Windows live essentials does not, various problems. Need experienced advice.

Good then it started yesterday, I tried to connect to msn, and he says

"d1d2.dll not found" or something similar to that

I then uninstalled messenger and then tried to re install, he said I had to get a "platform update.

my computer says that I had managed to install update "KB2434419.

However once I installed messenger it says the same thing not found d1d2.dll try re install.

When I try to re install it tells me to get the same exact platform update as before, except when I try this time, it gives the error code "80280006".

I have downloaded and paid for a uniblue registry Fixer and disabled my firewall and everything but nothing seems to work.

All I want is to use msn again on my computer.

Any help is appreciated.

When I get the Live ID to submit a case on the support of Live ID site I get an error.  To clarify, errors are associated with the Live ID and come from Microsoft, it is not my PC that produces errors.

I tried calling and e-mailing for the support to unsuccessfully (was returned to the site, which generates an error when I enter this Live ID, which means that I have no way to submit this problem in the right group - Live ID team)... What can I do to fix this problem?

He's trying, 'Start-up', but then a box will appear which says "Windows Live Mail has stopped working" and then goes on to say that we are looking for a solution, nothing. "A problem with the program to open correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"then nothing. No code, no help, zero.

  • Window Live Mail does not open the wmv files.

Window Live Mail does not open the wmv files.  It comes up with an error that says: (wrong parameters).  Also gives the path that looks all wrong.  How can I change these settings?

If I save the wmv on my desktop it will open, so I think that the file association is OK.

    1. download and save the attachment to the office.
    2. right click on the saved file.
    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
    5. Select: Windows Media Player.
    6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
    7. click on OK.

  • Windows live mail does not connect to internet

Windows live mail does not connect to the internet, keeps telling me that I'm working in offline mode, and then does not connect when there is a link.

Try to check the setting of Internet Explorer offline.  It just open IE, press alt to display the menu bar, then click on file and make sure that 'Work offline' at the bottom is not checked.

Also just good habit, make sure that you are on the latest version of the application by downloading the package at http://get.live.com.

  • Windows Live Essentials is not kept up-to-date, the installation or uninstallation.

I went to Windows Live Messenger, and he told me that I had to update before using, but it will not be updated, nor will uninstall the old version so I can just install it all over again. I tried to put to day, and even though I closed all other programs, he said "Please close these programs" and listed ' Windows Live Messenger '. I told the installer to continue anyway, and installed 100% before falling back to 0% quickly and say "could access the location %APPDATA%\ network." "and" she looks like a different program prevents the installation of work program, hr:0 x 80070643 "I'm not sure if the 'another program' has something to do with the 'Windows Live Messenger' who was supposed to be a program open, even if I left out of it? Anyway I tried several solutions, which turn my firewall Windows, but nothing does. Help, please.

I also tried to install Windows Live Essentials, and he had a similar problem. However, when I went to programs and features to uninstall any previous version of Windows Live, he listed "Windows Live Essentials" as having been installed yesterday - though I can't find anywhere in the files on my computer, and I can't uninstall it.

  • my windows live messenger does not work. HELP__its been like this for months now!

Hello so I tried to understand what is the problem with my msn, but I can't understand it!
whenever I am trying to connect, he said: "we cannot connect to Windows Live Messenger, signing windows live messenger failed because the service is temporill unavailable, please try again later.
    the "error code" is: 8e5e05f6

but the thing is if one of my friends try to to connect to my computer (using the same msn just for their account) it works! Help?

and also when I try to look for it in my uninstall programs, my computer can not find what it... as there is no! but when I try to install a new msn from the internet it is said that I installed everything already! so please help! its driving me crazyyyyy!

What WLM version do you use?  I think the latest version is Version 2009 (Build 14.0. 8009 7. 26)

Windows Live Messenger will appear in programs and features in Windows Live Essentials, you click on it and follow the instructions in the wizard.

If that's the problem with just your user login then that may need to be set at the end of the Server supported by WLM, or you can create a new Net Passport for yourself.

I have error 8e5e05f6 of code for the new msn live messenger. Today's date is March 21, 2009. I need help! Anyone?

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  Try first by checking do not each box (that it will run in read-only mode) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If so, restart it by checking both boxes and restart to allow him to attempt to fix any problems found.

  • Windows Live Mail does not present as an option for default programs or in the Start Menu.

Something happened this week. I can't identify enough exactly when so I can't say with certainty whether or not it is the new update of 2011.

I use Windows Live Mail (desktop application) for the mail. It is installed and since I built the machine first. I've recently updated for 2011 through Windows Update. In the Start Menu, the default e-mail link no longer works. If I go to customize, I have the options of Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, and Outlook. If I select Windows Live Mail, it launches a web browser to go to live.com and use Hotmail (which I don't use).

Now, if I choose Windows Mail, and then re - open Windows Live Mail manually, I can set it by default. In this case, when I go back into the Start Menu, the link is there but empty and you get a message that "the selected item is not available. It might have been moved, renamed, or deleted. You want to remove from the list? "I can't get around that. Under "Default programs" in the Control Panel, Windows Live Mail is not yet there. It's as if she is not yet installed, and whatever the shortcut points to (wherever it may be) is apparently nothing. In the registry, under HKLM/Software/customers/Mail, there is no key for 'DLLPath' and "LocalizedString" as there are other programs.

I must point out that repair installation does not help and neither does file and reinstalling.

I managed to solve the problem.  I received an email from another user and I'm sorry to say, I do not remember what were the instructions in the email.  The answer to (y) our problem used to exist on the web, until Microsoft has removed the old answers live site, or something like that.

IIRC, I believe that it was fixing the misdirected registry keys.
