Windows media player / Media center 2005 Edition will not find any music

I use itunes for my music playback, so I can easily update my ipod,

When I open the center of media or media player 11, I have no music in my library.

I tried to add pieces of two monitoring records that I want to add, drag the files to the library, or right click and open with media player and nothing ever happens.

I have the option selected to add any music that is played at the library, but when I play nothing added songs.

I am also having this problem with media center, and I want to be able to stream my music through my xbox360.

Ive tried everything I can think and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

in fact, as the rest of the forums, I tried I cam on someone with the same problem, I had, staceygumbert I think anywho, I used your answer to his problem...

    Hello

Windows XP Media Center is available for OEM only and if you don't have a motherboard the OEM valid, it will not activate.

The only option would be to get a newer version of Windows if your system supports or get an OEM motherboard (HP) that you can use the recovery on.

Microsoft has integrated free versions of all those for Windows 10.  They don't come in the download, but you can get them as an option from the app store (free) Windows.

  • Windows Media Center Scheduler service is not running, even when the value of autostart

I had some trouble recently getting Windows Media Center to record programs. I did some research and found that Windows Media Center (ehSched) Scheduler Service does not start when I start my computer.
It IS configured to start automatically.
When I found that the service has not been started, I have manually started, but would find it himself quit again a few minutes later.
It of very frustrating and resulted in missing the scheduled recordings.
The only way to save that program is open the WMC and actually watching the program for the duration of the scheduled recording. (Not good if I'm not home!)

I am running Windows 7 32 bit SP1 on a laptop of Toshiba Satellite A500.

    Help, please!

    Hi the Flomsat,

I would say looking at the following thread because it's a question similar to yours:

I tried all the solutions on this thread. None was able to solve my problem.

However, I found a fix that MAY have worked (it's only 1 day but so far it looks promising).

    Open Windows Media Center,

Click on settings-> General-> optimization-> uncheck to "perform an optimization. I never noticed an increase in performance and reliability with it turns out, in fact, now that I think about it, when I turned it on, my Scheduler service started having these problems. It must be able to close the Scheduler to 'optimize '...

    UPDATE *.
    It did NOT work

I had to reinstall windows to get it working again :(

  • Windows Media Center: guide program does not update

    Hello

This is my first post here.

I hope someone can help with Windows Media Center (7) electronic programs guide. For a few weeks now, it did not update properly. We receive updates for the local HD channels only - local standard-def channels or regular cable channels.

I tried various methods to get MCUPDATE. EXE update completely the EPG, but nothing has worked. The most "promising" indication (regarding an indication as to what happens), we had, is that, sometimes, we get the error message "cannot retrieve updates (error: HeadendID [eight-digit number] is not valid.)»

I tried to contact Zap2It and they referred me to Microsoft, this is how I found myself here. The procedure for reporting a problem to the EPG is not exactly crystalline, so please bear with me if I did something wrong. (Zap2It gave me a link to https://connect.microsoft.com/site1145, but when I click on "the comments link on the left" as indicated on the page, it just brings back me to the same page).

If it helps to have this information, we are on Comcast and using a CableCARD in a Ceton InfiniTV 4 PCI - E tuner. We can watch all the channels that we subscribe to, and we can save them manually, but there is no metadata program and we do not have records of the series on cable. Please let me know what I need to do to report this to someone who is able to solve the problem.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello Barb,

I tried this (evolution of postal codes) last night, one of many new things I've done. I chose the closest city that was not ours and got a little familiar set of guides to the choice. One of them selected and downloaded - but of course the channels does not match.

We finally had success when I risked to re-run the installation of TV program; My fear was that we might have to re-pair the CableCARD everywhere again, which is a major pain as some cable company RSC have never even heard of him, and even fewer know what to do about this. So go through configuring TV was as a measure of last resort for me.

But I've learned that we can only accept the existing information of CableCARD in WMC and go on its merry way. We have completed the installation process, enter the correct zip code once again - and this time we got not only all the right-hand lanes, but also a value of 12 days of listings!

So I'll add new run TV installation for our 'Protocol' in case we ever run into this issue once again. There is great relief in our House!

  • Windows xp Media Center 2005 edition crashes while downloading the tv guide

Installation of Media center TV guide comes to where I choose my provider and click Next the program freezes and the only way out is via the Task Manager. Any ideas? Ive updated XP and media center edition 2005 until units there is no more updates or extensions to download.

I was wrong, I've been experimenting and finally succeeded. It has nothing to do with nividia.

Remove the Microsoft .NET Framework 4. There is also a client, delete that one too.

Anyway, I tried to put it back recently, and for me it was ok.

I suggest that you first try the update of windows. If this does not work, uninstall the foregoing.

Problem was more for me after that, I really believe that it will be for you too.

    Good luck!

  • XPS One 27, Windows Media Center 8, plays is not HDCP?

By exploring solutions to this problem, that it came to light that WMC will not support DisplayPort or non-DHCP displays when reading copy protected content. I am able to play properly HBO on my home-built Windows 8 with WMC PC equipped with an external monitor. 27 a XPS uses an internal DisplayPort for connection of the screen? • Windows Media Center didn't undating not yet.

A few years ago my Media center was running down, less than a week before the updates are available.  Now he has done it again.  I miss programming next Tuesday - July 22, 2015.  Under the heading "about guide data" he told zap2it expires then.  Microsoft is committed to providing these data, as long as they make computers with Media Center on them, whether they are.  But when you ask for help, they have no idea what mean you.  What is going on?  Before he is always updated before it expires, but never had this close before.

Re-run the installation of the TV. If this does not work:

You must include your provider name and postal code
