Windows Mail Msg box pop up when I start the laptop

Hello:

I am running Windows Vista 32 bit Home Premium on a laptop of HP dv6500z.

I have access to my email via a web-based e-mail system.

I do not download e-mail messages from the e-mail system on the Web for an e-mail program
(for example, Outlook, Outlook Express,...) on the laptop.

A few months ago, I started having a pop up dialog box when I start the laptop.

The dialog box is a Windows Mail message box, which leaves think I have "compact the message store" (or archive messages).

I do not use Windows Mail, so why as I get this message?

Should I be "compact the message store?  If so, why? ... since I do not use Windows Mail.

How can I prevent this popup dialog box when I start the laptop?

Thank you...

There is a bug that has this pop-up message in Outlook Express, the same when you're not using it, but I've never heard of what happens in Windows Mail.

This saint, especially as you don't use Winmail, it won't hurt a thing to click OK and accept the compaction. If the problem arises in the future, open WinMail and in tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance, uncheck the box for compact the database on shutdown every xx runs.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks and to reinstall the operating system.

They should do this for a fee, if they still have available to them.

    _____________________________________________________________

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

  • Hello! I have a problem. The year will suddenly change Windows XP... Sometimes when I start the computer is the year 2095 chnged. What can I do about it?

Why id the year change in windows XP?

    Hi Trubbe,

Start with the setting of the time zone to the time zone where you live. Make sure then that "automatically adjust for DST' is checked.

    For more information, see:

Which will probably fix the problem.

However, here are two other things to consider:

    a. check your "input output system BIOS (Basic)" by going to the configuration to the computer he start.  Make sure that time is also set to what you want to be. Consult the manual for the computer to do the same thing.

NOTE: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from configuration can resolved BIOS/CMOS settings. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    b. make sure you have all the patches of Daylight Savings Time installed.  Since we are in the period that would normally be DST in any case, it is probably NOT part of the question, but it's a good belt/suspenders approach to take.

I left by mistake a USB in the port when I restarted my computer (Windows 7).

Since then, when I start the computer, it goes through a few stages starting and then ends with a black screen with a cursor flashing at the top.

If I press ESC during startup and access the start menu, something marked WED... is highlighted and I press on enter and it starts normally.

How can I get Windows 7 to do a normal boot without having to access the Boot Menu each time?

    Thank you.

  • Error Msg appears "Csrsc.exe" when I start laptop Windows XP

Error Msg appears "Csrsc.exe" when I start laptop Windows XP

    Hi K K Mallik,.

What anti-virus software is installed on the computer?

csrsc.exe is a process which is registered as W32. Spybot.CF Virus. This Trojan horse allows hackers to access a computer remotely, flying of the passwords, personal data and Internet banking.

This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

Try to scan your computer using software installed on your computer or if necessary enforcement Online Scan (Microsoft Security Scanner).

A quick way to search for viruses is to use an online, such as the Microsoft Safety Scanner scanner. The scanner is a free online service that helps you identify and remove viruses, clean your hard drive and generally to improve the performance of your computer.

To run the Microsoft Safety Scanner:

    a. go to the page Web of the Microsoft Safety Scanner Download scan.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    b. click on Download nowand then follow the instructions on the screen.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Please post back with the State of the question.

    Hello

Windows displays a temporary storage area where files are held before they are copied to the CD. Files or folders located in the temporary storage area are listed under files ready to be written on the CD.

Try the steps and check them off below if it helps:

    a. double-click my computer and then double-click the CD burner.

    b. under CD writing tasks, click on delete temporary files.

When you delete the contents of the temporary storage area, you can set this field to another set of files and folders that you want to copy to the CD. The files are not deleted from their location on your computer or on the CD.

How can I get rid of the box that appears when you start Firefox 'Restore previous Session'?

Subject: House is the default in Firefox 4 home page - look at the address bar containing the addresses of web page - it is the container for Google search, with a 'extract container' and below these elements is the Previous Session Restore button. It's not the same homepage that previous versions of Firefox used (although it is similar in appearance), it is a 'local' page that won't load the Internet.

Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.

It will also tell you here what Service Packs, if any, are already installed.
