Windows 8 Pro (volume license)

Hello. I am an individual customer and I bought a Dell XPS 12 new with Windows 8 Pro. I can't upgrade to windows pro 8.1 and he said: I have a volume license. I managed to get Windows Script Host, who said in my description of the product: Windows (r) operating system, VOLUME_KMSCLIENT channel.
I have no idea about it and my product license will expire March 15, 2015. What should I do? Thank you.

    Hello

I have a windows 8 pro lenevo laptop.

I am not able to see the windows 8.1 update in the windows store.

I installed all the updates as well.

When I tried to run the "windows Upgrade Wizard', I got a message saying that ' my PC does not meet the requirements of windows could be a version of company or a volume license version.

Is it possible to upgrade to 8.1 windows?

How can I take if my windows 8 is the release of volume license?

Windows 8 volume license distributions, such as Windows 8 Pro and Enterprise using KMS and MAK licenses must be updated by downloading the installation files for Windows 8.1 since the volume or TechNet/MSDN license health center if you have a subscription or install based on the settings of your employers.

Your Volume license is still active? If Yes, then you should have access to Volume License Service Center (VLSC) where you can download Windows 7 Professional 64-bit volume license media as appropriate. The same product key used to activate Windows 7 Professional 32 bit should work with the 64-bit version. Everything you change is the architecture.

If it turns out that your multiple activation keys have been exhausted, then you must contact the Volume License Activation Center:

    2. get a MAK or KMS key by phone by the

  • Acrobat 9 Pro Volume license transfer

    Hi all

One of our customers got a new PC and have Acrobat Pro 9 on it. The Acrobat 9 Pro has been activated on the old PC and we use the same license for a new key.

I used Belarc to extract license information, but when I try to use the same license key on the new PC, it says that is not valid.

The license we have is a volume license and it is supposed to auto turn off from the old PC when we put on the new. (correct me if I'm wrong)

And also the disable option is gray on the old PC.

Someone met the same problem before, or advice?

    Thanks in advance,

  • I can not install the language packs on my Windows 8 Pro, a license in this language help me?

My computer came with Windows 7 installed, but when my hard drive broke, repairing computer of our school it is replaced with a new hard drive and an illegal copy of Windows 7 Ultimate in Chinese with a language pack English. My new school, Peking University, provides a free legal copy of Windows 8 in English and Chinese, so I tried to upgrade to the English version. I could not switch to another language, so I checked here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2607607/en-us to see that all versions of Windows supports language packs and the Chinese version.

However, in the Control Panel, it says something like "cannot use language packs. What is the best way to do my Windows work in English? I could also just install a new version of french Windows 8 with license from my school, but it would be a shame to have to back up files and settings and reinstall all my software.

I found a download link of the Pack of language and installed by running the lpkinstall command. Now it's working. Was probably easier than having to reinstall everything using the English license :-)

We are a medical office of small business, to comply with the Hippa requirements we are switching to a new software of medical records with an oct 01 go live date all our PC family win7 premium and new software requires Windows 7 Professional, which will encure cost $ 90 each for upgrade, is now and then , we would have to pay a $40 extra to go to the window 8 times that she is released, is anyway to avoid the double cost of the upgrade and move directly to windows 8

You can do in place upgrades to Windows 7 Home Premium to the retail version of Windows 8 Pro while preserving your personal files and settings, you don't need to make a place in Windows 7 Professional upgrade.

If you deploy license of Windows 8 Pro volume however distributions, you must do a custom installation.

According to the info I found on the page of Toshiba, the laptop is preinstalled with common system of 64-bit Windows 8.

If you want to upgrade this Windows 8 Pro version, you can buy the upgrade of Microsoft.

But the question is if these updates would be really necessary for you...

  • Help! -Acer Aspire all-in-one touch screen after upgrade Windows 8 Pro

    Hi all!

This is a rather confusing questions and about * me off no end!  I know that some of you may have encountered this already and could have a potential solution?

I have an Acer Aspire all-in-one, AZ5101 (Aspire Z5101), with 4 GB of RAM, etc..

Since the Developer Preview of Windows 8 came out, I've been running Windows 8 perfectly.  I completely uninstalled (each time itself) and run the following:

    Windows 8 Developer Preview, 64-bit

Windows 8 Preview of consumer, 64-bit

    Windows 8 Preview, 64-bit version

In any case, on this PC worked perfectly - y INCLUSIVE of the TOUCH SCREEN.  I never had a problem.

So far so good.  Then, they finally released updates Windows 8 Pro official licensed by download.  I bought the upgrade and downloaded.  Just like in * ALL * other cases, upgrade, I chose "keep nothing" of the old system (I never really got all the important data on here), and do the upgrade itself.

After the upgrade was complete, and ALL Windows 8 Pro updates have been applied by Windows update, I have a system where the screen is clear and precise, everything works, and all devices in Device Manager, show the Greens well, it works fine - NO ERRORS.  HOWEVER - NO CONTACT!  No touch no screen function at all.  The screen now has this time as a standard monitor.

I tried the driver Idéacom - no luck.  Anyone know (please? LOL) how to get the touch screen to work again?  Thank you very much!  I really appreciate any help you can give.  Microsoft technical support had NO idea and no reply emails from Acer! Laughing out loud

    Thanks again,

    Mike

  • Can I use my copy of Vista Business upgrade retail a computer with Windows XP Pro?

    Upgrade/license transfer

I have purchase Windows 7 business plan and upgrade my Vista Business retail version to Windows 7 Pro.  Can I use my copy of Vista Business upgrade retail a computer with Windows XP Pro?

If you use the license professional Vista as the operating system with a Windows 7 Pro upgrade license then no, you can't continue with Business.

If you use a copy of the licence of right (standard retail) Windows 7 Pro then Yes, you can reuse the company to upgrade XP.

Upgrade license replaces the license qualify you for the upgrade license.  That's why the price is reduced from the price of a copy of the full license.  In this case, a license of Windows 7 Upgrade binding Vista Business license to the Windows 7 Pro license and operating permits would be free not to use it elsewhere.

How install Windows 7 Pro has no importance.  If you use an installation upgrade or new installation method, what matters is the license of Windows 7, to level or standard (full).

Buy a copy of the full license of Windows 7 Pro to do what you are suggesting.

  • Windows 8 Pro OEM update problem

    Hi all

I recently bought an Acer P3 pre-installed with Microsoft Windows 8 single language tablet. Since I need to use some of the functionality available only with the Pro version, I bought a Windows 8 Pro OEM license. Since there is no way to reinstall Windows 8 at the beginning, I use the 'add new features' upgrade. Apparently the license does not work since it is a complete Pro 8 license and features requires the Windows 8 Pack Pro license instead. So, I make a call to Microsoft Tech Line and full of hope that they can change the license Pro Pack. After 2 hours of curiosity and the final tip, pleading for a change (it is not possible to Exchange or refund from the store I bought because the seal is already open), they will not always be allowed to change and leave me with RM 414 (~ 129 USD) in the sewers.

Is it possible for me to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro with this product key, and I really hope there is some flexibility on the part of Microsoft to help me in this situation since I already bought a Microsoft product with a higher value than the Pro Pack Upgrade. I would be happy for you to show my Bill and photo of the if product key requires Microsoft.

Thank you and looking forward to any kind of answers.

Unfortunately, add functionality does not support OEM System Builder licenses. You should have bought the Pro Pack or Pro Windows 8 details of upgrade.

Your only other option because you can not return it is again a custom installation of the currently installed Windows 8 SL. Backup the current Windows 8 install before do you.

First, create a backup of your installation of Windows 8 on an external hard drive:

    http://techingiteasy.WordPress.com/2012/10/29/how-to-backup-your-Windows-8-installation/

    Then, create a repair disk:

  • Upgrade to Windows 8 Pro's PC OEM of Windows 8 (new installation)

I recently bought a new PC (Sony Vaio SVL241290X, Dec 2012) with Windows 8 is installed.  I then bought a Windows 8 Pro Upgrade license.  I would like to install Windows 8 Pro as a clean install in order to reformat my hard drive and also remove pre-installed software (my PC came with 2 partitions recovery and a lot of software VAIO...).  Windows 8 Windows 8 Pro upgrade is possible, but does not allow me to do what I want, as indicated in the previous sentence.

When I bought my Win 8 Pro license I created an iso, which I then burned on a DVD.  After spending some time to find how simply boot from the drive (had to change MODE of BOOT UEFI to LEGACY in the BIOS, that I can enter only with the key Sony 'Help'...), I was finally able to start installing Windows 8 Pro disc.

After the start of the DVD, I reached the configuration of Windows 8 screen where I accepted the default settings (language, time, keyboard) and click "next".  I then clicked on "install now".  After a brief loading time, I get a message stating: "the product key entered don't match any available to install Windows images. Enter a different product key.  The provided only option is to click on 'OK', what I do, which returns just the on-screen 'Install now', that will make a loop back me the product key message if I click it.
Of some Internet research, I discovered that Windows 8 keys are now included in the BIOS, this is why I am never have the opportunity to enter my new Pro license (is this correct Microsoft?).
    Can you help me?
    Things I've tried:
    1. I upgraded to Windows 8 Windows 8 Pro (in order to "update the BIOS/firmware key"...) and then returned a clean install.  It not worked as I always get the product key message.
Things I don't want or think I should be compelled to make:
    1. install Windows 7 from the disc and then upgrade to Windows 8 Pro and remove the windows.old folder.
    Thank you.

    Hello

I never tried the upgrade in the way you describe... which I figured just enabled the features already on your machine, but wasn't sure.

I don't think that reinstall Win 7 and the upgrade work is the nature of your upgrade method. It seems to need to win 8, not 7.

From what I can tell, the only way for you to do the clean install would be with the real upgrade of the other versions.  The $40 or $70 a, depending on download or retail sales.

If you are interested, I've seen a number of online stores sell upgrade Windows 8 Pro (retail) for $30 - $40 after rebate (NewEGG) and in one case $40 outright (MicroCenter). That doesn't seem right, but it seems to be like that.

Thank you, but $40 upgrade option is one I bought (via http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/buy?ocid=GA8_O_WOL_SM_AppsOffer_FPP_Null) and I got with it.
That's what I ended up having to do:
    1. perform a clean install of Windows 7 on my OEM Windows 8.  I installed by booting from a Windows 7 disc that allowed me to reformat the hard disk (and remove all partitions in the process).
    2. after installation of Windows 7 (not active) on a completely wiped hard drive, tried to boot from my disk Windows 8 Pro (bought from link above) to see if I could now preform a clean install.  Surprisingly, it did not work, I got the same message that I received before ("the entered product key does not match... (', see my first post).  This leads me to believe that my key OEM Windows 8 original (not pro) is indeed stored in the BIOS/firmware somewhere...
    3. given that start from my Windows 8 Pro disc does not work, I did the upgrade to Pro 8 for Windows 7.  I chose to 'Keep nothing', but still finished with a folder Windows.old (about 10 GB), I simply deleted.
In the end, I got what I wanted: an installation of Windows 8 Pro without any software preinstalled or wasted scores OEM/manufacturer.
This isn't the way I think it should have been done, but I think it's the way Microsoft is forced to make.
