Someone knows a problem where a computer launches the application "change user account control settings?  We are dev work on multiple PCs and need to disable this feature.  Normally, I would run the UAC and just drag the bar down, but I can't even the application to load.  I even tried running: C:\Windows\System32\userAccountControlSetings.exe and it does nothing.

    Thank you
    Sean

Well, I was not able to understand why the window UAC doesn't appear, however, I managed to disable UAC via the local policy settings.  For reference purposes:

    1. Start > run > gpedit.msc
    2. Computer configuration > Windows settings > security settings > local policies > Security Options
    3. Then define:
    4. User account control: behavior of the guest of elevation for administrators in Admin Approval Mode – set its value toElevate without asking for confirmation.
    5. User account control: detect application installations and prompt for elevation - set its value todisabled.
    6. User account control: only elevate the UIAccess applications that are installed in secure locations - set its value todisabled.
    7. User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode - set its value todisabled.

  • Single AD on Windows 7 and Windows XP user account

    Hello

I am currently studying for my office. We have an obligation to provide a Windows XP machine to a user for use with a custom application; they were asked to use their existing user account, they use for Windows 7 on XP "kiosk" machine they will use on an ad hoc basis.

Are there any known issues that occur when you connect to a Windows XP-based computer by using the same user account that is used for Windows 7? The machines and the account are in the same Active Directory.

  • How to remove a Microsoft Windows 7 user account

    Hello

I accidentally finished with two accounts for Microsoft users. This only causes me no problems end. I want to delete the old one - because the news is on all my other devices.

I saw you have instructions on how to do this in Windows 8.  But I'm on Windows 7. How can I remove the old Microsoft user account in Windows 7?

    Thank you

    Diana

In fact, I solved my problem. But I would like someone helped me. I was about that AGE. But just in case someone else has the same problem (IE two WindowsLiveID or Microsoft accounts) you go to OneDrive (SkyDrive), log in, go to settings, until at the bottom there is an option to delete your account. I thank God for it.

  • In Windows 7 user account control

    Hello

I have a PC with Windows 7. I downloaded Magellan Content Manager to manage my new GPS Magellan, but whenever I double-click on the program to execute, User Account Control stands up and says: 'do you want to allow the following program... '. ». Is it possible to get the account control user to recognize that I have confidence in the program? I have a number of programs that I downloaded from the Internet and it is not disputed any of them except this one. Any suggestions?

First of all, is your account of usual user "Administrator" or "Standard user"?  Go to control panel > user accounts for know.

Even if your account is an account 'Administrator', Windows 7, local administrator accounts run as a standard user except when specifically authorized to do otherwise.  In other words, if you have not made any changes to the system setting, when you try to do something that requires administrator privileges, you will get a UAC prompt.  The difference is that if already logged in as a local administrator, the prompt will ask just for your authorization, like this:

However, if you are logged as long as standard user, you will be presented with a list of accounts local administrator on the computer and an application to enter a password for one of them, like this:

Because you get the UAC prompt when you try to Start the program, the question is not what the program could eventually do after it is started (for example, try to save files in system folders), but that the program be appointed - by the code in the program itself - as an "administrator task", i.e., a task that could potentially accomplish administratove missions.  Most applications that are referred to thus show a security shield on the shortcut for the task icon...  I guess the shortcut of the content for your Magellan Manager has a shield, like this:

I have not tried the following, myself, but this tutorial is intended to be a way to perform a task that normally should be 'high' without causing the UAC prompt to appear, but only if logged in as a local administrator, not a standard user--> http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11949-elevated-program-shortcut-without-uac-prompt-create.html

  • Problem with Windows Vista user account management

When you go to user accounts in Control Panel, I automatically get up my account but when I click on 'manage other accounts' and continue, I get a screen saying click account you want to manage but no icons or accounts don't appear in the box below?

If I click on 'create new account' it does not work either, I was able to create accounts by going to the parental controls and after the link, but I can't seem to delete user accounts. I am running Vista Home Premium.

    Any ideas appreciated?

I recommend you to check your admin rights.
Eventually you cannot delete user accounts and cannot change anything because of a bad rights.
