Windows 8 is not enabled but the laptop still work?

Bought a computer mobile opportunity, 8 Windows pre-installed, but it still works, it has a windows error message 8 not activated. How can I activate with just the 5 digits of the product key code... Former owner has no idea what is the code of the key.

You need 25-character to activate Windows 8.

If you do not, you will need to purchase a license:

Imen quite so much as the title, when I try to put my computer to sleep the screen turns off but the computer is still running. My computer is a HP pavilion dv6 is a little more than 3 years. He used to do whenever a while, but now it's every time I try to pause. I'll close the top cover, but the fan still works, the hp on the lid logo light remains lit, and if I reopen it cover the power light is always on and the lights on the keyboard caps lock and wireless keys. The same actions occur when I try to put it to sleep manually (from the start menu). It does not at all I have to do another that now hold power, but even when I do nothing, it will stay here like this for awhile and then just turn off completely.

When it starts up, it gives me the options to start in safe mode or start normally, and when I am connected and it gives me the "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown", I see that there is a minidump file in windows that has something to do with it. I tried to search for the file and the problem together, and then each separately, but nothing I've seen described really my problem, so I thought I should just ask on my problem.

I read what made other people, changing advanced power settings, changing the media settings, etc. and did those things, but to no avail. It's not a huge deal, because I can just turn off my computer whenever I'm done with it for now, but I don't know if it's a bad omen for the future of my poor computer. So if someone could give me a hand with this point in mind, I'd be very happy. Also, either by the way, if this is in the wrong forum topic, please let me know.

If you use a wireless keyboard or mouse to your computer, these items can keep your computer enter standby mode automatically because they constantly send a signal to the system, thus preventing downtime. An optical mouse (that changes color) causing a similar problem.

    Hello

I use my Intel client to manage my wireless network connection in Windows XP Pro SP3. (I need to use the Intel client because it supports protocols wireless not supported by the Windows client).

I would like to remove the icon from the system tray/notification area Windows wireless network connection and cannot find a way to do it.

I opened the network connections, right click and choose 'properties' and in the general tab at the bottom there are two check boxes "Show icon in notification area when connected" and "notify me when this connection is limited or not connectivity ' which I disabled (I did it for my local network also), but the icons still appear in the status bar when it is disconnected.

    Any suggestions?

  • My iPhone screen 6 is black but the phone still works as the sound goes in and out. I can't restart and have tried several times and cannot reset on iTunes because need to unlock my phone.

I dropped my phone in a short distance and when I picked it up it the screen was black. However, the sound still works as I changed the switch works for her and he made noises. I also slightly see the apple logo when I turn on my phone and you can see the switch when I try to turn it off, but it is not entirely displayed, I can't see it in very dark rooms. I tried to reset the phone several times using the Lock and Home buttons at the same time and we have tried to connect it to iTunes to reset, but it does not connect due to having unlock my phone, I can not do. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you get a black on your iPhone screen, even if it is enabled. I would recommend that you take a look at the following article:

  • Windows 8 do not repair after the laptop broke down (my husband HP G60-125NR)

Bought the upgrade of software online to win November 7, 2012.  PC has had several problems with HDMI on the laptop.  It would break and then we would get running again.

Yesterday, my husband went to turn on his laptop and it crashed completely.  I created a bootable cd to download Win 8 we bought.  On reboot, we were happy... but not for long.  The repair feature would not work... no reason given.  It does not restore options, nothing works.  I went several forums to find a solution.
Finally, we decided to reinstall windows and he said, it would not be installed because the PC is locked?  Frustrated!
Tried once more and I have a message "Windows didn't prepare the computer to start the next phase of the installation."  To install Windows, restart the installation.
    Error:
    File: \Boot\BCD
    Status: 0xc000000f
Boot your PC Configuration data is missing or contains errors
Can anyone help with this?  My husband had some work/Word documents that he wants to save, and alas, he fears that he will lose all.  What choices do we have?  Don't forget, repair, restore and reset functions are all not working is not for us.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I come home and I tried the option you provided.  Thank you by the way.  I can't get past the first command prompt:

BcdEdit/export \BCD_Backup C: (where BCD_Backup is the location where you want to reside) and press ENTER.
(is there a letter or another command I should type after the backup of the word?  When I type in prompt up there, it indicates that the setting is incorrect) command prompts are confusing to me.
I also shows that several facilities of Windows see examples:
    [1] C:\Windows.old.000\Windows
    [2] C:\Windows.old.001\Windows
    [3] C:\Windows
At this point, I'm afraid that I won't get it her husband pc so that it starts.  It is a constant reboot and loop, I've been in the bootrec files and he says it has repaired, but in vain.
See the messages in the refresh, reset and repair options:
'Refresh' option and the message "the drive where Windows is installed is locked.  Unlock the drive ad try again".  How can I unlock a drive that would not even start?
'Reset' - impossible to reset your PC.  A required disk partition is missing
"Repair" - automatic repair couldn't fix your PC.

    1. enter in BIOS
    2. restore default values
    3. exit & save changes

Youre system should boot in AHCI now again. If you get the same message:

    1. enter in BIOS
    2. go in advanced
3 set mode Compatible HARD drive / IDE
    4. exit & save changes

To enter the BIOS F2 press until you initialize (directly after pressing the power key press F2 continiously).

  • Wireless link has disappeared from the Sony laptop, XP, but the link still works on Vista computer. However, Sony can still detect other networks.

I have a Sony notebook 'dated', XP Professional, Service Pack 3, using a Netgear wireless router. It has worked well for years, but last week, in the middle of a session, I suddenly lost the wireless signal. The router works fine with the other, my Vista computer. The strange thing is that Sony can see other networks in the building and sometimes also my network, but does not connect. When I try to manually connect the connection disappears again.

Were there an XP update that may possibly be the cause or is there another explanation?

    Hi SveinD99,

Thanks for posting. The first thing I would recommend you do is go to the website of the manufacturer and the redownload and install driver wireless. I would also contact the manufacturer to see if they have diagnoses of material that they work to test and make sure that the material is healthy and working properly.

    I hope this helps.

  • ASA-AIP-SSC-5 is not responding, but the local session works fine.

I have several Cisco ASA 5505 s with ASA-AIP-SSC-5 IPS modules.  Some of the IPS sensors are sensitive, but others are pretty stubborn and unresponsive.  I can reach each of them through the session 1 of the ASAs SSH host terminal or console.  Is this a problem with the software of os rev currently installed or is it the modules themselves?  Current charge Rev is 6.2 (2).

There were multiple faults (some critics) set the 3,0000 E4 version of the software that could be the cause here (specifically patches to the mainApp process both sensorApp). A good first step would be to restart properly ("reset") each module, and after they come back online and are running normally, install the upgrade package E4 3,0000.

Once the upgrade, if this problem persists, please specify "others are pretty stubborn and unresponsive"... they do not meet attempts to connect to remote (SSH and HTTPS), but you can session in them their orders of ASA and cause the host successfully (without error)? How long are up / in line before becoming insensitive? If you the session in one of these modules _when it's unresponsive_ and the version of 'show' command question, mainApp and sensorApp processes appear as 'Running '?

Software defects side, cause generally seen for sensors going on which are sensor oversubscription. Another thing to keep in mind is that on this particular platform/model (AIP-SSC-5), the signature updates can take quite as long as the most powerful models (which can be seen as the sensor becomes unresponsive).

  • My Z3 Xperia screen is black but the phone still works

    Hello world!

I tried to find another question like this to help me, but I can't find it. So, I got my Sony Xperia Z3 for a month and it has always worked well, I have no problem. I never gave up. An hour ago, the screen went black, I wanted to check something on the phone. At first, I thought that the battery has failed, but it turns out that I have a lot of battery and the phone is on charger now. Then, I realized this phone works fine, it sounds when someone calls me, when there is some notifications that you can hear a noise too. I can even adjust volume. Just the screen is black all the time.

Someone had this problem? Do you know how I can fix this problem?

    Thank you.

Sorry to hear that but you would need to return your device to the place of purchase or contact the Xperia and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Depends entirely on this laptop you have. If it has a 64-bit processor
You can use 64-bit Windows. If a 32-bit CPU, you can't.

If you don't know you have, hold down the Windows key and press
Break | Break. It will tell you if you have a 32-bit
    processor or 64-bit processor.
