  If you are talking about windows live mail (e-mail client), it is alive and well in winning 10.  Generally migrate data seamlessly, but if you value your data backup.  On the back you just copy the folder 'store' in a different partition or HD.  If you are interested we can give you instructions

  Hi there, my Windows Live Mail that I used for years has left work yesterday.  I tried to sync it with my hotmail account and it wouldn't work.  Then I tried to delete more spam in my account, only to get an error message saying: "an unknown error has occurred."  And I went on hotmail.com and actually signed in my email deleted messages, and direct mail does not reflect that.  It will allow me to download, but will not let me write emails or send anything or the other.  What is gong on?  I tried to uninstall and re install the program and that has not worked.  How can I get help?  Thank you

  You must go to Tools/Options/Playback tab.

  Remove the check mark to read all text messages crude option.

• Lost all calendar entry after update of Skype Windows Live Mail

  A few days passed I updated Skype and had to reset my password in my Windows Live Mail a/c and have now discovered that I lost all my info, I walked into my calendar. This can be restored?

  I am using Windows 7 on my laptop and my email is Windows Live Mail.  I use the calendar with Windows Live Mail.  I would use this calendar on my Dell Streak 7 Tablet instead of keeping two different calendars.  Is it possible or can suggest you something easy to do for me (I'm old).  I get my email on

  Your Tablet works with Windows?  Windows Live Mail is for Windows computers.  If the Tablet is using Android as do most non-Apple tablets, you cannot use Windows Live Mail.  There are a lot of calendars Android you can use however.

  Error sending message to newsgroup to an email address only.  Sending regular e-mail and you reply to newsgroup messages work very well.

  I played arround with it and managed to make it work.  Seems that something was not converted correctly when it updated since Windows Mail uas is in the discussion group, or the mail option settings.

  I am very happy with the new Windows Live Mail program, just that all the changes make it difficult to get used to us ctizens main.  I have a hard time when I help other seniors in our community of UPS mobile home when we snowbird when they update because of the way Microsoft seems to change completely all around instead of letting things same and simple adding improvements.

  I'm afraid that if I upgrade the form Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail, I will lose all e-mail addresses in my address book current as well as the information contained in the files - models etc.

  If you install WLMail on your XP machine, it has to import messages and addresses automatically and nothing will be lost of OE.

  Go to the folder where all "libraries" are and make sure you are showing all records - there should be the my documents, Favorites, etc., but it must be marked "appdata".  From there, go to "local", "Microsoft", "Windows Live Mail" and there are all the accounts and records of storage of Windows live mail - you can drag and drop them to a flash drive, DVD, CD, or other external media you have.

  No 'extra' required backup program!  It's almost the same as the old path of Outlook Express, you have just to make sure that the "AppData" folder is visible, but it should be easy to display.

  I have to click stop to do and download.
