  If you receive your TV signal through a set-top box and Media Center is unable to change the channel, or it changes channels incorrectly, check the following:

  ·        The infrared diffuser is connected to your remote control receiver. If the infrared diffuser is not connected, Media Center cannot send a signal to the set-top box to change a channel.

  ·        The infrared diffuser is well positioned at the front of the set - top box. If you are having trouble placing the IR blaster on the set - top box correctly, try to use a flashlight to locate the signal on the set - top box receiver.

  ·        IR control codes are configured correctly. If constantly changing channels, control IR codes may not have been configured correctly during the installation of TV signal. To reconfigure your TV signal, on the Windows Media Center start screen, highlight toTasks, clickSettings, click on TV, then clickSet up the TV Signal.

  • Center cannot send a signal to the set-top box to change a channel.

  I have recently upgraded to Windows 7. Installed control center of the brothers 3 for my MFC 7820N. It prints well, but has recently started having error message when I try to scan - MFC not found (CC3-202 - 03031 b 02).

  I tried to play with the styling of the program and unlocked it firewall, even installed the updates - still no luck.

  I have upgraded to Windows 8. It seems to work normally, except there is a brightness adjustment in the top left corner of my computer screen and it won't go away.   Just an update of my efforts on this issue.

  I revisited the audio registry settings SoundMAX for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ \0005\Settings {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. These are installed when you install the driver for SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio. Changing these settings has already failed to get an increase of output audio volume. I have now found some settings of the value of these registry keys that have given me a satisfactory increase in the volume of the audio. In short, the cure for my situation was:

  The file source (wdm3516b_Cadenza.exe) driver available from the Download Center Intel is a self-extracting ZIP file. Unzip this file to a location convenient temporary store (C:\Temp)

  Use regedit to check that changes in the edited file driver INF appeared in the area of the Windows registry - in my case, it is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} \0005\Settings.

  I will emphasize that it is NOT a recommended fix - it turns out that it worked for me.
