Windows adds copies of the files in a folder

When I want to select multiple files in a folder using Ctrl finally Windows begins to add copies of these files to the folder. How to stop this?

Hello

This problem normally occurs when there is a slight shift of mouse while holding down the Ctrl key.

Select the folders one by one and check.  You can release the Ctrl button after each selection. Check if you are able to copy in this way.

Hope this information helps.

  • Downloaded 4 fonts on my computer and all the files unpacked, but says I have to wait until Windows is finished with the files

I downloaded 4 fonts on my computer and all of the decompressed files. However, my computer telling me I have to wait until Windows is finished with the files. I made sure all Windows programs are disabled, but he still repeats the message. Why is it so?

    Hi Clarissa Tan.

    1. What is the complete message you receive?
    2. Which site did you download the fonts on the computer?

    Method 1

I suggest you to use the link below to download new fonts on the computer and check if it helps.

To add a new font to your computer

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/windows_fonts_addnew.mspx?mfr=true

    Download new fonts

    http://www.Microsoft.com/typography/fonts/

    Method 2

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you set up the computer in a clean boot state and try to install new fonts, check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

  • Research of Windows 8 is rubbish, cannot find the files in a folder

It makes me a little crazy.

I'm looking on a list of files in a folder - I enter a search string that matches one of the file names, and still win 8 search tells me 'no element doesn't match your search' which is total garbage that I can see the file in the folder.

I also noticed that as soon as I add a folder to the index, I can pick up is no longer the case! There where previously I would get some results, I then none after you add the file in the index list.

    What is going on!?!

How to get Windows 8 to search my files in a folder? Really, is it that hard? I don't even mean the content of the file, just the names of files, and still win 8 search does not always work.

Windows 7 search just worked! Why MS, why change?

So now, I have to just decide if it's worth to give B a different drive letter. But thanks for pointing me in a useful direction.

Probably not.  Someone else had a similar problem with a player that they had tagged A: and supposedly they tested using a different letter.  The problem was to search all access to this drive.

  • Use them command 'properties' in Windows Explorer to open the file

I get this error where, when I start Photoshop, I get a popup saying "can't load Photoshop because the file is locked or you do not have the necessary privileges...." "Use them command 'properties' in Windows Explorer to open the file. I have unlocked access to everyone for the 64-bit and 32-bit version still does not work. The only way to make it work is by going to Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 bit) and manually start as administrator.

Everything was working fine until today. Help, please!

If it worked before, and you have made any hardware or software changes, you can reset the preferences.

Start photoshop and hold IMMEDIATELY the Alt, Ctrl + Shift keys.  It is a little awkward, but keep trying until you get a window to reset.

  • I can not move the files to a folder in windows XP, only to copy them, and I get the windows error. This happens on any file or folder.

I use XP Pro SP 3 and I'm having a problem with moving the files from one folder to another, no matter where the folder or files. If I try to move a file, it crashes and it cannot be opened or used. If I move a folder, then crashes all the contents of the folder, and I can't even open the folder, it tells me access is denied, this nothing else. If I try to delete the file, then I get a prompt to error telling me that the file or folder is not accessible, and that access is denied and "make sure that the disk is not full or write protected." If I try to move the files corrupt in another folder, this time I get the message "Unable to move or replace" the file in question and "make sure that the disk is not full or write protected." If it is a document as a text file, then I can open the file and there is a prompt indicating that access is denied. I can then use the text document and save something, but if I close the document and then try to reopen it, all the changes are lost.
It is not this problem if I move the files to an external device or disk drive.
I am running as an administrator.
Right now, if I need to move a file, I copy it to its destination, which is possible and then delete the original file. With the help of a release program was the only way I could delete these files, which could no longer be used.

    Hello Closrapexa, welcome.

    1. do you have this problem started recently?

I recommend trying the system restore to bring the system back to a State before the problem started. Try this:
    1. click on START
    2. click on "all programs".
    3. click on "Accessories".
    4. click on "system tools."
    5. click on "system restore."
6 follow the prompts shown to restore your system to a date before the problem started. Although the system restore does not target the personal data, it is recommended that you back up all data such as music, photos and documents in case something is not bad.
    Let us know what happens

  • How to print all the files in a folder without having to open each one?

    Hello

Can someone tell me how to print all the files in a folder? I often need to print multiple files in a folder and it would allow me to save a lot of time!

    Thank you!

I've done some testing, and it seems that Windows 7 allows print several files when they are all the same type of file.  So, for example, you can select and print 15 Word documents, but not a Word document and a single PDF document.

To work around this limitation, you can print each file type separately.  For example, to print PDF files in a folder:

    1. Type *. PDF in the search for top-right box.
    2. For 1-15 files, press on CTRL + A to select all the.
    3. For 16 or more files, select 15 of them (click on the first, SHIFT + click the last).
    4. Click any file, and then click print .
    5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as needed.

If you open the correct versions of all the files in your session, you can use the file > export > Session and include the ability to save all of the associated files. You can name and set the location. When you open, he must only reference these files.

That is, assuming that this option was included in CS6 and I think that it was - have to turn on another machine to check if. If this option is not there, then you must do so via the operating system.
