Hello
Frequently, I use Windows Movie Maker to edit videos of my friends... But WHENEVER I have to edit a video, and I play it back it ALWAYS freezes... Not the program, but the video Clip... And when I publish it, it freezes EVEN in the video as the preview... My ONLY solution is to keep cutting & removing parts of the video, but my videos are always less than 5 Minutes of time... Please HELP if you can... Thank U...
Oh, I already know about the Type of Format already... All my videos are 'WMV '... And besides that & "AVI", any other Type of video Format won't let you edit video, he would go to the Audio Section... But I checked my memory @ BobinSECO and my computer says it was good & right now to 4.0 GB (RAM)...

Windows Movie Maker has stopped play mpg videos
Hi all
I've been using Director windows for more than two years for my movie editing video canon. I always convert the canon film to video files .mpg, like this is done by one of the canon utility. After that, I import videos to movie maker window. All of a sudden I have seen I am unable to read the video portion. However, it plays the audio pat. It gives no error as well.
Please let me know what could be the possible reasons for this problem and how to solve this problem.
Best regards
Gauri
Hello
· Remember to make changes to the system?
· Are you able to play the file formats using Director of windows?
Normally, something like that, the problem is resolved by downloading and reinstalling the latest Microsoft codec packs. Click on the link below.

Windows Movie Maker, add narration and music?
Im trying to add music to the background of my video, but I also need narration. It seems as if I have only one or the other, and the only way to have 2 audio tracks is to use audio that comes with the video file and then have EITHER music OR narration. How can I have all 3?
Hi weeksma,
In Windows Movie Maker, it is not possible to add music and narration to the time in a video but as a work-around, try this:
Step 1
(1) open a new project in Movie Maker.
(2) add your videos to the script/storyboard.
(3) add audio recordings (narration clips) in the timeline panel.
(4) making adjustments to the video and soundtrack.
(5) export the video file.Add narration to your movie
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/add-narration-to-your-movie
Step 2
(1) then open a new a Movie maker project.
(2) import the exported video.
(3) add the music to the timeline.
(4) set the volume on the left side of the timeline in the pan the audio or music.
(5) export video.Add music to your movie

Please provide us with more information so that I can help you in a much better way.

Windows Movie Maker plays audio only, from video files downloaded
(I see other, similar types of questions about my problem, but none that fits 'exactly'. So here we are...) Recently, I used the Roxio VHS to DVD software to capture movies at home at my computer. Files saved as .mpg files.
When I tried to use Windows Movie Maker to edit some clips at all, I couldn't see any video (only the audio was playing).
I used the 'compatibility', put options different filters turned off. but this does not work either.
What should I do to solve my problem (and subsequently, to play these videos)?

My Windows Movie Maker will not publish my video! Help!
Whenever I try and publish my video, about 19% through, it will say "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. "Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the backup location is still available, and that there is enough available disk space and then try again .
I tried everything that I could find-unchecking filters, reset, settings, shorten, taking the effects, transitions, and even download free audio and put it back later. Please help , I spent all day on this video.
It is 4 minutes and 18,62 megabytes.
Thanks for your help, but they are already all WMV format.

Still may be worth a try... convert wmv WMV.

Windows Movie Maker will not show the video
I made a video in the movie player to windows, but every time I have save and play the video don't market not appear, but the fact of the audio. How can I make the video show?
Hi laura234646,
Did you check if the problem occurs with another drive?
This problem may be caused by audio\video filters present on the computer.
Step 1: I suggest that disable you video filters and driver, to do this, follow these steps:
Director of open windows,
1. click on Toolsand then click Options.
2. click on the compatibility tab.
3. to turn off a filter, clear the check box next to the name of the video filter.
Now, check if the problem is resolved.
(See the section, what can I do if I have problems with video in Windows Movie Maker filters?)
If the problem persists,
Step 2: Reduce hardware acceleration to check
1. open display settings by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, on appearance and customization, personalization, and then clicking display settings.
2. click on display settings, and then click Advanced settings.
3. click on the Troubleshooting tab, and then click on change settings. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
4. reduce the hardware acceleration slider to zero.
Thank you, and in what concerns:

Why my Windows Movie Maker is not record my video?
She claims that the specified files are not found. I have imported a + RW DVD files and had to use the handbrake to convert the file. He strongly degraded quality but worked. He also cut a clip in 4 small clips. Then I converted to WMV with Youtube Downloader Converter. I'm very confused, and this never happened to me before. I can see the WMV very well and it imported into Movie Maker without problem, but now, it does not completely save. He arrived at about 17 percent, before receiving an error message. I am running Windows XP. Help, please! Project is due in 2 days!
Hello
1. could you give us the exact error message?
Set the computer started to clean and check then maybe there is a third party application that is the source of the conflict. You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

Windows Movie Maker 2.6 plays no sound on some videos
I converted the videos of. MOV to. MPG and so they could be added in movie maker, the video works fine but the sound does not work. I already tried to play videos on windows media player and the sound works fine. I also tried to add another video from a different digital camera (it is also. MI/GAL) and the video worked very well... they are both. MPG, but only the sound files works in Movie Maker.
just forget about it. for ANYONE having a problem with Windows Movie Maker, just go and download Video Editor Pad. its free and 10 times easier to use.
