  I'm working on a presentation in Windows Movie Maker.  Why the music seems to jump whenever I have a 'transition' / 'effect' between clips (for example a fade in).  When I remove the transitions, the sounds of the music very well.  I want the transitions to be included because it adds a little more interest to the presentation.  Also, is there a way to create the title and subtitles in Word and import them into the presentation?  Allowing more flexibility and options with design (integration of treatment of logos/fonts/etc.).

  2. on the home tab use Add music to add music to the full clip.

  3 move the vertical slider on the film to where you want the music to stop.

  4. on the Edit tab, select Split.

  5. now, using mouse cursor select just the audio running along the top of the video AFTER your split point.

  6. press delete on your keyboard.

  You could also do it by reducing the volume of the section of audio after the split to zero.

Sorry about the language, but he me flusters when a mac I got in 2006 surpasses my two day old PC. On mac, I press a button and random transitions appear on ALL my photos.

  Sorry, you have a problem with that!  I added a few steps, I hope, will help with the addition of transitions.  Please let us know status.  Thank you!

  1.	On the table of the storyboard / timeline, click the second of the two video clips, titles or images that you want to add a transition between.
  2.	Click on Tools, and then click Transitions.
  3.	In the content pane, click the transition that you want to add. You can click read under the screen to see a preview of what looks like the transition.
  4.	Click the Clip, and then click Add to the timeline or Add to the storyboard table.
  Notes ·         You can also add a transition by dragging in the timeline and dropping it between two clips on the video track. Or, if you are in the view storyboard, drag the transition to the cell to transition between two video clips or pictures. ·         If you updated your Windows XP computer to Windows Vista, any other transitions and effects that you had previously downloaded and installed will not be available in the current version of Windows Movie Maker. The preview reading is perfectly fine and everything works normally and then I publish. Publication is going smoothly, but something must of happened between this amount of time, because the video is now scrunch all upward on the top (its dimensions are now all distorted to extend over the screen to halfway) and on the bottom half there is just a green screen. It occurs only after the publication. I tried to change an option that I use when publishing... did the same thing. Then I thought maybe it was some kind of title effect I used... it's not. I tried to delete all the effects on my thing and editing like that... This isn't the problem. The only thing that could be a problem, it's that it's a different file, then I usually use I think that... I had like a torrent file, but when I look, it works well and is not. So I do not understand... any suggestions?

  Maybe the music file has a compatibility problem.

  It may be worth trying to convert the music file to the
  . WMA or. Format WAV before import into Movie Maker.

  Also... try to go on... Tools / Options / Compatibility tab
  and left click Restore values by default all the button / OK.

  Have you tried to split the Audio file (Ctrl + L) at the end of the video
  and then right-click / Delete the unwanted part?

  Or... to increase the duration of the photos. If you place the cursor on the edge
  a photo on the timeline, you'll see a red double arrow... you can
  Drag the arrow to change the duration. A ToolTip should appear to show
  change.

  BTW... Photo Story 3 is a good software to make video slideshows.

  For the timeline... trying to drag a second instance
  video on the audio / music.

  Right click / Mute the Audio track.

  You can drag the file to the audio / music
  left or right then maybe you can synchronize audio
  with the video.

  I seem to have the same problem as tantoe but when I clicked on the link in your message, it took me to the page, but the person's recommendation was not good; It (don't remember the name) had two links to click & when I clicked on the two I was redirected to a page that says that the page could not be found.

  The song with that I have a problem is "I'm in love (with a killer)" by Jeffree Star &, as with all my other audio files that I did NOT have this problem with, is mp3 format. I have a video in mind with this song & pictures I saved star but Windows Movie Maker cannot import it.

  If there is anything you could do, advice you could give, I would really appreciate it. This is my favorite song by Jeffree Star & it drives me crazy not being able to import it into Movie Maker. :-/

  I converted the videos of. MOV to. MPG and so they could be added in movie maker, the video works fine but the sound does not work. I already tried to play videos on windows media player and the sound works fine. I also tried to add another video from a different digital camera (it is also. MI/GAL) and the video worked very well... they are both. MPG, but only the sound files works in Movie Maker.
