• Tecra M1 & Windows Live Messenger problem

  The only running two process was Tmeejme.exe, and after the problem has been resolved.

  The version I have installed, as described in Add/Remove Programs, is Toshiba Mobile Extension3 for Windows XP V3.36.00 XP. Anyone know if this problem with the new Messenger been reported before and is at - it a hotfix or an update?

  However, on the Toshiba site I founded a newer version of Toshiba Mobile Extension version 3.84.00.
  But that's why you should look for the Tecra S4.

• Installing Windows Live Messenger problem (hr:0x8104000d)

  Yesterday I installed my Windows 7 Home Premium OS using the costum install because I wanted to whipe clean my Dell Inspiron 1440 laptop. And everything works so far, except that I can't install Windows Live Messenger.

  I tried to download the installer from explore.live.com essentials, microsoft.com and by using the Windows Update, but it does not install. I looked and tried to run the Windows Live installer about 6 times. And it's always the same thing. About 98% is to install the Windows Live Call, and when it reaches 100%, it cancels.

  I also tried to download the Msn Messenger 7.0 and tries to update the software. For the record, I can't even use the Msn Messenger 7.0 because it says I need to update. And I can't update it because apparently I am not connected to .NET Messenger Service. I tried to test the connection, and it has failed due to an error of invalid character script. After that, I checked the advanced settings and ran tests; My TCP and HTTP Proxy connection works.

  I am currently using Kaspersky Internet Security and I even checked to see if the firewall was blocking it, but the installation of Windows Live is considered a trusted software. I even tried to disable my firewall to see if it makes a difference. No luck so far.

  The error that says:
  Check that you are connected to the Internet. You cannot download Windows Live programs unless you are connected to the Internet. HR:0x8104000d

  I honestly do not understand. I am currently connected through a LAN network with an ethernet cable, but I also tried to unplug and connect to the internet via the WAN.

  The only cause of this problem that comes to mind, it is that I had to uninstall the Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility utility before I could uninstall Windows 7. But I have already run all Windows updates. Not that it makes all the difference because I was already connected to the internet.

  Any ideas on how to fix it?

  UH well Windows Vista OS came with my laptop and I have improved with the installation of costum (new installation) to set up my Windows 7 operating system. If everything has been wiped clean. Obviously for this reason that I don't have windows live messenger installed. If I had simply updated the operating system, all my files are remained intact. My Windows 7 operating system is 64-bit, and yes it is compatible with my computer. As I said above, everything else seems to work.

  As for Kaspersky Internet Security, it is supported by Win7 64 bit.

  A Norton Internet Security trial came pre-installed with my laptop, but I removed this month there are using a Norton removal tool. Not that it matters now, since I wiped clean my drive hard when I installed Windows 7.

  And as for the older versions of Windows Live Messenger, I think I mentioned on my first thread I knew that they did not work. Still, trying to update an older version seemed to be a good idea since I kept not install it. However, which also did not work.

  Anyway, thanks for clarifying your first answer. I'll post this same thread on the discussion Forum to see if anyone there can inspire some light in my situation.

• Vista - Windows Live Update problem

  I have a problem installing the components of Windows Live Essentials.  I managed to install by email.  Now, I try to add a few other components.  I get a window saying: "We must take care of some things first" - "install Windows Platform Update.  I thought I already did.  In any case, I click on the link 'get Windows Platform Update' and am presented with instructions that tell me to go run "Windows Updates" and view the updates available.  Because I am running Windows Vista, he said I should run "Update platform for Windows Vista (KB971644)".  However, there is no update platform listed at all.

  I had problem upgrading to the new Windows Live Messenger. So, I completely uninstalled messenger.

  I have Windows Live Mail 2011 with system opus W-7.  Recently I started having problems.  Sometimes it opens or not if I closed it, it won't open again until I restart the computer.  Other problems it will be open, but no msg appears.  Guard saying "try again", finally the login page if poster even if I saved the sign-in automatically opens.  I try that, but it will not respond.  Restart eventually will allow me to open it without problem.

  Is there a way to get WLM to repair:

  1. Start the globe
  2. Control Panel
  3. Uninstall a program
  4. Find Windows Live Essentials in the list - probably the last element
  5. Click on the button uninstall
  6. It will offer the option to repair.

  You are using the right version (2011).  2012 version has bugs.

  If the above does not resolve the problem, you can uninstall Windows Live essentials.  Then reinstall it.  It will not cause any loss of data or settings, at least not normally.  You can find good download here: http://g.live.com/1rewlive4-all/en/wlsetup-all.exe

  Go into Windows Mail and WLM 2011 > click Open the same account > properties > Advanced tab > Deliver section, check the box 'Keep a copy of messages on the server' > OK when finished.

  In case you are not yet familiar with WLM 2011, here's how to go to your account...

  Click on the blue button at the top left > Options > e-mail accounts > (you can take it from there)

  P.S., Make sure you do the same setting on the TWO e-mail clients.
