having a windows live mail error in Server outgoing so it will not load email

It is a "thing" for Microsoft. Try these steps that may solve the problem.

1. open Windows Mail, select the Tools menu and then click accounts.

2. Select your e-mail bellsouth.net under mail account, and then click the Properties button.

3. in the Properties window, select the servers tab and check the box my server requires authentication , under outgoing mail server.  Then click on the settings box.

4. in the window of the outgoing mail server , select use same settings as my incoming mail server and click the OK button.

5. in the Properties window, click the Advanced tab.  Change the port of mail outgoing (SMTP) from 25 to 587.

  1. Click applyand then click on the OK button.
  2. Click close in the window Internet accounts.

    Where it says 'Server', SMTP must be smtp. Make the corrections in your account settings.

    Two weeks ago my Windows 7 Live Email simply stopped sending mail.  I know all about Port 25 questions and change the settings in 587.  I spent two hours in an online chat with a Comcast technician and we never had it going.  The tech said that 586 and 587 are Comcast port settings.  I've done this many times, including various SPA and SSL settings, but nothing works.  I have to go to Comcast Webmail to send anything.  I'm totally baffled, because I tried dozens of suggestions of settings all over the web, including Comcast itself, and nothing works.
