Movie Maker has been designed to download from mini-DV cameras
connected with FireWire... (they record at small cassettes... not
flash drives)The best would be to download the video files in a folder on your
hard drive... convert the WMV movie format and then import
in Movie Maker. If you connect the camera via a cable USB and go to... My computer...
It should be recognized as a drive. If it's... you can download it from
there by copy and paste or drag and drop.Good luck...

This happens when the former projects include transitions and effects which are
not included with Windows Live Movie Maker.Best bet IMHO... create new projects, or install earlier versions of Movie Maker.

Files in duplicate locations and Windows Live Movie Maker is not opening
I think that I dragged accidentally the document library tab in the Video Library tab (in the tab on the left menu). My docs & files are now both. If I delete one, it removes both. If I create a new, it does so in both. How to cancel this please?
In addition, at the same time, Windows Live Movie Maker no longer opens.
Libraries actually do hold all the files or folders, they combine their in a view for easy navigation. For example, my video library shows all the videos of three different hard disks, my roommate's computer records. But I can see all the videos in one view combined with the library.
To change the folders that appear inside a library, just right-click on the name of the library and choose Properties. Who let you out your video library documents. In regards to the Movie Maker, it gives you an error message? -

Is ther a cable that will allow me to connect my FireWire to the computer in the small USB connection on the camera? Can I get a cable adopter? Help, please. Is there any good software that will pick up my camera Via USB and allow me to edit the video and sound?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
