Windows Live Mail, repeatedly asking username and password on behalf of Btinternet

Windows Live Mail (Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3508.0205) with Windows 7 Professional SP1) is once more throw up repeated requests for user name and password for my btinternet account.  I have not changed my password for this account and you can always use it to access my BT Yahoo mail online.

I tried to go into the details of this account in Windows Live Mail, but it has not solved the problem.

I repeatedly get the error message is:

Can't send or receive messages for the Btinternet account (a.skrimshire123). An incorrect password was entered. The next time that you send or receive messages, you will be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server error: 0x800CCC90
Server response:-ERR [AUTH] (#MBR1236)
Server: 'mail.btinternet.com '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure (SSL): No.

Thank you very much for the quick response!  but in fact, after my simply going back to try again the problem seems to have resolved itself, without apparent reason, and send/receive in Live Mail now works perfectly!   So I suspect rather a glitch of BT - they seem to have them at the moment, perhaps due to the passage above BT-Yahoo mail BT pending

However, I bookmarked these links for the future, because they could be very useful as the switch to BT on the product - even if your second link, following the plu "Configuring email BT on an e-mail client" link and enter my email as requested on the 'Help with your email' page, I found that my address @btinternet.com has been rejected twice as not being not not a BT address!  So I think it's quite revealing of BT State efficiency for the moment...

Anyway thanks a lot for your answer.

  • Windows Live Mail 2012 request username and password

Windows Live Mail 2012 never asked me user and password because it has been installed. After trying to send a photo from my Canon camera software after I had downloaded the images from the camera, asked for the username and password. Joined those from Microsoft. E-mail does not; It is in the Outbox. Choose the icon on desktop for Windows Live Mail 2012 and all contacts are gone. Email arrives, but can not send email. Need problem solved.

If you try to use the Windows function send to > message recipient to send an image, you must be logged into Windows Live Mail. There is a bug in the program.

When you are connected, you will see the contacts that belong to the Microsoft Account sign in to help. These are the same ones you see at http://people.live.com so sign here with the same account. If you are not signed in, you will see the default contacts list. There is no link between these different sets of contacts.

To avoid the bug, start by opening a message compose window in Windows Live Mail (for example by pressing Ctrl-N), and then apply a Insert > single photo to insert an image or images in the body of your message, or attach a file to send in the form of attachments.

If you are not able to send messages, please remove any message not sent from the Outbox, then compose a simple message, try again with a single topic and send it to yourself. Send the error message in your response.

How to connect Windows Live mail if I forgot my password?  I get an error message and I can't connect to using all of the passwords, I think that I have EVER used in the past with no luck?

  • Windows Live Mail keeps asking for password

I have Windows 7 and LiveMail 2011.   My email was working fine this morning and now all of a sudden it kept asking for my password. I contacted Verizon. I changed the password and it works very well on Verizon webmail, but I can not yet send email from LiveMail.

    Here's what he said:
The connection to the server has failed.
    Subject 'test '.
    Server: 'smtp.verizon.net '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 587
    Secure (SSL): Yes
    Socket error: 10060

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

After the case with three officers and deal with 6 hours, the last officer concluded that the problem was on THEIR side! Turns out that I could not yet send an email from Verizon webmail either.

I don't know what they were doing on their side, but I can finally send emails!

  • When I open Windows Live Mail he asks me to sign in every time. I want to connect automatically.

    original title: Windows Live Mail

When I open Windows Live Mail a pop up appears asking me to sign in to Windows Live Mail.  I don't want to do and would like to stop the appearance of the application.  I'm perfectly happy using Live Mail for my mail, but don't want or don't need any interaction with other Windows Live services. How can I stop this request appearing as it's quite boring?

To use Windows Live Mail and this Web site, you need a Windows Live ID, and looking for the password ID to get your email address. The information and click "save my password". You can remove an account, if you do not want to get the emails of her by clicking on the blue box which opens a few choices. Choose options > accounts, find the account and delete it. Use another program such as Mozilla Thunderbird and set up accounts if you want Live Mail does not support the account you want to use.

    I hope this helps!

Ess.phoenixunion.orginstead, try www.phoenixunion.org. If this does not work then you must contact the webmaster of the school. You can also try another browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome).

  • 0x800CCC17 error number. Can not get into Windows Mail. System username and password issues

No detail of password change is obvious, so no access.  Just looks like a mistake.

Sometimes, that is.  Try to delete the account, and then compact and repair the database (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/), and then add the account back again.

  • Why do I have an account Hotmail and Windows Live Mail? What is the difference?

Some time ago I had a problem getting into my Hotmail account when a transaction has been by Microsoft.  It did not recognize my passwords and told me I tried too many times to do so I plugged the support staff who said that I only had not provided them with enough information to reopen my account and they told me to open a new.  I did it.  Then I found a Windows Live Mail account on my computer that had my old Hotmail top messages.  I didn't open this account and it don't did me not a password, when I saw the icon and clicked it open.  Now, I had this account which was again Hotmail messages sent to my old account but name to send e-mail messages, I got to use my new account.  I was confused, but agree with that.  Now, however, the Windows Live Mail is asking for a password and I have the same problem I had before.
