Thanks in advance for your kindness.
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,.

To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

1. what exactly does the type of computer not in order to solve the problem?

2 he or she perform the upgrade on the spot or a custom Windows installation?

Meanwhile, you can find the default location of Windows Mail and check if all files are present in the place.

The default location for Windows Mail in Windows Vista is:

C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe

If the type of computer has upgraded the on-site, the Windows Mail folder must be present in the folder Windows.old

Hope this information is useful. Reply with more information about the issue so that we can help you better.

    Hi goodmema13,

    (1) did you check with other applications if printing is displayed as expected?

    (2) how exactly you want to print?

Problem could be linked to the layout and settings; You can follow the steps mentioned below:

    (a) open your Email in a new window

    (b) if the images are cut off the coast, click on "File-> Print Preview", and in the toolbar, set "scale:" to "Shrink to fit", if a different setting is displayed.

    (c) if the part of the text is cut off, try setting "scale:" 100% in print preview mode.

    (d) in addition, make sure that it is set to the right paper size.

  • How can a computer breakdown, I get my Windows Mail files?

I was under the impression that by moving files from my server to the local folder all my emails have been saved on my hard drive. However, my hard drive crashed and I had to use data recovery to recover my files. Now I can not find the windows mail files. A tech guy told me that all my emails were actually only saved on the application not on my computer, is it true? You export the files in order to save messages? How do you do that?

    Thank you!

    Amanda

    The default location is;
    "C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail".

If you used a customer web email msgs are stored on the web messaging server, if you used windows mail applications they are saved on the disk, your tech is not very tech.

PS This is not a backup

  • Have a virus/malware and cannot open windows mail and how export/copy the measages

I should have gotten a virus/malware/trojan, which affects the connection and does not allow me to open the control panel, or windows mail.

I need to know how to copy/backup/export the e-mail messages that are still there. Of course, I can't use the export function since I can't open windows mail.

    Hello

    • You receive an error message when opening Control Panel or Windows mail?
    • What were the changes made before the issue occur?

    You can view these methods:

    Method 1:

I suggest you make a system full scan just to be sure and check.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note:
The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
    Method 2:
    NOTE:
Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.
You might try the following and see if it helps to get Windows Mail open.
You can delete all entries in the registry for Windows Mail. The junk e-mail filter information have been corrupted.

    a. Click Start, in the search box, type regedit. Then choose continue to leave and then read the help file.

    b. then highlight this registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail
right-click and choose export to back it up. You can save it to your desktop. It will save the key as a measure of protection.

    c. make sure that Windows Mail is closed and right click on the key again, and then choose Remove.
    d. then try to start Windows Mail and see if it is now open.
  • Unable to access file and folders on the computer after you connect to a home network. Get isn't permissions error message.

Original title: unlock files locked in the residential-change group of security settings does not (always says that I don't have permission even if I am Admin)

I have a Windows 7 operating system. I am new to congregate.  I recently noticed that I was connected to a House Group 'network' and so I 'locked' cases to the case where I me be hacked (that I don't use other computers and thought it was strange).  Unfortunately, now that I want to access these files, it says I don't have permission and when I sometimes IN a folder, by allowing permissions administrator in the Security tab, I'm still stuck to see the documents by an error saying that I don't have permission.  I was rid of the congregate at a given moment, then 'active' it again with the idea that I should probably be in home group to make changes to the way they were.  I know that I blew it, but I don't know how to fix it!  Please help me to unlock these files!  I normally log - on as an administrator (no one else assigned to the computer), so I don't understand why I can't make changes to the permissions.

  • How to stop the pop-up for saving files when I start the computer?

    Hello

Windows displays a temporary storage area where files are held before they are copied to the CD. Files or folders located in the temporary storage area are listed under files ready to be written on the CD.

Try the steps and check them off below if it helps:

    a. double-click my computer and then double-click the CD burner.

    b. under CD writing tasks, click on delete temporary files.

When you delete the contents of the temporary storage area, you can set this field to another set of files and folders that you want to copy to the CD. The files are not deleted from their location on your computer or on the CD.

  • Inbox Windows Mail files with filesize = 0KB

I use Windows Mail on Vista Ultimate 64-bit system. After more than a year of use, I noticed in the task manager that the CPU usage was 100% all the time Windows Mail is running. After much research, I found more than 72 000 files in the folders/Inbox whose size is 0 KB. After their removal, I have observed the normal use of the processor. However, the files of 0 KB began to reappear. I download email from POP3 servers. When comes to spam in (and I get a lot of it a server apparently unprotected) Windows Mail puts it first in the Inbox and then I see it is moved to the junk e-mail folder. After receiving the e-mail, I noticed that the number of new files of 0 KB was almost always equal, but sometimes a little less, the number of new junk emails that have been downloaded. So, I guess the 0 KB files are created as spam is available in. However, they are never deleted, unless I do it manually, and they continue to build. Is it possible to prevent them being created in the first place?

No doubt.  Sounds a lot like an Anti Virus email scanner gone rogue.  You run one?

Why you don't need your anti-virus program to scan your e-mail

  • When I open Windows mail, I start to get the mail and I get it about 474 243. And then an error saying Windows mail will be closed because of an error.

Windows mail - error and the same letter over and over again.

When I open Windows mail, I start to get the mail and I get it about 474 243. And then an error saying Windows mail will be closed because of an error. And I start it again and I get the SAME email AGAIN, and again, it stops somewhere and closes.

Anyone know what could be the problem?

You can try to set up a new e-mail account and use the exact settings of the account that you have now.  This way, you will have a copy of the same account.  Then see if it has the same problem.  If it works and is not old, and then see if the old man works after this and remove one of them, if you do not receive the messages in doubles.

If the new copy of account has the same problem, then it's a stuck message and your courier company should fix this.

  • I get the same messages code and error with Windows Mail for a week that the person in the previous announcement.

It seemed to have started running last week when we had a huge update of Windows.  Windows Mail does not connect to the top through our wireless network.  He tries to go through several dial-up non-existent.  It is not a problem with my server.  I checked with them.  I tried to pass even if Windows Mail, with tools, through accounts, properties.  Once I get in the window with about 8 tabs on it, I can't get into any tab, except that might do me some good.  When I click on the Connections tab, my computer hangs in Windows Mail, and I leave Windows Mail.  Is there another way to get into Windows Mail to set the connection to Windows Mail?  Is there a way to get my computer to get the network wireless set up as the connection by default because the way he is now, he won't put the connection wireless as the default connection, even if I'm signed up to this time.  It's a problem that has arisen recently and it is extremely annoying.

Try to compact and repair the database first (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) to rule out the possibility that it is a question of database.

Then go to tools | Options | Connection and see if you can set the correct connection there.  Then go to tools | Accounts | Add | Post and add another copy of your e-mail account with the correct settings.  Before you download messages, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | The original properties and uncheck the include account when sending and receiving.  Then check mail on the new account you set up and see if it works.  If so, you can delete the old account.

If it is still a question, then see point 3 here: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 to exclude interference antivirus and see point 15 on this page for updates which could have done (nothing to do with your problem).

Friend upgrade XP to windows 7. not authentic Windows message receipt.  Buy Windows 7 and downloaded to "fix the problem". Computer crashed, but I got a new drive. Should I try install

    Hello

So the Windows 7 machine is fine, but its also empty! That we can help you. The XP machine is another matter. If you want to upgrade these machines to Windows 7, and the minimum hardware requirement is met, you can buy discs of software of Windows 7 operating system for each machine (1 motherboard = 1 license for purchased software).

In addition, I highly recommend you reformat two machines for them to XP RID completely, not to mention viruses / malware. If you plan to update the two XP machines with own versions of XP, that's fine, but this isn't the forum for this, the Windows XP forum would be the place, go here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp?tab=QnA .

Thus, the machine to Windows 7. To take no chances. Allows to run several scans on the new machine. You said "didn't work any more", I suppose you can't start Windows, ways to correct? If so, the answer is a program you burn on a CD called BootMed; Download 64-bit here: http://download.cnet.com/BootMed-64Bit/3000-2094_4-75450831.html and the 32-bit version from here: http://download.cnet.com/BootMed/3000-2094_4-75448200.html (only use the Direct download link).

Once downloaded, burn it to a CD, load this CD in Windows 7 computer and ensure that the CD drive is the first boot device, restart the computer. This will load a modified version of Ubuntu on your system, which includes antivirus and anti-malware programs. Run and remove anything they find. When they have finished their trial scans restarting the computer without the CD installed. What happens now?

Post your results here and let me know how you fare.

    Kind regards

I'm sorry, but you will need a Windows 9 x / ME drive to provide during the XP installation from the XP disc is a version upgrade. There is no way around that. See if you can find a friend with an older operating system disk (not a recovery disk) to support qualification. Otherwise, you would need to buy the full version (not upgrade) of XP to install on the computer. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

In Windows Mail how can I get the answer, menu forward on top of the menu bar on the emails?

I don't think that you can move the toolbar above the Menu bar. Or is the toolbar missing? If it is not present, right-click on an empty spot on the menu bar and check the toolbar.

    Windows with Yahoo mail.

I use windows mail and put so once I go to windows mail notes are deleted from the Yahoo Server. Now all of a sudden, they go in the trash of Yahoo instead of disappering. I use Yahoo mail for junk and spam of the screen, empty the trash from Yahoo, then open the remaining notes with Windows Mail after the release of Yahoo. This has just begun.

It is not clear if you use a POP3 server or an IMAP account - it sounds as if it were an IMAP.  I don't know how messages get tossed into the trash from Yahoo rather than be removed.  You could try to remove the account, closing and reopening of Winmail opener and then adding the new account.  This resolve sometimes strange questions.  Also check interference antivirus (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).
