Windows 8 in my old notebook (Probook s 4530)

My laptop model is HP Probook 4530 s. It came without any OS. This model is compitable with Windows 8 and drivers are there in the support page. Now, my question is - can I OEM Windows 8 at HP?

Hello:

HP will not have a W8 OEM OS for your laptop, because it did not come with the W8.

If you want a version OEM of W8 and you live in the United States, you can get it on the link below for a reasonable cost, or you can buy directly from Microsoft.

My notebook, ProBook 450 G2 goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.  I had a technician Microsoft verifiez_ the. I also had HP tech check the. They both said that it was a hardware problem. I sent it to HP to fix it and they replaced the motherboard and said that they have tested. When I came back, it entered into mode 'sleep' again. I left my laptop for about 15 minutes and when I came back it was in mode 'sleep'. This always occurs after the laptop remained for about 15 minutes.

    Does anyone have a solution?

I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!

  • reuse the license of Windows XP from the old office to the new office

We have 4 old desktop computers with windows xp I want to reuse the license of Windows XP from the old office to the new office

I bought a HP desktop computer and dell preinstalled with Windows XP. The office has not worked for a few years, he has the processor are P4 and slow work.

I recently bought a desktop computer and wanted to know can I use the same license key to get Windows XP installed on my new desktop computer.

Note: I have lost my original installation of windows CD but have the office and Windows XP product code is available to me.

The old HP desktop and dell came with a license with the sticker on the side.

Any PC which came with a sticker with a key to activate product on it has a license that is related to this PC (and only this PC) for ever. It is not legal to install on a PC using the key videos from another PC.

If the PC you want to install XP on still has its sticker, then as much as you have a compatible installation XP CD, XP can be re-installed using the key on the sticker.

Only commercial versions of XP can be moved from one PC to another. With the commercial versions, the activation key came with the media, not on a label stuck on the PC.

  • After installing Windows 7, linking my old drive with Windows XP on it will let see me all the data in the drive?

I install Windows 7 on a new drive. My old drive is Windows XP and all my old data.

IF I had to unplugging the old drive and install Windows 7 on the new drive and then plug the old drive and restart Windows 7 with the old drive as a slave, windows see the old drive as a second drive and view all data on this drive?

Yes, it will be. The old man will be the slave and you can copy your files and settings to your new Windows 7 install on the new drive.

It will not move programs, though. They would need to be reinstalled.

I just loaded windows XP on my old tower. I have an ethernet cable connected to my modem, but I can't establish an internet connection.

You are welcome for the answer. You will need to use a cd/dvd drive or a removable media like a flash/USB device to transfer the file on the computer in question. You can download the LOM Broadcom 10/100 Ethernet controller driver from HERE.

  • Win 7 install for old notebook

I just upgraded from XP to windows 7 for an old laptop of HP model ze4325us. Now, I have no audio and the drivers I can get support will not work in any compatibility mode. The same problem exists with the ethernet port. These are the messages I get from Windows Action Center:

Your sound card has stopped working properly because a compatible driver is not available for this version of Windows.

The name of the model of your sound card is Conexant AC-Link Audio, CPT2990.

DP83816 MacPhyter3v 10/100 PCI network card is not compatible with this version of Windows.

To search for more devices that are compatible with your version of Windows:

    Can anyone offer a solution?

    Thank you

    Karl

    Hi, Karl:

Try to manually install the audio driver XP support for your laptop and driver as follows page...

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-10516-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=228&product=308113&sw_lang=

Download and run the file.  Conclusion of any windows error.

Go to Device Manager and click on the multimedia audio controller needing drivers.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software method and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp23455.  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

If not, select Let pick me from a list of device drivers on my computer option at the bottom of her browse my computer for driver software window and drill up to C:\SWSetup\sp23455\hpa0850 and select the Conexant AC-Link Audio device from the list and see if the pilot goes like this.

Try the same approach for the ethernet card.

Try the same approach for the graphics too because I doubt the graphics work correctly either.

If this does not work, I'm afraid you're out of luck.

This laptop is too old to run W7 successfully.

Can I use the product windows XP from my old CPU key to downgrade my new processor from Vista to XP?

N ° decommissioning requires installation of XP from an XP installation cd and a retail product key.  If XP is preinstalled on the old computer, the product key on the label is valid for the copy of XP OEM is installed on your old computer, even if it is still on the old computer.   An OEM license is not transferable to any other computer.

Before you plan to install XP on your new computer you must visit the manufacturer's Web site to see if the XP drivers are also available.

    Hello

Try it for your MacPhyter3v National Semiconductor 10/100 PCI Adapter. If it works, then you might be able to find generic drivers for other devices on Windows update site.
