  I have the (average) parental control added to the user account from my daughter.  I can't get windows live sync to work using my daughter's account.  I can only access it using my user account.  No idea what I can do to run under my daughter's account.

  Check if Internet Explorer is configured to use proxy server to the account you have set up Parental controls.

  1 open Internet Explorer, click on tools, Internet Options

  2. on the Connections tab, find the LAN settings.

  3. click on automatically detect settings.

  I also suggest that you create a new account (Standard) of the user and configure parental control even and check if you can access Windows Live sync on the account just to test if this could be caused by parental control.

• Live Sync Duplication issues

  Whenever our portable backup has been offline of Windows Live Sync for a long time and connect us to our Windows Live Sync account on the laptop to backup, it will copy the old files to all of our other computers that have been deleted, as portable backup has been put online.  It creates a mess of duplicate files.  How to solve this?  Why isn't Windows Live Sync just delete the old files of our laptop backup once it is online and connected to Windows Live Sync?

• Windows Live Movie Maker Music Sync problem

  I use Windows Live Movie Maker on Vista.  I think I'm having a problem syncing music with photos.  I have a slideshow that I add music. Finally, I want to make a DVD. No problem initially adding pieces to the photo show.   When I start at the beginning of a song it works OK.  When I start towards the end of a song, however, there is no sound.  In addition, sometimes the songs are shortened.  Any suggestions?

  A few weeks ago Microsoft added support for Exchange ActiveSync to Hotmail. This means that you can now access your Hotmail account as an Exchange account, giving you full two-way e-mail, contact and calendar sync.

  Update or create your e-mail account using "manual configuration" and specify the type of account as Exchange (EAS) and use the following settings:

  Server: m.hotmail.com

  Domain: leave blank

  Username and password is your email address and password.

  It works wonders on the pre.
