  • keep losing internet connection on PC laptop of HP Pavilion g6

As above, I keep losing internet connection on PC laptop of HP Pavilion g6 and often have to go out to get it back. I had the laptop for over a year and have had this problem from day one. There is often no connection at all. I'll be on a a Bab beautiful site and then the next it just freezes. Sometimes clicking on dissconnect then reconnect will solve the problem. But most of the time that I have to turn it off, wait a few minutes and then restart your computer. It does not always if I have to do it again. As above, I have had this problem from day one. When I got it home it has no connection to be seen. I took it streight back to PC world, they passed it and connections were there. When I got home, turned on others were there, but not my own. After the market again was mine. After that, it was OK for a week or two, then I started having the problems that I have now. My son sitting about three feet from me on his laptop has no problems at all so I know that it is the laptop and not my router. My wife, my son and my phone are also on the internet through the router when it fires. Now and then it will be OK for a few days, but most of the time it turns off several times a day. It's a good pain as each else with the laptop is great.

  • My driver support does not work all the time, won't let me connect, keeps losing internet connection.

    * Original title: SUPPORT of the PILOTS LOSE INTERNET.

My driver support does not work all the time, won't let me connect, keeps losing internet connection.

What do you mean by "driver support?

If you have installed one of these offers of support software driver, you have installed malware.  The vast majority of them no useful software and installing a lot of malware on your computer.

The drivers are not the soft thing you should normally be updated.  I recommend the updated drivers only in the case of a problem that has to solve, and it's rare.

Is the ONLY source, you should consider for driver updates or OEM support site.  Even those who sometimes go way overboard in trying to update the drivers.  The latest Dell systems are equipped with updated software that checks for new updates every day.   In most cases, drivers are rarely updated after the first year of a product.

  • Windows 7 keeps losing internet connection?

OK, so, since yesterday, I noticed my internet connection went on vacation, so I'm not used: unplug the modem and router for 30 seconds. (Or more). However, this occurred about 3 times in the same hour. It worked so well for the rest of the day. Now, today, happened about six times. What I notice is that it does not set itself when I unplug, but every time there is a new problem.

There was a "DNS server is not responding" one who came 3 times however.

But at the time it happened.

I'm not a person tech or all what you call them.

So, naturally I don't understand what all this means. What is the DNS server?
What does all this in the middle of the screen capture?

And how can I stop losing the internet connection?

    Hi, Freddy.

Method 1: Manually assign the IP address and the default gateway and check if it works very well.

Before assigning the IP address and the default gateway, make a note of the IP address of the computer. To do this open command prompt, type ipconfig and press to enter. This displays the IP address, make a note of it.

To manually assign the IP address and default gateway, follow these steps:

    a. in the system, right click on network icon tray. Choose Open network and sharing Center.

    b. right-click on Local area connection and click Properties.

    c. double-clickProtocol Internet Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and assign the IP address manually.

Example: Old Ip address is 192.168.0.1
    Replace the IP 192.168.0.50

    d. that the subnet mask and default gateway are the same.

    Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0

Gateway by default, would usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

    e. click apply then click Ok and restart the computer and check if it helps to solve the problem.

Method 2: Temporarily disabling the firewall on your computer and check if it makes a difference.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Note: You should not turn off Windows Firewall unless you have another firewall is enabled. Turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

    • I move to a different location around the House
    • Another computer is turned on
    • I just returned from a sleep mode

Why is this? Because of the router?

    Hello

Your router could be suspicious here, you have successfully updated its firmware as a possible solution? And
I would update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router?
Are there obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver-
Note the version - click on update driver (can't do anything as MS is far behind certifying)
drivers). Then right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver
    stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Windows 7 - NO INTERNET CONNECTION - connectivity continues to lose!

WIndows 7 says that it allows internet connectivity easier and better.  So why it keep the loss of internet connectivity and need me to restart my router and the computer to get it back.

At worst, this happens a few times per hour, at least once per night.

As a result of some other positions, I created an IP (rather than letting the automatic form).  I disabled the server Hello DNS in the Services, but still the warning triangle appears and identifies my network but said 'no internet '.

The router has been replaced by my service provider and the problem still persists.

I can access the internet via my router with other devices when my PC at home with wired connection says no internet connection, which proves that the router is ok.

Troubleshooter also can't find anything wrong.

Nobody knows how to solve this problem, because Microsoft will help only if I pay a lot of money and DEll (who sold me the computer) do not care even if the computer is only 4 months old!

  • questions of google chrome windows 7 PC internet connection tech support

So basically for now, I need some serious tech support. I knew enough to power a computer for regular use, but now I need to know a little more.

I'm working on a pretty nice software that probably has not been treated well for about a month so its starting to develop some small bugs. I intend to use this laptop for more things in general so it needs work better.
I ran some scans norton (but my norton is literally about to expire so I need something safe for my computer out of Cnet maybe? it's free)
I ran a quick defrag and I have Ccleaner and know what it does, so I ran too. I have not just be completely shut down the computer, I don't even have a back upward in car big enough for my computer or anywhere to put it if I had a. Im doing the laptop on the lap a lot which means no doubt that fans do not get enough air.
There is a laptop stand that had fans, but fans broke and its just bulky right now so I'm just trying to protect the screen and not get any fluid on the keyboard. Also, there is just no office about so its that or directly on a mattress that is worse.
(Also I keep multitasking for many, even for an upscaled laptop with windows 7 and the changes to make it work well.) His breaking our internet connection wifi is not totally reliable here and all I can do, is disconnect the boxes and wait but its such a nuisance that I can't do it too)
Any help you can offer would be great!

    Hello

I suggest you to start the computer in a clean boot state. Clean boot helps eliminate any conflict of third party software.

Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 3, mentioned in the article to start the computer to a normal startup.

If you use WIFI put a check mark next to it and let the service when you disable startup items.

For the safety of your computer, you can download and install Microsoft Security essential, which is a free anti-virus program.

Here is an article on wireless connection problems and wireless network. Take a look and check.

Use a wired connection to download the latest drivers or download on another computer

Control Panel - device - networks - WiFi - Manager write down of the brand and model, and then double-click

that MS is far behind the drivers of certification). Then make a right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer and search for updated drivers, this will be your fallback. Then go to the Site of the manufacturer of the device

    Hey Kevin,

To clarify, we have not heard of this I didn't think (I am curious as well), did this start happening when you upgraded the computers?

Its sounds like it from what I've read, and also you can generate by activating and deactivating the FW on request, but this didn't happen until you have changed the PC SW?

If it does, then, looks like soemthing SW PC made and maybe you can endure a wireshark trace and try to sniff which continues when the PC tries to access the internet.   I'm not asking to review track, only that it can help you.    If you feel like it is a defect of the Cisco product, you can open a folder with the Small Business Support Center and they will watch the track with you.

  • After an update of Windows (XP), my internet connection hangs up

Earlier this summer after letting one of my netbook computers have a "update" for Windows my connection switched to internet hangs up.  I don't have to troubleshoot it at the time because I got another XP netbook that had not been updated and it continued to work.  Unfortunately the next time I had a connection high speed available let him update this netbook also, and now it crashes on the dial-up connection.  In both cases, I use the same modem.  I connected the modem to a Windows 7 computer and he composed and connects to the internet and works very well.  It's something to do with the Windows updates for XP netbooks.  Is there a known issue with this?

... I am a little concerned about any specific questions about my internet security

You should be concerned!  McAfee (and Norton) applications are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself.

Note: The following assumes that none of your McAfee subscriptions (or free trial period) have already expired...

    3. physically disconnect the computer from the internet and local networks.

4 uninstall McAfee Internet Security via Add/Remove Programs & reboot.

5 IMPORTANT! => Make absolutely certain that the Windows Firewall is enabled (Yes, even if you are not connected to the internet).

    6. double-click on the file that you saved in #1 above to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then reboot again.

7 to reconnect your computer to the internet. Do NOTHING else online until you have completed ALL the steps below!

    8. do a clean install of Norton Internet Security using your CD.  If you purchased the software directly from McAfee, go to https://home.mcafee.com/Secure/Protected/Login.aspx to connect and download your software.  FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS!
