Windows 8 upgarde to Windows 8.1

Hi all

I bought the upgrade of Windows 8 from 31/10/2012 since Windows 8.1 is released whenever I want to install, installation will not accept my key and I do the phone activation.

Is there a way to make Windows 8.1 accept my Windows 8 key without calling?

Also, I had received key to pack WMC that I've never used so how can I get the latest without these steps.

I'm just ready for windows 10 after trying building 9226.

Thank you

Hi Philippe,.

Thanks for the link provided, I'll try, but at the moment I'm re-reading gain you my new 10 TP that works perfectly with my hardware.

and I think that I will not need to reinstall Windows 8.1 because Windows 10 is surprisingly honest after playing with him for two days serve me.

Thanks again for your response.

  • Problems trying to upgarde to Windows 10

    Original title: Please, help me

    Dear Sirs,

Thank you for reading my email.

I tried to upgrade my OS (Win 7 family basic to win 10) window.

I had a problem. my PC cannot be used. I turn on my PC and it seems that the CPU is always running and never stop.

on the screen: out of reach and no cable connected.

the monitor will look similar to freshen up and never stop.

I can't go to the control panel. Unfortunately, I decided to fix from my original Win 7 CD.

and now I can use my PC with Win 7, but I lost my programs (Microsoft Office: Word, XL, Power Point and many others).

Unfortunately, I lost my original CD of Microsoft Office.
Please, give me a direction. I had success with my laptop with Win 8 to 10 to win.

but, what is the problem with my PC and lost programs?

I'm looking forward to your good news.thank so.

Sometimes, you need to make some preparations before the upgrade.

You can download a backup copy of your Microsoft Office from the following link:

    Download Office

    https://products.Office.com/en/download-back-up-restore-Microsoft-Office-products

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).
  • AVG Internet Security and AVG PC Tuneup will cause problems after upgarding to Windows 10?

Original title: AVG vs 10 widows

I used AVG Internet Security 2015 and AVG PC Tuneup 2015.  They will create no problem if I install Windows 10 as a replacement for Windows 7 Home Edition? wouldn't be better to remove them?

If you look at the AVG support community there is not a lot of issues with AVG and Windows 10 products and the few that you can read on are resolved quickly - usually with an AVG uninstall and reinstall (especially after the migration of the BONE).

If you are migrating your Windows 7 to Windows 10 I think I would uninstall all AVG products if they don't get in the way, completed the transition from OS and then reinstall AVG products from scratch on Windows 10.  Some problems of AVG support are usually solved with uninstall/reinstall anyway.

From the looks of the circulation in this Windows 7 community, you're more likely to have questions Windows 7 migration to Windows 10 (or try to go back) with AVG.

  • Upgarde to Windows 7 from Windows Vista-cannot uninstall nero burning rom,

I recently bought the update from Windows 7 for my laptop (I currently have Vista). I tried to intall Windows 7, but after running the compatibility check, it says that you need to first uninstall Nero Burning Rom.  I uninstalled all Nero files on my laptop but the same message came, so I downloaded the "Nero Clean Tool Bundle" and got rid of all that, too, but when I try to install Windows 7, the same message that I have to uninstall Nero Burning Rom is yet to come. I don't know what else to do. When I go into my computer and look through all my files and programs, Nero is not found.

I am frustrated and can't seem to understand. Does anyone know what I could do?

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
    User account control permission
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
    5. click on OK.
    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  • Re: Satellite Pro A300 - 2C4 "Windows 7 Professional Upgrade DVD" upgrade

We have a Satellite Pro A300 - 2C4 (bought on 23-11-09) that came with Vista Business 32-bit installed, but has been downgraded (using the provided diskette) to Windows XP due to the demands of corporate network.

When Windows 7 became available, I bought the DVD to upgrade to Windows 7 Toshiba provided so that if the company decided to upgrade to the new operating system, we could do it on this laptop.

That's what I tried recently to discover that we can't do as the DVD is for Win Vista upgrade Windows 7 Pro. What is the best way to upgrade without having to buy another drive to upgrade. I have a set of recovery disks for an another Toshiba SatellitePro A300 - 2 4 which was bought about 2 months before this one. These were created using the Toshiba recovery software before any changes have been made on the laprop. Would I be able to restore the system to its state of Windows Vista using these disks and then use the Windows 7 Professional Upgrade DVD to make the upgarde?

Suggestions or recommendations would be greatly received.

This upgrade package offered by Toshiba is upgraded from Vista to Win7. So if you want to use it, you must install Vista recovery image at first.

After that, you can upgrade pre-installed Vista to Win7 following the Toshiba s implementation instructions.
I did the same thing my Qosmio X 300.

If you cannot use created recovery disc either s order Toshiba Vista recovery disk or (perhaps the best solution) install the clean version of Win7. A300 is fully supported for Win7 and you can download all the necessary drivers and tools specific to Toshiba and utilities.

  • Satellite L500D - impossible to go from Vista to Windows 7

    How can I fix it?
I used the disc once install window 7 never got the error before
Also I booked it with Toshiba Mobile healthcare (wait for it to be sent to them)

Should I just wait for them remedy?
Or is it easy for me to fix it?

Or could I just go out and buy window 7 upgarde and pop in the laptop and install well work?

    Thank you
    Lily

    Hi Lily,

You have used the disk to upgrade to Windows 7 in Toshiba or was it a normal disc of Windows 7 from Microsoft?

In my opinion, this error message means that the file on the disc can t be read properly. Maybe the disc is scratched or your CD/DVD drive doesn't work properly. Have you tried other discs?

  • Satellite L50-A00V - Toshiba hotkey should work for Windows 8.1

    Hi guys

I have a C50-A00V Satellite laptop and I just upgraded to windows 8.1 also used toshiba service station to upgarde my drivers, which worked but took like 4 hours in any case on the last update for toshiba hptkey function, I thought that the update and install was finished and I restarted but I was wrong after reboot I found that the driver was marked by one. in Device Manager, I tried to update driver it bt it says I have the best driver... so I tried to use the toshiba s3rvice station to locate and install the driver, but is not picking it up, I think he thinks his already installed...

I'm from Australia and for some stupid reason, toshiba provided no windows 8.1 drivers yet, anyway im stuck trying to find a... I see a lot on this site have this problem when I did a search but I couldn't find one for my cell phone specific...

If someone has a link that would be great, as for the Australia of Toshiba are you guys wait, await you for window 9 before releasing updated... together driver on get your Bill pls... I don't think that everyone is still on the buggy windows 8...

Please release the updates for windows 8.1, if toshiba service station can bring well I guess you have on the Web site post it please...

    Thank you
    S4M :)

I m from Europe and I've updated my Win8.1 machine. all drivers Win8.1, tools and utilities are available on the European download page.
I m wondering really this Australian support page does not offer these updates.

Up to what you expect for updates try to visit Europe download page on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and check the updates for L50.-a.
I think it must be all the same.

    HP1000-1b10au

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about the choice of a Windows operating system for your laptop and wanted to help.

For the "best performance", you clearly have the right drivers - and the latest OS for which HP provides drivers for your laptop is Windows 8.  These same drivers would work in Win8.1.

If you choose Win10 instead, there is no HP drivers and you'd be stuck using the drivers provided by MS and provide only the most basic features.

Once you install Win8.1, then download and install this utility to prevent it to be updated to Win10: RCMP | Never10

    Good luck

  • Recommendation for the new graphic card for the Pavilion a1250n Office running windows xp service pack 3

trying to upgarde my pavilion a1250n computer of office for graphics card MSI r5450 radeon. After installation of the new card in the PCI express and turn on the machine, does not start, screen goes black and the fans to run at top speed. The card and the machine starts fine with the ATI radeon 200 exprees edge. I went into Device Manager and disabled the ATI radeon 200 adapter, and the system still wouldn't start with the new card. Went into the Bios at startup and changed the setting of the adapter PCI E, the slot where I put the card, and still won't work, even with the Bios and Device Manager changes I made.

New card right out of the box, could be bad, or perhaps not compatible with my system? If is not compatible, what would you recommend? Currently I am running windows XP SP3 and am looking for a card that can be upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. I know that the ATI integrated graphics card cannot be upgraded, so I'd appreciate some advice really.

    Thank you.
