New Windows Vista user account access

I'm running a new Dell with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium and have had no problems of access to our wireless internet access. I created a new user account (not asked) the other day, but for some weird reason, I can't access our wireless thanks to the new account.
The computer recognizes the wireless signal, but there seems to be a connection problem. How can I get the internet to work on the new user account?
And just in case where, I know absolutely nothing about computers. We are talking about computers for the tips zero here, please.

Thanks for the quick response, the lot.

I've followed all the steps and was still scratching my head, but an error message popped up while I was in the new account, saying: there was an adapter error. I have a D - Link USB wireless network card thingamijiggy, so I took and plugged into the computer.
He then asked me to confirm my password to access the wireless - perfect internet connection account, no worries.

Bravo again.

    Hello

    ·        What are the updates that you have installed on the computer once you have met the question (number of KB updates)?

Click on the below link to check what are the updates must be installed on the system and manually install the updates one after you download it from the Microsoft Web site. In other words instead of automatic updates, I suggest to download the updates manually from the Microsoft site and then reinstall one by one and check what update is causing this issue and let us know the number of KB.

  • Problem with Windows Vista user account management

When you go to user accounts in Control Panel, I automatically get up my account but when I click on 'manage other accounts' and continue, I get a screen saying click account you want to manage but no icons or accounts don't appear in the box below?

If I click on 'create new account' it does not work either, I was able to create accounts by going to the parental controls and after the link, but I can't seem to delete user accounts. I am running Vista Home Premium.

    Any ideas appreciated?

I recommend you to check your admin rights.
Eventually you cannot delete user accounts and cannot change anything because of a bad rights.

  • Why do some executable programs require Windows Vista user account control to start, while others do not?

For example, Iobit Advanced System Care 6 requires user account control to start, while none of the programs Microsoft Office requires user account control to start, but they are all executables (*.exe).  Why?

EXE files may have a small text file embedded in them that controls this behavior (and other). A file called programname.manifest in the same folder can do it too, but one stand-alone exe substitute manifests (vista and later).

Here is one that requires the Admin run and also uses 6 worm of the common controls.

  • Windows 7 user account access

I have several clients Windows 7 Professional in a workgroup setting that all have the same user name and password.

All except one s PC can access the shares on each PC in the working group. I deleted the user account and recreated using the exactly the same name and password but when I try to access one of the actions of the problematic PC I get the message "you are not allowed to. access\\NetworPC\Share. Contact your network administrator to request access.

I have tried everything I know, but can not resovle the question and do not want to rebuild the PC so avoidable. I need expertise help, can you please let me know your thoughts?

Wasim A, thank you for your contributions to my question. They were all excellent advice for troubleshooting, but none of them were the answer to my problem.

I have by dumb luck after nearly a day researching the issue expenses came across a forum post which corresponded to my problem and it is resolved.

If you are in the same homegroup with another PC, you cannot connect to the share folder (not the folder sharing homegroup) that windows creates another connection (see net use). When I feuillé homegroup, I can connect to the shared folder as I wanted.

  • Lookout 6.5 cannot create new Windows 7 user accounts

    Hello

I use Lookout 6.5 (Build 49153) on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer. I also installed it on my development machine that is also running Windows 7 64 bit. On both machines I can't create new accounts of users at Lookout. I get an error that says:

Add user operation failed. Check the system drive disk space.

There are a lot of free space on the hard disk, so this isn't the problem. I am connected to Lookout and Windows administrator is connected under the administrator account. I'm guessing that there may be a security issue with Windows 7. I tried to adjust UAC in Windows disabled, but it did not help.

I can't add a password for the default Administrator account to Lookout. I get the following error:

Could not change the properties of that user.

I really need to solve this problem as soon as POSSIBLE because operators are required to use the Administrator without password account to make the system work, so that they have way more rights that they need and can enter edit mode and really cause some damage. Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Thank you

Try to run the lookout in XP compatibility mode. Right-click on lookout.exe and open its property, it is on the Compatibility tab.

How were you completely delete a / profile under vista user account?

I have a virus on a different user profile, and I just want to remove this profile.

    (ON VISTA)

    Hello

How to remove a Vista user account - even if you do this, you should check as well
    for malware.
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/93026-user-account-delete.html

Even if you do not see the virus on your other profiles, it might be in areas that will subsequently
cause problems in the other profiles. It would be preferable to eliminate malware from the machine
that can be done without using the profile infected from an ADMIN account.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as
    the cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run

  • What is the purpose of the 'neighbourhood' of printing file in each folder Windows Vista user?

It does not printers or links to all printers, even if 7 printers are installed on the computer.

    Hi Casey,.

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community Forums.

Based on the information, you try to find the object of the 'Neighbourhood of print' file in the folder of Windows Vista users.

'Neighbourhood' of printing stores the path to the folder containing shortcuts to printers that you have added to the computer.

These files are called a junction. Junctions work as shortcuts, but in the case of Vista look like standard folders with an arrow. A junction is intended to reorient the programs that access to their to their equivalent of Windows Vista. Since junctions aren't really folders, it is not possible to access, and any attempt to do so will give an "Access denied" error.

    C:\Users\$user$(User Name) \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Printer shortcuts.

    Hope the helps of information.
