Windows 8: LG BH10LS30 Blu - Ray burner is no longer visible

Hi people
After an upgrade if not smooth from Windows 7 to Windows 8 (64-bit), my burner LG BH10LS30 Blu - Ray (SATA) is visible in the BIOS but not at all in the window 8.
There is an update of the firmware of LG November, but they advise applying it if the disc is not visible in windows. The drive is SATA in IDE PIO 4 mode (I tried changing the PIO and DMA settings without result).
Everything else is great!

I have the same problem. Try this:

Insert the installation DVD of Windows 8 in the Blu - Ray drive, and then restart (leaving the disc in the drive!). Once you start in Windows 8, go my computer and you should see your Blu - Ray player. However, as soon as you remove it the disc disappears back into work but re - post will appear if you insert another disc. If you start with the Windows 8 disc, you can use your Blu - Ray player as usual. If you start with the blank disc or another disc, then the Blu - Ray player will remain invisible and useless no matter what disk insert you! Very annoying and it must be a bug - Microsoft, can we please have an update to fix this problem? It happens to a lot of people.

  • Recommend Blu - Ray burning software

    Hi all

I can find a BLu - Ray burner, but the software that allows you to burn BLu - Ray still seems a bit sketchy.

One below looks good, but many say that you must purchase additional software for blu - ray burning.

I have toast, but an older version and do not want to pay just to be able to burn blu = ray.

Is it safe to burn it to Blu - Ray in the FCX? This option requires no other software right? The iMac and FCX

    has everything what to do?

    Thank you

What do you do with your DB? If you need to create sophisticated, you may need a Windows machine. If all you need is a reliable compiler and running something that reliable external combustion of FCPX, Toast gets my nod.

Burn inside FCPX works very well but it is facing issues like burning DVDs, especially subtle graphics or menu glitches that are difficult to track down or weird user errors.

    From the FCPX help system:

    DVD and Blu - ray

Use these destinations to burn your project or the clamp to standard definition (SD) DVD or Blu-ray-compatible disk, or to create a disc image (.img) file, you can copy on an external drive or burn to a disc later.

  • My blu - ray burner no longer works

This is going to be a long post, forgive me.

For some unknown reason, I can no longer burn on blu - ray discs. I never got hurt before the last two years, in which I burned dozens of discs all this without a single problem. Now, as soon as the burn progress meter gets to 20 percent (less than 5 minutes), the disc will eject and I get the following error message:
    "cannot format the disk (EB191784).

My burning software is "CyberLink Media Suite 11 Ultra", for which I'm used in its use. The program I use to burn the disc is «PowerProducer v6» The type of disc that I use is the 25 GB Verbatim BD - R, which is what I've always used.

Here are the steps I took to solve this problem:

    (1) I downloaded and installed the new firmware for my blu - ray player. This is the "BWU-500s 2.63" version on the Sony site.

    (2) completely uninstalled all the Cyberlink software, then reinstalled everything. Then I went through each of its programs and made sure they were up-to-date and that they do not need a patch to update.

    (3) after reading various help forums, I discovered that my C: / drive requires plenty of space on it in order to burn a blu - ray disc, so I made sure that there is at least 130 GB. They also said the same thing for the reader where the input file is coming, which is be my E: / drive - and it has 320 GB.

    (4) I have tried 4 different discs, nothing helps and I've never had a bad front disc, so I doubt I would have 4 in a row.

    (5) I've also updated the driver on my graphics card, which is EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

    (6) I did a clean boot

    (7) I have Defraged my computer

    (8) I also tried to burn 3 movies different blu - ray, just to make sure it wasn't all caused by 1 corrupt blu - ray movie.

    Note:
The strange thing is that my blu - ray player to burn the DVD without one problem - it just won't let me not burn blu - ray discs more.

So, after all the foregoing, I was told I should try another burning - program just to make sure it wasn't "PowerProducer". So I tried to use ImgBurn. But I got this error message:
"Device not ready (no reference Position found).

So, I looked at the log file and here's what he said:
    I 01:48:24 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 has begun!
    I 01:48:24 Microsoft Windows 7 Edition Home Premium x 64 (6.1, Build 7601: Service Pack 1)
    I 01:48:24 total physical memory: 12,573,880 KiB - available: 6 415 580 KiB
W 01:48:24 of Duplex Secure's SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.
    I 01:48:24 initializing SPTI...
I 01:48:24 searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...
    I have 01:48:24-> Drive 1 - Info: SONY BWU-500s 2.63 BD RW (d :)) (ATA))
    I found 01:48:24 1 BD - RE!

Duplex Secure SPTD driver «...» "is what stood out to me. So I checked on this topic further and discovered that I had an older version (v1.74), so I installed the latest version (v1.86). Well, none of this fixed my burning problem. It seems just that my blu - ray discs won't boot, but I don't know why!

On a side note, I noticed a very strange thing - but I know for a fact that this happened AFTER the beginning of my burning problem. So I know it has not caused the problem, but I think it's another symptom.

In my device-> slot Manager ' lists of readers CD-ROM/DVD - ROM-> he one thing "CD-ROM Drive"

But this is false, that it has ALWAYS been recognized as "BD RW BWU-500 2.63 SONY"

I think he's changed when I was uninstalling/reinstalling all that "Cyberlink Media Suite 11 programs", but I can't get my blu - ray player name to reappear - it just keeps display the generic name of "CD-ROM Drive". Here is a screencap of what I'm talking about:

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Dan Keating

Here are my computer specs. :

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition)

POWER: 1000 Watts power (Xion SuperNova AXP-10000R14HE)

Good, its been fixed.  It turns out that all my blu - ray burner required had to be cleaned - I ended up using a Laser Blu - ray player lens cleaning disc. Everything works fine now. I would like to thank all those who helped me to solve this problem.

    Very appreciated

  • Blu Ray Burner will not play Blu Ray

    Hello

I have a dv6-ww142av.  I ordered my computer a few months ago, but today is the first time I'm trying to play a Blu Ray. The computer has a Blu Ray burner installed.  I inserted the disc (from Lost) in the computer and the HP software popped up.

It says "ready to play disc.  Press play to start. ' so I did, and nothing happened.  I checked to make sure that the software is updated and I made to each requested update from me.

Here is a link to the web to your computer laptop support portal.

I recommend that you download and install the appropriate operating system software HP MediaSmart DVD.

You will find the software in the download page of drivers & software under the software-multimedia section.

Be sure to restart Windows after you install the new driver.

Install the current and try again your Blu - Ray disc. You check that the drive works on another player?

  • Help with requested Blu ray burning

I use for many YEARS now very successfully without any significant problem until I entered the world of HD and Blu Ray. My system specs are at the bottom of this post.  I've been recording HD for a few years now on my Sony HDV camcorder and rewrite the final production on HDV tapes.  I recently decided to move to the top and get a blu ray player, writer now that burners and media are affordable (well enough)... and the beginning of all my problems.

Normally, I create 10 minutes productions finals about an hour of footage. However, after a 3 week trip to China, I have created a 50-minute production which I want to create a Blu Ray disc.  The production contains many transitions, titles and still images (taken with 10 megapixels).

I can make the OK project although it takes a few hours.  However, my system crashes (blue screen) about 85% of the way through the Blu Ray encoding process.  I've split the 2 separate projects - one of 20 minutes and another 30 minutes.  20 minute we burn Bly Ray ok, but the 30-minute project still hangs (blue screen again) towards the end.  An obvious solution would be to divide the project down in to 3 separate projects and burn on Blu Ray 3 discs but this kind of ruins to the point of having a Blu Ray burner because I could created 3 AVCHD DVD discs instead.

The problem seems to be the lack of memory.  The encoding process seems to work in space from 1 to 2 GB until very near the end, when the requirement of memory seems to soar upward to the 4 GB limit.  My suspicion is that first tries to use all of the system memory and tramples needs system thus causing the entire system to blue screen.

I travelled through the forums and found that many users have had similar problems, but not found solutions.  A that someone managed to create a decent Blu Ray size disc of Premiere Elements - and nobody knows the minimum configuration to do this.

    System:

    First Elements 8

Sony Viao VPCCW1S1E - Intel Core 2 Duo P7450, running Windows 7, 4 GB of memory with all works on the system c: drive.with 150 GB free.

NVidea GeForce GT 230 M video adapter

    Thanks Steve

    (3) choice of AVCHD - when my project, in about 45 minutes PE8 starts to become slow and unstable (is not surprising given the system I use) so I divide it into 2 separate projects and the only way I could find to merge into a single project was to convert each project to the HD file format that I could import them into a new project.  I used ' share PC / MPEG / H264 1920x1080i 25 '-this created a file AVCHD I could import in PE, return and then re-export.  How to create a HDV file (without writing back on tape and then reimport?)

AVCHD is very difficult to change. Many users would recommend an i7 overclocked processor, sitting in a very robust system. Unfortunately, camera mfgrs. This introduces, but forgot to tell their clients that they would purchase a State-of-the-art, just computer to edit it.

In regards to HDV, there is a FAQ entryabout this operation. I don't shoot AVCHD, so I can't guarantee this FAQ entry, but given that Steve Grisetti wrote, be considered as gospel.

    Hope that helps,

    Hunt

PS - Pre is designed to work perfectly with a length of projects (either) DVD SD, but it OK with BD projects now. Yet, when the duration of the timeline stands here, break the project into manageable pieces is the recommended route. It's one of the things I like about PrPRo - it uses sequences (think to of mini projects into one"master"), and I use them as my "chapters."

  • SSD and Blu Ray Burner laptop HP ENVY 17-j009el

    Hello

I would like to add a second hard drive (SSD) on my new laptop, but I need to buy a sata cable. Do you know tell me a part number or a store where to buy?

In addition, I would also buy a Blu Ray Burner internal, it must be compatible or just ok?

    Thank you

Your laptop is a second hard disk for a second drive Bay. You will need to order a kit of hard disk hardware. It will include a support and cable.

. See the illustrated parts Envy 17 maintenance and Service guide kit hardware hard drive part number list.  The manual also includes the part number for a disc of Blu - ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD±R/RW Double layer compatible with your laptop in place of the original unit.

  • 700-109 envy: Blu - ray burner?

Optical drive my camera has a blu - ray burner? I've upgraded to this eqipment 20 months ago and for the first time since then, then I try to burn a video to a disc in the blu - ray format.  The machine, he replaced (a Dell to 2008) was a blu - ray burner and at no point in the purchase process for the upgrade is already produced for me that I might need specifically look for a machine with a blu - ray burner.

The specs on the HP site describe the disc as "Drive DVD SuperMulti burner".  Nothing in the record specifically referred to the speed of burning blu - ray (there is a large table with all sorts of types of discs and burning speeds, but no reference to the blu - ray format).

I think the actual hardware of the drive unit is GHA3N DVD-RAM, if that helps.

    Hello:

A 'Engraver of DVD SuperMulti' drive is not a Blue Ray player.

It is a DVD - RW drive.

If you still have your old Dell, you can see if you can swap drives on.

  • Add to MT 9010 DVD burner with Blu - Ray burner as a second burner

I am looking for a MT 9010 with a Blu - Ray combo burner. I also want to add a DVD burner as a second burner. Sales said that the system cannot be bought like that. Is it just the way they are sold, or it's physically impossible to add a second burner? There is one external slot open, and it would seem that the motherboard could support. Can I add a DVD burner myself if I get the MT 9010 with the already installed Blu - Ray burner? Thank you.

    Hi jaman57,

OptiPlex 9010 MT has two optical drive bays and four SATA ports on the motherboard. Yes, you can add a DVD burner yourself with the Blu - Ray burner. The image of the façade is provided below:

Any chance to make (or borrow) an another Blu - ray external writer to determine if the problem is specific to the external burner you have (Pawtec external blu ray burner)?

If you are set in your current situation, you could explore the idea of burn your Timeline on DVD AVCHD and then burning the BDMV folder this disc to a Blu - ray disc with free software like ImgBurn? Then determine which resembles your Blu - ray player after first finding out if the product disc is compatible with your Blu - ray player.

If so what you use and it works well for you?

Still using first Elements 4 and it's simple, save timeline high definition, click SHARE, click on blu - ray, select, H.264 or mpeg-2. I believe that in CS5, you use yet?

We did it at least 5 blu - ray, all perfect usually go to export on film or tape may have a slight advantage on blu - ray? No compression according to the demotion to DVD artifacts but this could be very good according to the complexity of the subject?
