Windows Mail will open all Word 2010 documents in works, not in Word 2010.

I have Home and Office 2010. I use Windows mail. When I receive emails into Word 2010 format, I can open only in the works.  How can I fix it

Create a file association.

1. download and save the attachment to the office.
2. right click on the saved file.
3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
4. click on: choose [default] program.
5. Select: MS Word 2010.
6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
7. click on OK.

This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now.

How can I replace a block if no information bar?

When I click on links HTTP in a Windows Mail message opens a Word document. Windows Mail help seems to indicate that the link is blocked because it may be phishing and that the solution is to click on the link and type unlock in the InfoBar. I don't see an information bar. It started recently, so I think that I have installed a phishing filter updated. Can I remove the offending filter or?

IE9 is blocking the information bar if you want to see it, and then open the message in a separate window and it will appear again or uninstall IE9.  As for opening Word instead of IE, go to the control panel. Default programs | Associate a file type or Protocol with a program, press page down to the HTTP and HTTPS protocols, and set IE as default.

  • Hi windows mail will open only 1 email from each file, i.e. Inbox, junk e-mail, sent, all folders, emails are always in the folders when I check properties I checked Show all messages

Hi windows mail open only 1 email from each file, i.e. Inbox, junk, sent mail, all of these files. summer's fine for 3 years. Show msgs is checked.i can see in the properties of the Inbox I have 70 messages they are there but only 1 will open I see msgs in orange webmail, they say no problem for this purpose. I can also see them in users email location.worried man help

Assuming that it is an email account POP3, go to the message store and see if the messages are really there.  They must be located under the directories for the folder names under the main directory of local folders in the message store.  The store is located under the Users\ [username] \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\ directory and is hidden, so first go to control panel | Folder options | View and uncheck Hide extensions of known file types (so you can distinguish the eml files which are messages) and check the option to show the hidden files and folders.  Then you can see if the messages are in fact always there or missing.  See here for background: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm and also here for what may have caused it: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 as Bruce stated, if the messages are still on the server, you can set up your account again and then download them again.

Important: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. • I received an e-mail which I can't open or delete? When I try to remove it, a bulletin board is telling me that Windows Mail will restart. Why can't I delete an email on Windows Mail?

This is no e-mail spam but I know.  I click it and it will send a message that Windows Mail will restart and it does not start a 2nd time.  Then I try to access this e-mail again, Windows Mail stops and I have to restart Windows Mail all over again.  Does it only for that one e-mail I received 5 days ago and still impossible to remove.

    1. Check work offline.
    2. Turn off the preview pane.
    3. Click message header just to highlight.
    4. Shift + Delete.

If still no joy, try to compact and repair the database.

  • When I open Windows mail, I start to get the mail and I get it about 474 243. And then an error saying Windows mail will be closed because of an error.

Windows mail - error and the same letter over and over again.

When I open Windows mail, I start to get the mail and I get it about 474 243. And then an error saying Windows mail will be closed because of an error. And I start it again and I get the SAME email AGAIN, and again, it stops somewhere and closes.

Anyone know what could be the problem?

You can try to set up a new e-mail account and use the exact settings of the account that you have now.  This way, you will have a copy of the same account.  Then see if it has the same problem.  If it works and is not old, and then see if the old man works after this and remove one of them, if you do not receive the messages in doubles.

If the new copy of account has the same problem, then it's a stuck message and your courier company should fix this.

  • How to get Windows Mail to open in full screen.

How to get Windows Mail to open in full screen (Vista 64).  I went into properties and changed the setting to the maximzed screen.  Still no change.

Windows Mail questions should be asked in this forum.

Change back to normal if maximized properties do not work and follow these steps.

Any window that you want to resize all the time must be the last closed window.

Take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and the latter. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.

The repost in the forum OK this is not resolved.

Since download IE9 has changed the font on my message preview, on Windows Mail panel, and the symbol of the attachment is not there.  How can I change this back?

Just go in the Panel. Programs and features and then click on the left of "view installed updates" and find Windows Internet Explorer 9, and then you can uninstall it.  You should know that it is installed automatically via Windows Update, so you'll need to keep it to be reinstalled.  I think you can go Windows Update manually, and then it will ask you, then you can't deny it there and it should stick.

  • Windows 8 will be out very soon you're working on the update?

Windows 8 will be out very soon you're working on the update?  I have a lot of problems with windows 7 64 bit. It was so easy at the beginning, but not now. After that I worked on my pages, I can't download it so my site is obsolete. I'm still paying your expenses while I can't update my information, I am considering using oher.

You don't mention which program you use to work on your pages or how you download, in general terms any problem you have is unlikely to be caused by win7, but most likely your unknown program or your system.

The upgrade to a different version of the victory, or anything else for that matter, will not cure problems that you might have to less than what you spend to specifically states that in particular a bug has been fixed

  • Windows Mail will not export Emails my folder

Hello. I am trying to export my emails from Windows Mail, so I can import them to another program. I did, however when I looked the imported emails, I realized Windows Mail did not export the folder 'My email'. It has exported all other standard folders such as Inbox, deleted items etc. I tried just to export the folder 'My email', however I just had an empty folder. Any ideas? Thank you.

Can I assume that the "My email" folder is the one you created? What is the other email program you want to move them in? If it's an another e-mail client, try this.

To create a Windows folder on the desktop from the old machine.
    * Open a file in WinMail and drag the messages into the folder on the desktop. (They will remain in WinMail.)
To copy this folder on the desktop on the new machine.
Open the folder and drag the messages to a folder in the new e-mail program.
