  I checked the previous messages and can't seem to find a solution to this problem.  Recently I ran 3 different scans, i.e. sbybot, avast and Malawarebytes virus. After that I ran these anti-virus programs and remove viruses, I was not able to open any more virus scanners. Every time I tried, would open a window saying "Choose the program you want to use to open this file." If I try to download a new virus scanner, it says the same thing.

  When I try to open the Control Panel, add or remove programs, a window appears saying "C:Windows\system32\rundll32.exe Application not found. I checked this file on my c: drive\system 32 and see the rundll.exe file. I also copy and pasted the file rundll.exe my CD of Windows XP in c: Windows\System32

  Everything else seems to work fine on my computer, and I get no message on the rundll.exe file when the computer starts up first.

  Remove from my computer-> tools-> file-> option-> view tickmark for "Hide extension for known file types"-> ok-online local disk now C:\WINDOWS\

  Make a right-click Rename regedit.com

  From start-> Run Type & -> regedit.com-> ok.

  and follow the registry path IE: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command

  (And Norton) McAfee applications are known to not uninstall (or upgraded) themselves. Assuming that the trial preinstalled McAfee free was uninstalled...

  1. download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  3. click right on the file saved in #1 above, and then select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

  4. If Webroot Antivirus with Spysweeper is installed or if you do NOT plan on buying of Webroot Spysweeper, uninstall this application, too, then reboot once more.

  5. open IE8 32 bit (only!) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 [ignore the section will APPLY to] & run it in DEFAULT and modes difficulty then AGGRESSIVE. [1]

  It appears in the Applications tab of the Task Manager?   If so, use with the right button go to the process about which app it is.   If the name of the Image doesn't have a clue you could also use ProcExp to see what is the command line.  (Press Ctrl-Shift-Esc to start TM.   Other OS show the command line in TM, but I don't think that makes XP.)

  I'm unable to remove an installed application.  The add/remove application opens but when I select the application target the window freezes and I can't close the window without having to reboot the machine.

  First, sometimes you can force the process to be completed by using the Task Manager, instead of restarting the machine.

  what you can do is to press ctrl alt delete, then find the process for the program at a standstill or task and kill him.

  Second, a method, you can try to uninstall a program via Add/Remove Programs Control Panel 'via' SafeMode.

  Thirdly, another method is if you did a system restore point before installing this unwanted program, you can essentially restore the State of the operating system, as it was before this program was installed.

  I use OS X Capitan version 10.11.13 and I'm trying to find an easy way to switch between multiple windows in the same application by using CTRL + alt or different keys.

  Here is what I feel...

  Let's say I have Outlook, Google Chrome, Safari, iTunes and apps 'about this Mac' open.

  I open the new message window in Outlook and another Chrome window. I have therefore 2 separate windows in Outlook and Chrome.

  With that, I'm unable to move the composition and the window main outlook which is so annoying. Let's say I want to read the emails by the prospect main window and transfer of the content of the compose window! The command + tab doesn't take me to the main window of Microsoft outlook! Even if there were the last visited / applications window. This constraint is not intuitive, unless it can be configured in the settings?

  Strangely, I can't switch to the "about this Mac" window.

  The work around is to use the function (F3) mission button and click on the window, that I want to use or click the "Outlook" application on the dock icon and choose the window in the list.

  In general, an Application that can open multiple windows provides a "Windows menu" you can choose the window you want.

  Of all my research, I'm sure it's impossible. But what the heck... Are you are my last hope.

  I have two applications tab updates in my app store account (not iTunes).

  Given that I'm currently running 10.11.3, I have more iPhoto on my computer; so it cannot be updated. However, the Apple App store thinks I should always download the update. Madness. I can not download it, I can't update. What I want to do, is remove the stinking albatross. But how?

  Similarly, I don't have domain name Analyzer on my iMac, but can't re - download. When I go to its description in the app store, the says "Update" button, no download. Pressing just sends me to the update page. When I try to update, it stifles upward and gives the message "domain name Analyzer failed to download. Use the shopping page to try again". Sure. I could continue to do this for hours and it won't change a thing. I sent Softnik on my dilemma, but they have ignored me until now. I doubt they have a solution.

  If the Mac App Store has not see the apps it would not offer updates. Verify that the applications are not on a connected drive or a partition mounted.

  Already running 32-bit application? Have you changed references to the 64-bit version?

  You use Measurement Studio? If so some features are not supported with 64 bit.
