Windows 8.1 slow wi fi - RT5390R bgn ralink WiFi adapter
Hello. This problem started when I updated for windows 8.1 on my home office (which connects via wifi). It came with windows 8, but then I've updated in March for windows 8.1 after learning that wifi controllers have been updated. Since then, I had problems with the wireless network (problem comes and goes, but is unstable hightly).
The most common problems I see is: slow network, very few reliable HTTP traffic (web pages does not display ok, does not load images or does not even load the web page, rror 404), sometimes it doesn't connect to my WIFI at home, 802.11n, as its configuration for authetication type WPA2-PSK.
Note that if I connect using cable, it works well. Also, I find that if I connect to an unsecured network, 802. 11B it works fine. Another aspect to note is that whenever I see the problem (every 5 minutes), I usually run the ipconfig/flushdns and seems that he * temporarily * solves the problem, but then it happens again.
In addition, the driver is supposed to be updated, I first tried one that has been recommended to HP, but since it has not solved the problem, I downloaded a newer version of the Ralink site, is dated April 4, 2014.
This, of course, didn't happen before the update (I've updated in November, but has also broken the wi fi and after a problem, I decided to go back to windows 8 and worked normally) and also, I have a lot of devices that connect ok to the network (laptop computer, mobile phones, tablet, even a smart tv).
I'm a guy experienced when it comes to problems with my desktop computer, but it's very strange and I blame windows 8.1!
Does anyone have another suggestion?
Something will help you. Thank you.
The solution of "update drivers" failed. Also the "allow the computer to turn off device" did not work. The only thing that worked for me, it was implemented on the IPv4 settings manual DNS servers.
After heavy, found research 8.1 windows handles DNS in different settings (why? hell I don't know), so I stumbled upon the following article http://adamralph.com/2014/01/24/continuously-losing-internet-connectivity-in-windows-8-1 , but did not fix. So, after banging my head against the wall, I decided to use my own ISP dns servers IP s and voila... it worked, after 4 months that I initially installed windows 8.1.

Windows 7 ultimate slow start?

My portable ultimate windows 7 is slow to start. About 5 minutes. 2 minutes on "Starting windows" and 1 minute from "Welcome". Help, please! People tell me I have to reinstall windows, but I lose something? I don't know what to do!
My personal opinion is that the attention that many people pay for how long it takes to start is not justified. Assuming that the speed of the computer is otherwise satisfactory, it is generally not worry. Most people start their computer once a day or even less frequently. In the overall scheme of things, even a few minutes at the start is not very important. Personally I power my computer when I get up in the morning, then go get my coffee. When I come back, he did start. I don't know how long it took to start and I do not. However, if you don't want to solve it, maybe it's because this programs to start automatically, and you can stop some of them to start this way. On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its Options to see if she has the choice to not start (make sure that you actually choose to not run, not simply a "don't display the icon" option). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If this does not work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line and on the Startup tab, uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.
However, if I were you, I wouldn't do this just for the purpose of the minimum number of running programs. Despite what a lot of people tell you, you should be concerned, not with the way * a lot * of these programs you run, but * that *. Some of them can seriously affect the performance, but others have no effect on performance.Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do is to determine what each program is that its value is for you and what the performance cost is running all the time. You can get more information on the latter with research on the internet and ask questions about the details here.
Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

photos in windows 7 are slow to become populated, can you help me
photos in my windows 7 are slow to become populated ar appear not all al. I explore 9. changing size does not help
Hi William,.
- Exactly how you try to view pictures? It is through a Web site or it is saved locally on your computer?
- Are you facing problems of visualization of photos online? If Yes, is it limited to a Web site?
- What web browser specific problem?
If you are facing problems with images online, then try the instructions below:
Sometimes a Web site you visit doesn't look like you expect it. Images may not appear, menus may be out of place, and text boxes may be blurred together. This can be caused by a compatibility issue between Windows Internet Explorer and the site that you are. When a site is not compatible with Internet Explorer, you'll see the compatibility view button in the address bar.
Use compatibility mode in Internet Explorer ExplorerInternet 9

Windows store is slow to load.
Store Windows is very slow on all my computers in Windows 8.
I have a desktop computer and 2 tablets. I use them on different wired networks and wireless. All devices are slow when I open the store. The first page is slow, apps download is slow, update apps is slow.
I use these devices to launch Internet Explorer and other browsers, and it works very quickly. There is no problem with the internet speed.
Hey Derek,
The question can be generated if Windows Store Cache is often not removed.
(1) remember you to make changes to the computer before this problem?
(2) which are used to connect, Microsoft or Local account?
Follow the steps:
Method 1:
The WSReset.exe is a tool that resets the store Windows without changing account settings or remove installed apps.
(a) press"Windows+R"key on the keyboard to open the run window.
(b) in the run window, type "wsreset. exe"and click ok it will clear all hide all Windows store."Method 2:
Make sure that the date and time are correct on the computer.
(a) check the Date/time setting by selecting the tile office and then left click on the time in the corner.
(b) click on change date and time. And then check that the time zone is correct and the time of the internet tab has the ability to synchronize with the time server Internet.
Also, click on the link and refer to the statement to execute convenience store Apps.

Pavilion G6: Wifi adapter upgrade Windows 10 questions
I tried seriously to all solutions possible and still nothing. Not only the solution that has been proposed to this topic on the forum like many others in other Web sites, as in the windows and mediatek/ralink and same forum forum on youtube and still nothing, I can't really solve this problem and I'm trying to ruin out of range of patience...
I'll probably go back to 8.1 Windows because all solutions have failed...
If someone knows a solution diferent/news please reply!
My PC is a HP Pavilion G6
My Wi - Fi adapter is a Ralink RT3290 802, and pilots are already updated.
Kind regards.
Hello:
Since I know not what you have tried, or one of the hundreds of books of g6 model you have (if they extend over several years), the only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W10 Ralink WLAN driver.

Microsoft Windows 10 64

If the driver above does not work, the most likely problem is the hardware revision RT3090 of the card you have is probably too old to run W10.
Only the last model rt3090 made in the last two years will take place W10.

Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi - Fi adapter abandons the connection randomly
Hi, I have a HP Pavilion 500 t - Win 7 with a Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi - Fi adapter.
I'm getting random interrupted internet connectivity.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Thank you!
You are the very welcome.
That the method of searching for updated drivers is only as good as if/when the hardware manufacturer pushes an update of the driver on the Windows Update site.
Most of the time you will have to manually search for updated drivers.
Usually you can find them as I did for the card wireless in your model.
But the line at the bottom is, let's hope the driver to day made a difference.

HP15-ac047tu (M9V07PA): Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn M.2 WiFi adapter
Hello
I bought this laptop about 3 months back and recently I found that this WiFi adapter does not connect to the wi - fi 5 GHz network.
Is this a problem with the card itself as in - is this adapter capable of receiving wi - fi 5 GHz connection and if so, is there a problem with my laptop?
Thank you
Mshetye
Hello:
There is nothing wrong with your laptop or wireless card.
This model of card is a single 2.4 GHz single band card.
Tip: once you see a card with a suffix of bgn, this means that it is a single band card.
Dual-band cards have a suffix abgn or agn.
Unfortunately, it seems that it is very difficult to replace the card wireless in your template, or I would have recommended to replace the card with a model dual band which has bluetooth.
In addition, do the work yourself would void the warranty according to the manual on the section of your laptop user guides.
