Windows Calendar not to alert unless its opening

I am using vista home edition version 6.0. I have the option set to alert even if the calendar is not open, but it still does not work. I get alerts only when I open the calendar. Any suggestions? This is my rest 1 with vista problem.

Hello Goldylox,

Here is another suggestion

Go to control panel>Administrative Tools>Services
Make sure that Task Scheduler is set to Automatic and is began to.

If the above still does not solve your problem, I would recommend that you upgrade to Windows Live Mail. Windows Live Mail is a big improvement over Vista Windows Mail. It might help to solve your problem.

  • Windows is not stopped successfully when I open my laptop

I have an Acer laptop, Aspire, and for a while, he had a problem of a BSOD with an USB error because one of the USB ports broke some time ago and I'm too lazy or bad for repair. It happened maybe once a week, sometimes while the laptop was in hibernation (private). When it restarted, it gave me the stock screen "windows do not stop successfully, choose a safe mode or start normally. However, recently, it seems that whenever I open my laptop, it generates this error. I don't know what is the cause. I can't reproduce the error by putting the laptop into hibernation, only by closing it. I'm almost certain this isn't a hardware problem, as briefly close and reopen before she sleeps do not throw the error, so something is not get twisted when I close.

    Any ideas?

UH... Even if logged on as administrator, it throws the error "Access denied" when I try to interact with this administrative events somehow.

I run windows 7. Can't stand the feeling of 'mobile' on a laptop, so this isn't the issue. I'm comfortable editing the registry, I did so successfully before, but I guess this is not a fix for 7 is it?

EDIT: found the problem... After all it's hardware. The switch of the screen somehow had moved while he was sitting on the motherboard, when he gives the signal of hibernation, he bypassed the machine inadvertently. Sorry to bother, you and thank you for the quick response.

WSE has his own Defender. To have 2 defenders running will create conflicts.

  • WINDOWS CALENDAR DOES NOT WHEN THE COMPUTER TURNS

    Hi guys:

I'm having a problem with Windows Calendar. In the past, when I had an appointment for a date, the calendar would turn on automatically to remind me, as soon as I turned on my computer. Recently, this has changed. Now, I can always make an appointment, but if I'm not manually in calendar, it will not attract me, the way that it used to. Obviously the parameters have changed. I don't have any idea on how to solve this problem. Can you guys please help?

    Sincerely,

    Rachael

    Hi Rachel,

To do this, you'll want to schedule in your startup folder so that it works even when the computer starts.  Here's how.

    1. Press + R to view the race box.  Type : startup of the shell and click OK to open the startup folder.
    2. Open your menu start, find calendar and drag it into the startup folder.

You are finished.  Now, it runs automatically when you connect.

  • Windows live mail does not retrieve messages unless a restart occurs first. Why?

Window live mail will not recover messages unless I restart my pc. If I reboot and then open direct mail all right, but if I wait a few hours (perhaps a shorter time...) I do not know) and try to retrieve the messages it just hinders is when extracting them... I get no error message, it's just trying to get back the message without success. If I then reboot my pc, direct mail works (until next time).

    Any ideas?

    Hi Jerry,

    1. are you face issues only with Windows Live mail?

    2. were you able to access the mails before without any problem?

    3. did you of recent changes on the system?

  • Windows Vista won't allow me to open my files in its own window

I can't get Windows Vista change to allow me to open my files in their own windows. I was not able to do this since I bought this computer a few months ago. I thought I did something wrong, but I follow the directions to the T and it continues to open only the folders in the same window.  Y at - it something I'm doing wrong? I follow the directions for help and check open in its own window and yet it acts as if I do not change it... I apply and ok and press to apply to all the files and still nothing.

I don't know what are the instructions you followed, so here is a series of instructions on opening the windows, including how open each instance in its separate window: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/91587-open-folder-same-separate-new-window.html.  Read full article and follow ALL these instructions (there are parts you include in your post that are important to make it work - but then again you probably do not understand everything).

In the meantime, to open a specific folder in a new window, you can right click on the file and click on open rather than explore.  This will open the folder in a new window.  It's an extra step, but it is a workaround until you find the answer (if the above did not answer it).

    I hope this helps.

  • The Windows calendar reminder does not when used recidivism

    Hello

The recall of the Windows Calendar works if recurrence is not used. However, when I change the recurrence of the option "none" to "monthly" for example, recall alerts stops working.

I have Windows Vista Ultimate SP2.

    Thanks for your help.

    Tube T.

How you set the reminder on Windows Calendar?

When you set an appointment, in the right pane are the details of the appointment.
Have you, you use the drop-down menu that lets you choose when pressed?

Also, did you do a check for "reminders should show when Windows calendar is not working?
It is listed in the menu under file-> Options.

If you change the reminders of recurrence option to zero, close off Windows Calendar and then reopen and change each month.
keep - you it now your recurrence option?

Please answer back with an update.
