  Hello, I'm trying to delete empty folders from my computer. I am running Windows 7 Professional, and my user account is an administrator and the user account only on the computer.

  When I use Windows Exlporer to navigate to the folder, it seems empty: "this folder is empty". But if I navigate back to the parent and then right-click on the folder and select properties it shows: "contains: 1 file, 0 folders" or for some records: "Contains: 2 files, 0 folders. Even when I run on the DIR of CMD file.

  I have hidden files and folders checked to display and I have checked that I am the owner of the folder.

  Any ideas?

  One more step. I found another option in Windows Explorer: "Hide protected files of the operating system (recommended)". Just in case where you need help to find this option:

  1. Open Windows Explorer
  2. If not display the menu (file, edition, view, tools, help) options, click ALT
  3. Click on tools
  4. Select folder options...
  5. Click the view tab
  6. Untick: Hide the protected files (recommended) operating system

  You can now see and search for files hidden, protected from the operating systems such as Thumbs.db.

  I use fast empty folder of http://listeningpc.com Finder to find and remove empty folders.

• can not download files via FTP with Windows 7. I have 7 professional 64 bit.

  I downloaded a free Mozilla ftp client, but still can't download. However, I can download. The file size is about 600 MB. I completely disabled the firewall of Windows 7. • Windows Update will not download files January 2016

  I am running Windows 7 and I am trying to download all updates from January 12, 2016.  The download does not start, sitting at 0% for more than half an hour. No error code is displayed. A laptop computer that I also use properly updated this morning. There is no problem with my internet connection.

  Windows Update displays: 23 updates, (Total of 0 KB, 0% complete).

  MagicISO should be good do the job. You don't have to worry about doing whatever it is bootable. When you create an ISO image for a bootable CD/DVD already all these things start will appear in the image.

  Using other browsers (chrome and firefox) I can click on a link that will download a file FTP on my macbook pro. In safari 9.1 however I get an "unknown error" (NSURLErrorDomain: - 1). The link that I use is ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/genenames/new/tsv/locus_groups/other_alt_loci. txt. I tested this link on other former Mac (safari 6) and the download of the works. I also emptied the history, the web of data, wiped the plists in ~/Library/Preferences associate with safari (IE "com.apple.Safari.plist", "com.apple.internetconfigpriv.plist" and "com.apple.internetconfig.plist") and deleted all the files under ~/Library/Safari but still no joy.

  Hi I have a problem with Windows Defender.

  When I use Internet Explorer to download files, they are automatically removed, and I get this message "_ contained a virus and was eliminated" this happens for all downloads including safe as downloads from Microsoft.com or home Web site.

  I tried to adjust my internet security options and settings of the firewall, and he did not make a difference.

  I want to uninstall defender to stop this problem but the Defender does not allow me access.

  WD which comes pre-installed in Windows 7 by default can not be uninstalled. It cannot be disabled/disabled. It usually turned off automatically during the installation of most AV/AS software (including the MSE) to avoid conflicts with two motors "real-time protection" running at the same time.

  The description that you have provided your computer is infected with the Sirefef 'new' variant looks as problems for MSE and Windows Defender.

  You may be seeing the effects of a course by the latest variant hijackware infection (new redesigned dropper) of Win32/Sirefef (aka ZeroAccess), which disables / triggered MSE and WD.

  You can download HitmanPro.Kickstart (v3.7.6.201) on a USB stick to clean/empty using another machine and then run it on the infected computer. Follow the instructions of the tool.
