  • Help! My Windows 7 updated and deleted from my product key

Last night my previously genuine Windows 7 update, this morning, it prompted me to enter my product key code.  Of course, I don't know where this piece of paper is gone.  I tried to go back to a previous one except point (and uninstallation of the update).  But always required the key code.  Help!  I'm not ready to move to Windows 10 again.

When you upgrade, what will happen is that (your PC) hardware will get a digital right, a unique signature of the computer which is stored on the Microsoft Activation servers. Genuine Windows 7 Professional license will be exchanged with a key to the diagnosis.

Whenever you need to reinstall Windows 10 on this machine, go just to reinstall Windows 10. It automatically reactivates.

Give it a few days and it will activate automatically.

  • HP 15 laptop: update Windows 10 fall/TH2 deleted Realtek driver bluetooth... no idea what to do?

    Hello

After updating Windows 10 with the release of the fall/TH2, I get the message at startup which "Realtek driver for bluetooth has been removed because it is not compatible" or words to that effect. Clicking the notification takes you to a page of MS saying that this app is not compatible. Device Manager still showed a card Realtek Bluetooth 4.0, but only this point and says that it works but bluetooth does not work. When the pc is searching for bluetooth devices it find a little but now my phone. The driver version is 1.3.875.3. He never successfully connected anyway, strange with a phone of Lumia and windows OS, however it would allow you to manually request a file transfer. Now it no longer works. Realtek page does not seem to have any driver bluetooth downloads, HP support assistant finds no new software update driver/bluetooth and I don't see not all the drivers on the HP Web site either, so I'm stuck. Any help appreciated.

Problem seems to have been resolved since Windows 10 update KB3118754. Phone won't always sync but the error message about the Realtek driver/app bluettoth ceased to appear and I can now transfer files but using the manual method "receiving files."

  • Firefox does not open. Cannot update or delete. Says it is already open and I can't find how to close it.

Firefox shows that it is already open and must be closed in order to update or delete. I can't locate a place to complete the process. It's probably something very simple, but I'm not a computer genius. Thank you!

Have you tried you look for firefox.exe in the Task Manager process tab (you can get to that by using Ctrl-Alt-Delete, usually)? If you click firefox.exe in the list and then click on end process, it should close Firefox, even if Firefox does not seem to be running (sometimes the process takes a little longer to close the main window). If all else fails, maybe a reboot?

  • Problem installing KB980408 - set up the parameters for custom: Windows Desktop Update

After installing KB980408, the computer restarts, goes through the normal boot process, displays the Windows logo, and then goes to a black screen with a window:

Implementation of the custom settings for:

and stay on it indefinitely (4 + hours so far). Moving the mouse on the screen shows the circular cursor "wait", and I am able to move the window around; I am also able to start the Task Manager and restart, but that's all.

So I thought another reboot may solve the problem, but it doesn't... it keeps just hung to this window.

No matter who else affected by it, or have solutions to try?

I had this same problem on both machines. During his connection, this behavior began immediately after the KB980408 update has been installed. The solution I found is to ctrl + alt + delete, start taskmgr and kill the task of custom settings. Then you have to manually run explorer.exe (file--> Run--> Explorer.exe) and windows should load as usual. The next time that I rebooted and logged in Windows loaded as usual. I'm guessing that this problem is a "run once" task. However, updates are not supposed to make your computer more stable?

  • Already Windows XP updates installed

Can already installed Windows XP updates from 2006 to 2009 being removed? Remove them will affect the operating system?

    See: http://taurarian.mvps.org/WU_XP/removing_old_windows_updates.htm

Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$ who reside in C:\windows (hidden files) are window Hot difficulty updating folders/files) can be removed safely (providing ever, you wish to uninstall the updates). I recommend you leave these records for a period of at least one month to make sure that the update works correctly.

These updates can be removed individually or together. To learn more about the update/s go on:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/xxxxxx
NB: XXXXXX = the actual number, not to mention the "Q" or "Ko."

Once you have removed the uninstall folders/files, then go to control panel, add/remove programs. Select the title of the corresponding Windows fix on the folder/file of the patch you just deleted, and select Delete. You will get a Windows error. This is because you deleted the uninstall folder/files. Simply choose OK and the entry will be removed from the Add/Remove Programs list.

  • Problems of updates Windows XP - how to fix the incorrect Windows XP updates KB2633952 keep asking to install?

Problems of updates Windows XP - how to fix the incorrect Windows XP updates KB2633952 keep asking to install? True, it is that it is already installed on your computer. If hide us, an another previous KB2570791 arises in our updates of Windows and asked to install anything, that it was installed... of the questions repeated and very annoying.  Help, please!

(Microsoft Answers just sent us message have deleted our previous thread, ask for help!) We are simply not that these problems are problems with Windows XP updates related to DST or not?)

Nadia. PA supporter said that your computer is hacked. He may be right. I can't weigh because I don't know what led him to this conclusion. If your computer is hijacked, then you should address that more that you need to fix this minor update. However, under the resolution of your problem to update, you can try this:

    Assume Windows XP

Check the C:\Windows\System32\ directory for the presence of the file tzchange.exe

If the file is not present or if the version of the file is not 5.1.2600.6171 or newer...

Download the update appropriate 2633952 for your platform here:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2633952

Run with - extract switch (e.g., Start > run > "[path to the downloaded file] \WindowsXP-KB2633952-x86-ENU.exe"-x)

Of course, replace [path to the downloaded file] with the path to the downloaded file.

Citations may or may not be required depending on the path. Place the x - out the citations if you use them.

Choose a location for the extracted files (a new folder is recommended)

Locate the extracted files. File tzchange.exe you want and copy it into C:\windows\System32

That rerun Windows Update detection to see if the problem is resolved.

  • Hiding the windows 10 updated software in Windows 7 Sp 1

Running Win7 Sp1 without problems.  How to prevent Windows Update from automatically and continuously attempt to install Windows 10 after I was informed that my video card (GeForce 6150 THE) is NOT compatible.  I see no possibility to hide the update.  Of course, I missed something.

I advised my clients to doing what I've been dreading for years - disable automatic update of Windows.

The problem is compounded by a continual road by Microsoft to install Windows 10 on your computer without your permission.  They keep re - install KB3035583 (this is the activation code) on your computer, even if uninstall you it.  The result is a huge download and then constantly nags without a way obvious to say no.

So I advised my clients to stop WU.  Once a month the 2nd Tuesday, they will have an email to advise me to manually start the WU, then to reject specific updates as KB3035583.  Then update.  WU remains FOREVER. Some may laugh at the idea.  Well, they are incorrect.  Never, it is that you are never give Microsoft a chance to decide what you download and install.  It does NOT mean that you will never update.  The difference is that now assume you responsibility for the update.

If you see the Windows flag in the bottom right of your screen, the chances are pretty high that your computer already has the Win10 file. Even if you do not, it can be on your computer now anyway.  Here are the instructions on how to get rid of it:

If you are using windows 7 and have not installed win10 and do not, here is a procedure that I've used several times and it works.

    1. Remove Windows Automatic Update - check never

    2. Task Manager, processes, find and put an end to GWX.exe

    3. Control Panel, uninstall a program, see installed updates, WAIT a long time until you see the green bar complete its long journey to the right

    4. Now, look for KB3035583, uninstall it

    5. Restart the PC

    6. Disk Cleanup, step 2 for system - it takes some time

    7. You should find a temporary installation file it that anywhere from 4 to 8 gigabytes.  It's the downloaded Win10 file. Put a check mark on this point.

    8. OK, delete files

    9. Restart

    10. The start-up will take a while as he finished cleaning
