Windows 8 update hang up on update 3 of 127.

OT: Windows 8 update to hang up.

Hello!

I bought my son a computer for Christmas with Windows 8 operating system. He was suspended on the update 3 of 127 for six hours. We tried control alt delete, end, esc and unfortunately just hold the power button to turn off only that she either came right back on reboot. There is no way to access anything on the computer to make this judgment. I've scoured the Internet trying to find a solution, but nothing seems to work. Any advice?

Download Windows 10 updated, it is 99% and hangs there.

I left the computer now for about 14 hours of the night, but is still 99%.

    Help please.

If it is just the download bit and haven't started to install anything yet, then you can try the upgrade by using the multimedia creation tool - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and see if this method is not better.

Its always wise to backup everything first (at least all your important data - docs, bookmarks, videos, music, emails etc.) before upgrading the OS. Although they must all be left in place, if something goes wrong they may be. If you have a backup, you can find them. If you do not, you can't.

Also, follow the UPGRADE path listed in the article for the free update, not the own installation path.

  • Windows 7 update stops at 61%

Hello, I would just ask something on my windows7 update, it automatically downloaded 18 upgrades for my pc but once I restarted and updates began to set up, the process stops at 61%, right on the start screen.

Ive tried to reset in the middle of the configuration, which is clearly a bad move because windows tells me to do not turn off the power during Setup, but when I got to a point that windows prompted update failed, and coming back from changes, the process stops as well.

Fortunately, Ive found a way around it and used the system restore, my pc seems fine now but I wonder if someone could give me a reason that if it never happens again.

is there a problem on downloaded updates, or is there something bundles with my system with updates. Thank you in advance.

HI - other update of me... Despite the fact that he seems to hang 61% updated for literally 3 hours the PC finally to restart and restarted successfully. Sound never take this before, but all except one time, updates appear to have loaded successfully. So maybe the message is, if this happens to you, be very patient and keep faith in the amazing power of Windows 7 recovery!

  • How to stop windows defender updates to install immediately

I have Vista SP2, fully implemented to date. Processor 3 Ghz, 2 GB ram.  I have my windows updates set to automatic at 03:00.  These always install at 03:00 or when I select Install.  The problem I have is that these Windows Defender updates install immediately as soon as my pc starts or soon there after.  They seem to be ignoring my settings of windows updates.  It really drives me crazy because I have to wait and stop what I want to do both.  Windows defender updates slow down my pc or freeze the programs sometimes while I'm trying to use the pc.  Same IE9 sometimes freezes because of them.  Sometimes, I have to restart the pc to make it work well. They scan as soon as they install and they install as soon as they are published.  They are supposed to be for help, not to make my pc use miserable.  How can I make windows defender updates obey my windows update settings?

Have you tried to install manually instead of by means of automatic updates?

NIS 2012 should have disabled Windows Defender when it has been installed on your Vista operating system.  You turn Windows Defender?

What you describe as gel application hangs, looks slow performance software conflicts such as those that occur between contradictory antimalware programs.

I no longer use Windows Defender because of the risk of conflicts and problems with MSE.  I know people who have asked for advice in the forums etc who have had similar problems that you and their options were to uninstall or disable Windows Defender or uninstall their existing such as MSE, Norton, AVG, AV program.  Uninstall Windows Defender is not necessary, eliminated the problems of error messages, etc.

You may notice the following excerpt from:

    MSE and Windows Defender

Q: what happens if I do not disable or uninstall Windows Defender, if I use Microsoft Security Essentials?
A: If Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender are both running, your system can know the performance degradation and other problems caused by the conflict of two services providing real-time protection at the same time.

The same Council also applies to people who use NIS, and Windows Defender.

If you want to ignore my suggestions it is certainly your option.

If you can continue to follow this thread maybe someone else will have another suggestion for your question.

    Kind regards...

  • Windows 7 update function

    Hello

I have problems with the function of Windows 7 update because it keeps hanging / freezing all the time when looking for updates. I've been to other sites for help and took advice such as the download of the Windows Update troubleshooting tool and install the latest version of the Agent to update without success.  The last successful update check was conducted on 22/02/2016, which resulted in the installed updates (part 2). I would have thought that it would be quite a few updates since February.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (x 64) on a laptop Dell Latitude E4300 used with 3 GB of memory and an Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU P9600 @2. 53 GHz GHz 2.54.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions on how I can solve this problem.

If please see this thread and follow the instructions exactly.  I have successfully used this procedure on more than one PC.  You can re-enable the automatic updates after that update works again.

  • Windows 7 update for Windows 7 does not

I know that people have had this problem before, I have tried the solutions found on this site still does not.

I have Windows 7, 64-bit on my laptop. I think it's because I rarely use the laptop this problem started, since my office that I use every day is not. Anyway,.

the last update has completed successfully, on 2 July 2016. the only thing that had installed the puisne

Update security for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB3150220)

before this date the last complete successful update was May 4, 2016.

I tried to update later in July and that's when he stopped completely. Hangs up on 'check updates' or 'download to 0%.

This evening I installed update security for Windows (KB3153199) because it was the only person that I don't seem to have when I checked for solutions to installation in the other threads.

I put my "never search for updates' advance and restarted. He is always hung up.

  • 27 - 1110ea: Windows 7 update does not update

    Hello

I did now 2 installs fresh with the HP recovery discs and both windows update does not work. I tried different patches from microsoft that I found online in this regard and nothing works.

I don't know if it's related, but said SP1 is installed, but when I look in the installed updates it isn't here. If I try to uninstall from a command promt it says is not installed and if I try to install it from the microsoft download it says it is installed.

It makes me crazy. I was expecting it to work from a clean install, but it doesn't.

    Any help would be great.

    Hello

Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting.

If it says SP1 is included, it means it is included and comes with the system, so you can not unintall it - it is part of the system - built in. You will not see the updates installed because it's built, do not subsequently installed.

It is a known problem that now when you perform a clean installation of Windows 7, the installation updates will be delayed. This is due because of many things including the fact that W7 is more priority Microsoft because of new OS on the juice of the horizon: like Windows 10. Some users have reported that after the new facility it may take hours of waiting until Windows 7 poster updates are available. But don't worry - they are not that critics and you shouldn't worry so much for them.

I can offer a workaround is to:

-Windows 7 update agent be manually updated to the latest version > > https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/kb/949104

-Download directly from MS "April 2015 battery maintenance update" and install it manually

-Download Win 7 convenience roll update and install it manually

This update package, which combines updates dating all the way back to February 2011, is not be made available in Windows Update. If you install a Windows 7 system from scratch, you will need to go out of your way to download and install it. If you do not, Windows Update will download and install the updated way on day one by one, the slower, more tedious.

You have now all the updates of Windows 7 since its initial release until may 2016

After that, you try to install the new updates.

I hope it works for you. Let me know how it goes.

  • Reinstall the original software after Windows 10 update

When I bought my HPE-180 t, it came with Adobe products already installed as part of the package I bought.  After the Windows 10 update, it became necessary to reinstall Adobe first Elements 8 and she asks a code that did not come with disks. What should I do?

Windows 10 normally do that unless the application is too old.  Adobe Elements 8 first seems to be 2009, well before 10 Windows.  You may need to get a newer version.

Windows 7, update services does not, RESOLVED.

The problem occurs when you change your hard drive for a bigger, in my hard drive of the case a GB Western Digital 340 WD 750 GB drive hard.

For the Windows automatic updates again you need update the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driverdriver. It will not be updated when you have intel check your drivers! For me, only the 9.5.6.1001 version worked. This driver can be found at http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02219204 .

Versions available at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng & ProductFamily = Software + Products & ProductLine = Chipset + Software & ProductProduct = Intel % c2% ae + Rapid + Storage + Technology + (Intel % c2% ae + RST) did not work for me (I tried the form version 12.8.0.106 08/08/2013.) Why does not the superior version is not clear to me.

Good luck to solve you yours it took me two weeks to find it.
