Windows activation error
Hi all, I've had my laptop for two years with no problem and then all of a sudden today my desktop wallpaper becomes black and I keep the boxes pop up saying that I need to activate windows... Please help.
The main reason for a product key on COA sticker laptop computer will not activate if the correct version is installed as indicated on the sticker is incorrect characters are entered. Take a picture of the key telephone and make big jump then confirm twice each character.
If it fails again confirmed keyed, Admin, then open Command Prompt, type slui 4, press enter and follow the instructions for phone activation. Cases of rejection to stay on the line to explain to the officer that you do.

I activated my windows with my original OEM key and used for approximately 2 ~ 3 months works well
but, since yesterday, it tells me that windows is not activated with black screen

Laptop of HP ENVY TS 15: Factory Reset Windows Activation error 0xC004C003
I ran a reset using reset media factory I created using the "HP recovery media creation" and now windows will not activate. It gives the error "the activation server determined that the specified product key has been blocked.
Be as I have done a factory reset by using the media created by this computer I thought not activation would be a problem.

We have bought Windows Vista Ultimate Edition for my husbands custom desktop and installed fine. We had a House as the fire smoke and soot damaged all of our electronic and information technology. The CDs and the codes were very good and we are trying to continue to use the software and get the above error. How can I fix without buying new software?

My first post here, please do not kill me if I posted in the wrong topic...
I'm not computer illiterate, but I encountered a problem that left me speechless. I did a lot of reasearch looking around for a fix, and so far it seems I have a one-of-a-kind problem. Let me explain:
I've got ahold of a Toshiba Satellite L505-S59907 running Windows 7 64-bit. When I get it to the top, it's really up-to-date with some updates to do (including IE9 and SP1) and it has a few old virus on it. Not much, right? I get out the virus and get it updated. 1 update fails, and it is SP1. I had this problem before, so I clean out the cache update, and then try again. It fails. Try again, the only update fails on the left. SP1. Large. I do research, send the error report to Microsoft. They tell me to run my installation disk and repair the operating system. So I do.
It crosses without problem. I'm still all programs and files from my friends about it, and it's like a new installation. I have install all updates and SP1 goes in Nice and clean. Large. Then I noticed that the BONES nbss ' t enabled. All I can do now (I think) is to buy a new key, type in a different key (which I did not), or contact Toshiba (which opens the Microsoft Help content). I don't want to go buy another key when I have on the machine.
I also tried using the recovery partition, but it seems that the previous owner messed up somehow and it loads does ' t. I tried also completely wipe the drive (taking a picture) and re-setup fees, and I still have the same error code.
So my question is, can I fix it, or am I screwed out of my hundreds of dollars to get another key from Windows 7?
It's about the size of it - that the sticker is your license to run Windows and there is equivalent software in the media the manufacturer Recvoery - you must have at least one (preferably two) that runs Windows OEM legally.

Try to activate the windows through "phone Activation".
(a), press Windows key + X then click run, then type: slui.exe 4
(b) press the "ENTER" key
(c) select your "Country" in the list.
(d) choose the option "Activate phone" .
(e) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

Recently, there have been a rash of product keys for Windows 7 purchased from auction sites appear here as not authentic. They appear to be related to this HROnline HrOnline code: 0xC004C4A2. If you have purchased a key of a web site selling auctions (like eBay), please understand that the seller would have sold this product to several people key, causing the key more on the blacklist. Added note. You have only a limited amount of time (45 days I think) filing a claim with the auction sites. Stay away from these keys, if you purchased a key that has turned non-genuine and are within 45 days of purchase file a claim. There are publishers of legitimate software on auction sites, but if it sounds too good to be true then don't buy it.
Things to watch for.

To check your PID the Win Key Press and have a break at the same time or open system properties in Control Panel, scroll to the activation section and look at the PID. It will look something like this: 1234567-12345-067-54321. The part that you are interested in is the section to three figures. If it matches or is in one or two digits from the examples below, you probably have a "non-destinee for resale" MSDN subscription product key
Suspect: 065, 066, 067 068 for Windows 7 Ultimate edition, 220 area for the professional and the 230, 231 area for Home Premium. There are probably others, but they should be close to those posted.
