    Configuration settings can be unruly

    All,

I lived the same "configuration settings can be defined incorrectly" when troubleshooting through the control panel with Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 7. One day all WMP suddenly stopped playing all video and audio files. I tried all methods of troubleshooting above and in several other forums. I had no chance. I was about to give up and do a complete reinstall of my OS. So I got thinking that WMP was the source of corruption, I have noticed that I had lost his suit. My Device Manager hardware detector sound card driver updated and seemed to be fine. Nevertheless, I went ahead and completely uninstalled the drivers for my Creative Labs Soundblaster. Windows shortly after automatically detected the card sound and began to install the drivers on its own. Once finished my sound was back. I went and checked the WMP and it worked again. What a relief... I was dreading having to do a reinstall of the operating system.

  • My music files have changed in WMA format in Windows Media Player, and now my MP3 player won't play them.

My music files have changed in wma format in windows media player, and now my mp3 player won't play them.  can anyone help please.

    original title: Media Player

Download and install WMA to MP3 Converter, then install it, you can get it here... http://www.WMA-MP3.org/

Then select all the WMA files you want to convert, and then convert them to the MP3 Format.
The reason why they are WMA is because when you ripped the files on the disc to your pc, by default, Windows Media Player is configured to save in the Windows Media Audio (WMA) Format.
This default can be changed by opening Media Player and click on Tools > Options
Then select the Rip music tab
Format: select MP3 from the drop-down list.
    Click apply and OK.
Now the next time you rip a CD on your drive hard it will be automatically saved as an MP3 file.

  • Cannot configure the pedal to work with Windows Media Player

OT: WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER/PEDALS - NEED TO TEST FOR A MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION JOB URGENT - UNEMPLOYED TO RUN OUT OF MONEY!

I need my pedal to work - something about Windows Media applications and find a .wma extension file, so I can test for medical transcription. Apparently, I'm supposed to have some sort of connector plug-and-play. What kind of pedal I have no idea. I have two and neither a no matter what brand name or marking, whether. I downloaded Express Scribe according to the instructions of the employer, but have no idea how to do to get things to work.

    Hello kbarr5050,

    1. your pedal has a USB connector to connect to the computer?

    2. what happens when you connect your pedal to the computer?

Most of the pedal are Plug-and-play with a USB connection and should be detected when connect you to the computer. There are three controls which are usually Setup for rewind (right), play/pause (Center) and fast-forward (left), but you can configure them.

    a. If you have a CD you received with the pedal, follow the instructions in the wizard and install it.

    b. install Windows Media Player plugin pedal if the device does not announce a capacity inherent in the application. Download the Windows Media plug-in website of your foot pedal developer support as directed by the manual of the device or the help section (you need to contact the employer for information on this).

    c. open the pedal control application.

    d. Enter your key combinations you want in the corresponding fields in the pedal assignments tab.

My windows media player suddenly started acting weird (slow ripping time; doubling and tripling occasionally, content CD for example library). On troubleshooting, I repeatedly get two messages: 1) library is corrupted. (2) configuration settings can be setincorrectly. I get no additional guidance where to go/how to fix and I keep going round in circles with the troubleshooting packs. any ideas. I only used it for audio so far

I have tried many suggestions for an error where Windows Media Player (WMP) would not play any music or video files after a reinstall of Windows 7 online.

All the drivers have been checked for the latest driver in Device Manager after reinstallation.

Update of drivers have been installed, if necessary,

Not all files would play in WMP.

Error messages have been the library WMP files were corrupt or configuration settings can be unruly.

None of the suggestions online worked for me.

    Try the following:

Right click on this web page and create a shortcut on your desktop at the top of the landing page after the reboot.

Click on: start - type "device manager".

    Click: Device Manager

Click on: "audio, video and game controllers".

    Click on: Driver tab

Click: CODEC Audio of IDT high definition (HD)

    Click: uninstall

    Reset

DOWNLOAD: IDT high definition (HD) Audio CODEC 2013

(You can get this leave you PC service site manufacturer or an application to update the driver.)

    Reset

    This solved my problem.

    I hope this helps.
