• Windows media player / Media center 2005 Edition will not find any music

  I use itunes for my music playback, so I can easily update my ipod,

  When I open the center of media or media player 11, I have no music in my library.

  I tried to add pieces of two monitoring records that I want to add, drag the files to the library, or right click and open with media player and nothing ever happens.

• Windows XP Media Center Edition computer will not start.

  When it starts, I get a BootMagic screen that allows me to choose the normal Windows operating system or partition DOS6. The next screen is text offering choices such as: Safe Mode, last known good Windows, normal windows, etc. None of the choices do something else that restart the boot process.
  I have backups of the C: drive in real Image files and ntbackup. I would like to make a bootable cd or dvd with the files needed to be able to copy the data on another dvd or on the local network to another computer. This computer was made by the gateway. No real installation CD were provided, just a "operating system Disk' which is of no use. The disk has been partitioned as C: D: K: etc. I added a 40 GB IDE drive, which is where half the data is I want back. I can 'see' readers when I boot from an old CD disk to Image, but may not see the LAN or write in the CD burner. Basically, should what files I put on a cd to boot?

  I ripped CD via MP11 and the Windows lossless format.  After having them, I decided to change the tags like for some of them, a right click, type, no problem.

  In MP11 genre tags now show that what I changed them but when I go to the Vista Media Center music library, which is to look at the record music CDs ripped are genres appear as the original labels I came when they were torn.  When I look at the music files also have the original genre listed.

  How can I get the genre has changed in the file information (I guess that Vista Media Center uses this information when it displays the kind) in Media Player?

• Desktop Media Center M7000 HP will not come

  I'm trying to fix a M7000 Media Center computer for a friend.  But when I turn on the computer, run the fans, but nothing appears on the screen.  It's as if the computer is stuck in the Power up.

  Do I need another video card or is there something else (memory or HARD drive?) shut down the computer to complete the power upward and check through the BIOS?

  Thank you for the information.  The problem is the video card.  I removed it and just used the video output of the motherboard and the computer is running back.  My friend is very happy with the computer is back running and didn't cost her what it is.

  I know that the data provider has changed from zap2it to rovi, but I'm still showing zap2it as provider. I have installed all updates; I emptied the DNS cache. I ran the TV setup with several neighbouring postcodes. Still nothing. When I manually run the download I get the message "Download successful" but it's still the zap2it ends and data today.

  I life in the northeast of the Oklahoma 74104 zip. I run Windows 7 64 bit. I use a digital antenna with a tuner of HomeRun. ISP is ATT U-Verse. Any help would be appreciated.

  Says Windows Media Center Internet TV will be available after September 20, 2012, yet it seems to have already stopped running.  How can I get Internet TV working again?   At least until September 20, 2012.  Please don't give me an answer on my TV Tuner Live TV work and I said Internet TV.

• change the order of the images displayed in Windows Media Center

  I'm changing the order that pictures are displayed.  To try to change their order of appearance, I changed the photo taken date of some photos.  When I go through the pictures in Windows Photo Gallery, they appear as I intend.  When I go through the same pictures in Windows Media Center (by date taken) some photo are out.  But they are not the photos that I've changed.

  Once they appear in the correct order, I intend to burn to DVD with background music.

  ·         Have you tried to update the media library of the Center once you have changed the order in which the photos are sorted?

  You can delete and any location where you have saved your photos (media files). This will refresh your Media Center Library and sort files in the order that you have sorted your computer.

  1. on the start screen, navigate to tasks, and then click settings.

  2. click on the library settings.

  3. click on remove the folder to watch and then click Next.

  4. According to the where your digital media files are stored, click one of the options under which folders you want to add?, and then click Next.

  5 navigate in the folders that you want to add by clicking on the - and + buttons, and select the check box next to each folder. (Files in subfolders will be included with your selection).

  6. When you have selected all the folders that you want Windows Media Center to watch, click Next and then click Finish.

  After you have finished adding files, it may take several minutes for the files in the libraries.

  Follow the same steps and add the folders back.

  This will add the files in the order that you have saved on your computer.

  My hp zd7269cl laptop comes with Windows Media Center Edition version 2002. Now these discs are long gone but I bought oem recovery disks but he said media center 2005. Will I have trouble validating my code the product key (on the bottom of my laptop) after a clean install on new hard drive, because they are records of 2005.   That is right.  However, the United States and the Canada, MCE2k5 requires the installation an analog tuner.
  There is also no support for ATSC in Canada (IIRC), and MCE2k5 does not natively support the Clear-QAM (unencrypted digital cable) tuners.

  Could node busy, you give some details?  What country are you in, and is what tuner (s) you are trying to use?
