    Hey,.

You are running windows vista, an edition of windows that is not eligible for a free upgrade to windows 10.

Windows 7 and 8 users can upgrade for free to windows 10.

You'd have to buy 10 windows and install provided that your system can support it.

There are windows 7 and 8 users can be verified by getting windows 10 app.

  • Windows system reserved (j) poster and additional partitions PQService (k)

My E-machine with Windows 7 top computer.  I've had it for years.  A few years ago system reserved (J :) and PQService (K :) started to appear.  I have an Acer monitor, I bought after the purchase of the computer.  I don't think that this J and K were there initially.  I think they came close a year or two ago.  Do I need this on my computer?  What are they for?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

Thank you for details on the issue.

The 100 MB partition is a partition system and contains the boot files. Disk Manager does not allow you to delete this partition because they remove this partition could force the system to no boot.

So, please do not try to remove or delete the "System Reserved" partition.

PQservice's hidden partition that allows you to restore the system out of the box state.

  • Windows 10 reserve icon now appears to be missing

Pro Service Pack 1 of Windows 7 running and recently had to do a reinstall of Windows. The upgrade icon did not appear until I had installed all the updates as a result of resettlement (around 200 of them). I booked my upgrade and clicked on the State and he said I had reserved my upgrade and does not need to do anything else at the moment. When I then started, the icon had gone into the taskbar. Where is it happened, why he disappeared, and I still have a Windows reserved 10 upgrade?

Your reservation must still be valid, that the icon may be missing because Microsoft pulled one or more GWX updates and possible result is the icon as well.

  • Windows restore reserve 50% of hard drive

I have the 200 GB partition (windows is on it) and restore windows reserve 50% of it (97 GB). I tried to change it to 5 percent, but every time I do this, after that I turned on the computer s to 50 percent. I have 60 GB of stuff on the partition. I cannot of course change to 5% from time to time but little irritating s. I have windows 7 Home premium 64-bit. I Don t understand why it doesn´t stay at 5 percent. If anyone can help, thanks.

It's not supposed to be insulting, but have you clicked "Apply" after you move the slider of the allocation to 5%?

If you click on apply and then OK, what happens if you immediately restart the computer?  The new allocation size glue through a reboot or gets set at 50%?

Assuming that the allocation size change,

    1. Check the drive for errors--> http://www.w7forums.com/threads/how-to-use-chkdsk-check-disk.448/.  Restart the computer and let chkdsk to run to completion.  This can take some time depending on the size of the disk and the number of files it contains.

I'm trying to upgrade to 8.1 Windows so I can get the opinion of Windows 10 reserve (already booked before wiping, but I want to make sure it stuck) and I have a problem with the Windows updates.

I did the first round of Windows updates and rebooted. Now whenever I go to check the additional updates, it tells me to restart. I restarted my computer 5 times Yes and I still get the same message. It does not seem to do anything with the updates on reboot. How can I fix?

Hi, thanks for the response. This problem is actually solved to him alone this weekend. When I went the power options, there is an option "to update and restart." Once I chose this option instead of "restart now" from the screen of Windows updates, it installed updates and I have not had any more problems.

with regard to my question above. I need to hold the button of power for 5 seconds to completely shut down my laptop. even restart or sleep does not work well. solutions, I tried to random searches that did not work for me.
1 unchecking quick stop to power options
2 disabling hibernation in cmd (types a code forgot what I have)
    3. update all drivers and bios with sites acer official drivers, driver pack solution 15.8 and utility driver update intels
4 decommissioning intel management engine components driver 11 to 9.5
    5. go to the bios and reset to the default settings

    Thanks in advance

    Hello/Hallo wuschel93,

exactly what I had. Stop number appears only after a certain time the laptop running.

The problem is INTEL MANAGEMENT ENGINE RELATED V.11!

I fixed it with uninstall Intel Management Engine Version 11. Windows will then install version 9.5 automatically. After that I turned off the automatic update of the driver for this device. You can also install 9.5 without uninstalling the old one, it wil crushed.

Other manufactures also have this problem, but while Acer is still asleep, they provide a solution (including download links):
