Windows cannot access removable disks.
I got a Sandisk Cruzer last Saturday, everything goes well, but today, during the transfer of a song, the sudden bar will not go, so I reject the flash drive, then this is the problem, the second time I plug my USB, it can open as usual, but when I try to delete a file inside, Explorer Windows become unresponsive After that, I can't read my Flash DRIVE more, I can't access, I can't format it, is there a solution for this problem?
Hello papermeh,
Sorry to hear that. You can't very well have a chance to get your data from your flash drive. If your flash drive is more than 4 GB, I would format it to NTFS to you will be limited on how much you can transfer at the same time, you will have no limit in the verses of format (NTFS) (FAT32 or FAT16). If your drive is less than 4 GB in FAT etc. format will do. Good luck.
Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

Error: Windows cannot access the disk.
I burned a dvd backup of certain data (downloads, bookmarks, photos etc.) files using windows drag and drop in the dvd player.
The burn has been successful I was able to use it immediately, however, on the second (and subsequent) attempts to access the files burnt a windows error appears indicating that windows cannot access the disk.
Like all other discs are able to be accessible to all without problems, there is no problem with dvd players?
Please let know us that it's the only backup I have these files.

Windows cannot access the disk
whenever I tried to insert a dvd disc the message "windows cannot access the disk" is shown in this dvd, there's some data. Whenever I check the properties, the size is displayed.
If the DVD does not work with other disks and other DVD works with current DVD player, then the problem is with the DVD itself.

I recently used my pc to sync my ipod, upgraded to Win 10 and now the pc does not recognize the ipod, it says that the ipod is corrupted. Can I use the ipod, and I can use it in my car via USB. Clearly, it's Windows 10. If I opened my file Explorer, then plug it in, I see pop up (the full name of it) and after 2 seconds, the screen to explore closes. Can anyone help or is it just being a fascist again Microsoft?

Go crazy... Windows cannot access NAS 8
Please can anyone help with suggestions.
Had a laptop with Vista, and last year set up a NAS (Western Digital My Book Live Duo 4 to,) and copied a lot of content about it.
Recently (because of the inevitable death of my old VIsta laptop) have bought beautiful shiny new Windows 8 portable...
All good except that I can't go now my SIN so impossible to get my content and now go crazy, as have trawled through the forums and help pages, and I have tried everything it suggested and Western Digital Support can not provide suggestions that work either, please a help appreciated;
In Explorer, the NAS appears as a media server and I can browse to the shares on the NAS files and view but I can't do anything more with the files...
Network, the NAS will appear, but if I try to click Top I get an error dialog that Windows cannot access \\Nasdrivename, the details of which give error 0 x 80070035 the network path was not found.
If I click on diagnose it says that it cannot find any problems
In Device Manager, the NAS is shown in its own group 'Western Digital NAS' and there are 2 entries displayed with the NAS DSN titled My Book Live Duo Network Storage - in both cases, he says "the device is functioning properly.
If I Ping the DSN correctly resolved the IP address, and I can access the NAS admin page and change settings etc ok, I just can't access the NAS to add/delete/edit files and content, I can map it as a disk, nor can I access directly using the address IP etc.
I shot all the firewall disabled/enabled, removed the device and reinstalled several times, connected wireless and Ethernet and their various combinations, but all without success.
So please please help!

· You use Internet Explorer? If so, what version are you using?
· What files you download?
Follow these methods.
Method 1: Performs a search using the Microsoft safety scanner.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Method 2: Follow these steps:
Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.
Startup options (including safe mode)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode
Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Hi Jemd3,
I suggest you to completely remove Norton of the system using Norton Removal Tool and check if the problem persists.

message error "windows cannot access the specified device path or file.
After updating all upgrades of Windows and restarting my computer, I get the error message "windows cannot access the specified device path or file" on all my programs. I tried to go to the 'system restore', but it won't let me access that is. I am running Windows XP on a Dell Vostro 400
Tried to start the restoration of the system from the Windows Advanced Options menu and he tried to restore from the last successful boot - unfortunately the last successful upward included the problem start
Restarted in safe mode and not run Chkdsk/r - no found error - problem persists.
Finally found my Dell operating system disk and went into the Boot Menu at startup screen and set it to Boot from the Dell operating system CD
After the CD started, I went to reinstall Windows, and he gave me an option for repair
The relocation process took about 30 minutes to complete, but he reinstalled all missing or damaged files that were the cause of the problem
Fixed a problem!
Thanks Mike - You're on the right track!

Hello
I have a problem with my computer it has been infected by a virus that is not visible in normal mode. It prevents running any application that would help in the detection and removal. I tried running mrt, mcaffe, trendmicro rootkit detector rootkit detector, spybotSD, analysis windows Defender online Windows live onecar. All these works for a minute and then shutsdown, when I click it again I get the error, as mentioned in the title, 'windows cannot access the specified device file or the path, you do not have permissions.
This problem has a solution or re - install is the only way out?
The pointers/help appreciated.
Just to add, I am able to connect using my last known good configuration and only safe mode configurations.
Thank you

Hey guys,.
I am running Vista on my laptop Toshiba P200D. Recently I was making an error whenever I try to open the files that I downloaded from the internet. The message I get is "windows cannot access the specified device path or file. you don't have the appropriate permissions to access the item "."
I tried,
- Safe mode (not to fix)
- (No luck) system restore
- check security options - I have full access to the file.
I am running Vista 32 bit. I have avast antivirus running, but is not working and im unable to uninstall it.
Any help will be accepted with gratitude,
Thanks in advance,
Chris.
PS I'm the system administrator.
I do not fashion without failure, I advised a SafeMode with networking for network access using a wired connection to download and install Anti-Malware programs.
If this does not work:
Download/save the removal of Avast on a friend's computer tool > transfer it using a Flash Player > uninstall the corrupt Avast.
Which can be the source of the problem.
As you can not turn it off:
If under warranty, contact the manufacturer of your laptop.
If this is not the case, take it to a reputable repair shop, computer room.

Hi I encounter an error message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You don't have appropriate permissions to access. »
The error message every time I click on administrative tools of the window (including the Control Panel, windows update, the Windows Explorer, etc.) but without impact on other programs I have.
I rebooted in safe mode and discover that everything works fine (no error message will appear when you click on window management tools).
I proceed to do a clean boot-> first disable all services of third parties (message yet to come), and then clear the components of the service windows (message yet to come)
I tried to type "explorer.exe" in the start menu-> search field then click right highlight to run with administrative rights, then received another message of error "Server execution failed".
I am the administrator account on this PC - and have full access.
The error seems to have appeared on 11 August after Windows Update the following:
Update of security for Microsoft Windows (KB2536276, 2556532 2559049, 2560656, 2563894, 2567680), and
Update for Microsoft Windows KB2563227
A security update for the Microsoft.net framework 4 client profile (verson 1)
There is no installation of any software or updates outside the windows update.
I also tried to restore the windows before August 10, 2011, but that did nothing.
As the error prevents me to access any object Admin window - I'm unable to retrieve the product ID and write to Microsoft Tech and ask for help.
I hope some of you can offer the suggestion of possible solutions (I really want to re - install window 7 and other software, I'm sure).
Thank you.
My solution works in about 2 minutes, it's a very weird error and only happened to 3 jobs in the last 3 years, this solution does not need to create another account if local administrator is active and allows access to the corrupt user documents ect.
Log in as the local administrator or a domain administrator
If the local administrator is not activated refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555910 and after completing these newspapers of steps on the local administrator account.
Locate the user for example files. C:\Users\[username]\
If you see no AppData press Alt to see the toolbar at the top of the window, select Tools > folder options, go to the view tab and select "Show hidden files, folders and drives" click OK.
Go to AppData\Local
Select all (Ctrl + a).
Delete
* Do not delete credentials (as it will remove their wallpaper) *.
This allows to release the error.
